I was slumped over my desk bawling my eyes out. I was in the back room of a rather large house in Texas that used be owned by my mother and her grandparents before her. Now it only belonged to me. My Mother had died the month before in a car accident, and she left this old house to me in her will."How the hell am I going to pay off this house?" I asked myself, my voice cracked and full of sadness and regret. The house was old, and with old houses, it was filled with memories.I remember all those years of fun I had with my mother and grandparents. My Grandfather teaching me how to shoot a rifle and my Mother teaching me how to box.My Mother was a strict, but kind woman. As for my Father, well I never met the deadbeat, He left me and my Mother to rot. Oh shoot, I'm rambling here, lets get back to the story.
I looked around the room and saw all the old pictures and old war memorabilia.
I'll be damned before I let the IRS take this house.
How do you expect to beat the IRS? Hell, they got Al Capone.
Shut up Logic!
Suddenly, a radio I had on the table suddenly started blaring a message of warning.
"ALL CITIZENS IN THE [REDACTED] COUNTY AREA ARE TO BE WARNED OF INCOMING TORNADOES. REPEAT ALL CITIZENS IN THE [REDACTED] COUNTY AREA ARE TO BE WARNED OF INCOMING TORNADOES."
Well,shit
Shit, indeed
Almost immediately I started hearing swirling winds. "My luck can't be that bad." I ran to the window and saw possibly the most shit-your-pants scary thing any human being can look at. "F*CK my life." I frantically ran to grab my survival pack.
I told you this would come in handy some day.
Really?NOW?!?!
I ran toward the stairs leading to my cellar, only then was it that I realized just how close the tornado was.
The entire house began to creak and groan, and suddenly I felt weightless.
"NO, I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
