Family and Love

Chapter 1: First Meeting

Soarin was waiting at the Canterlot train station for hours it seems.  At first he thought he was early or that the train was late.  He wondered if he should just fly to Ponyville and see Rainbow Dash until he hears the sound of the train coming in.  As soon as the train arrived, he got on and was going to take a seat when he sees a pony with a rainbow mane reading a newspaper.  At first he thought it was some other pony until he sees the color of his coat is a pale blue.  He just shrugs it off and sat down on one of the benches near the rear end and pulled out a Daring Do book with the title Daring Do and the Temple of Chaos that Rainbow lent him.

About an hour later, Soarin hears "We will be ariving at Ponyville soon, next stop Manehatten."

"Rainbow was right, this story can be entertainning."  He was finishing a chapter where Daring Do was just helping some high up snob of a stallion that reminded him of Blueblood.  He then puts the book into his saddle pack and walks off towards the exit while at the same time he sees that same stallion stand up and heads off towards another exit.  He was confused at first and when he looks outside, he sees Rainbow Dash there and wondered whats she is doing there.  He decided to not worry about it and walked outside and off the train.

He sees Dash there and was about to walk up to her until he sees that same stallion walk up to her and they doth hugged each other which made Soarin confused and when he walks up to them and as soon as Dash sees him she says with much excitment in her voice "Soarin!  Your here as well."

"Of course, I'm here to see my marefriend when it's so near her birthday."

Dash then ran up to him and both of them hugged and locked lips together.  They stayed that way until a voice says "So Dashie, care to introduce us."

Dash then let go of Soarin and says "Oh Soarin, this here is my father Spectrum and dad, this is my coltfriend Soarin."

Spectrum then walked up to Soarin and says "Its a pleasure to meet you Soarin."

All Soarin could do is stammer out "Of-of course sir."

Spectrum laughs and says "Come on Soarin, we are family here."

Before he could say anything else, a pink energetic pony came out of nowhere and says "Oh my gosh!  Dashie's dad is here to visit!  This is so exciting and it's nearing her birthday we should thorw a welcome party for him first and then" but a cyan hoof was on her lips and Dash says "Pinkie, how about we have my birthday as his welcome to Ponyville party ok"

As soon as she let go Pinkie says "Well now, time to make the party twice as fun." she then bounced off and Spectrum then says "so I'm guessing she is like that."

"Yeah dad, she can be a handful at some times." Before Soarin could say anything Rainbow says "Hey dad, how about I introduce my other friends to you."

Spectrum smiled and says "Alright then."

As soon as they walked a bit from the train station they hear a soft patter of wings until they see a young pony on a scooter heading towards them,  They then hear her shout "Rainbow!"  she then skidded to a complete stop and said "Hey Dash, are you able to teach me to fly yet?"

"Not yet squirt, I'm showing my dad around Ponyville."

Scootaloo then looked to the stallion standing next to Dash and sees him smiling and say "Hi there, my name is Spectrum and you are?"

"Scootaloo sir." Replied Scootaloo with a bit of wonder in her eyes

Spectrum then says "Well its a pleasure to meet you Scootaloo."

Scootaloo then sees Soarin and says "Hi there Soarin."

"Hi Scootaloo."

"Hey Scootaloo," said Rainbow "Where are your friends sisters."

"They are all over at Twilights place."

"Thanks Scoots."

After Scootaloo left they went on towards the local library and on there way there many mares that are on the streets took notice of the stallion that is walking alongside Dash and Soarin and Soarin could almost hear some of them say

"Who is that stallion?"

"Some newcomer."

"He sure is handsome."

"Almost as handsome as Big Mac."

All Soarin could do is smile thinking they are talking about the stallion next to him and Dash.  All three of them continued walking towards the library.  As soon as they arrived, Dash knocked on the door to which some patter of feet and when the door opened, Spike was standing there and says "Hey there Dash, Pinkie is holding some sort of a party about some ponies dad is here."

"That's right Spike, and here he is."

She then pointed to another stallion that is to the right of her to which he says "Hi there, I'm Rainbows dad."

Before Spike could say anything, a pink blur knocked him to the side and says with excitement in her voice "Welcome Rainbows dad!"

Spectrum laughed under his breath and says "Please, call me Spectrum."

"Ok, Specks!"

She then went inside the library and Spectrum gets a confused look and says "Specks?"

"Don't worry dad," said Rainbow "That's just Pinkie being Pinkie."

"So you said in your letter."

Both of them laugh to which Soarin smiles and thinks "Glad to see both of them having a good time, this is going good so far."

He then patted a certain spot that resembles a small box that is in his bag and afterwards he followed them inside to join the party.
