Student/Teacher Conference

A full day gone by in what seemed like the blink of an eye. Each myth she was told swirled around in her mind to produce a fun daydream that kept Sweetie Belle entertained until the next myth was told. At one point the class had broken into groups and she hadn't even noticed until Applebloom asked for her input on the assignment. Shrugging it off as Sweetie just being Sweetie, Applebloom went back to talking to Scootaloo about the assignment. "No wait! What were we doing? Sorry girls, I'm just a little distracted..."

Applebloom sighed, "We were told to make up a 'myth', doing our best to keep a past civilization's culture in mind."

"You okay Sweetie Belle?" Scootaloo asked, "Even this morning you seemed a little out of it."

"Yea, I'm fine. Anyway, why don't we try..." Her mind raced with ideas, mixing and matching myths then coming up with the full story in her head. Overwhelmed with the potential, she squeaked and zoned back out.

Looking at each other Applebloom and Scootaloo said perfectly synchronized, "She isn't fine." With that, the bell rung and everyone started packing up their things.

Snapping out of it and realizing she had zoned out again, Sweetie's cheeks began to get a little rosy. Cherilee noticed this and said, "Sweetie Belle, mind staying after for a minute?" to which Sweetie's cheeks became redder than than they had before.

After all the other students had left, Sweetie had approached her teachers desk and asked, "Did I do something wrong, Ms. Cherilee?"

"What? No, I was just saw that you had looked a little distant throughout the day. Maybe even troubled," Cherilee replied, "Is there anything you want to talk about?"

Trying to avoid her gaze, Sweetie let out a quick "Nope!"

"Sweetie Belle..." Cherilee was saying when she was interrupted.

"Alright fine, I'll tell you as long as you keep it a secret. Pinkie Pie promise not to tell anyone?" Sweetie had asked with the widest puppy-dog eyes Cherilee had seen in a while. She nodded her head and Sweetie continued, "I've been having these weird dreams and headaches recently. I've told Rarity about them but didn't go into much detail. The thing is that they aren't normal dreams, in the one I have most often I feel like I'm older and I have a coltfriend, but one day we have to stop talking, yet instead of being sad or missing him I still feel happy. The headaches aren't that normal either, I've had one most of class. They feel like they are a little sore," She paused, but continued, "but they make ideas swirl around in my head and the ideas create more ideas, and then those ideas make more ideas, and then those ideas make..."

She squeaked, and before Cherilee could stop it tears were running down Sweetie's cheeks and many different things from her desk were now floating around the room in a magical Aura she could only assume was also Sweetie's. With another squeak and another tear the items dropped to the floor. "Sweetie, calm down dear," Cherilee said trying to console the crying fillie in front of her, "Everything will be alright. Just take a few deep breaths."

Sweetie did as she was told. She felt oddly... better. "Thanks Ms. Cherilee. I didn't know I could do that," she looked at the papers that had spilled onto the floor.

"Don't worry about it, its just a few letters," Cherilee reassured the fillie as best she could, "Do you think you can tell me more about your dreams? When did they start?"

"They started around Hearts and Hooves day, School was over for the day. When I had gotten home I opened up my textbook to find a letter in it someone had ment to give me, but there was no signature or any clues as to who it was that wrote it. All I know is someone must have been too shy to give it to me directly so they put it in my textbook while I wasn't looking," Sweetie recalled, trying to remember the details about the letter, "I forget what it says, but I still have it if you would like to see it."

"I just may take you up on that offer," Cherilee said, "What about the coltfriend in the dream?"

Sweetie kept trying to clear her mind, but her headache was getting in the way. "He is the only part of the dream I have trouble remembering. I know he was nice, and that in the dream atleast it seemed as if we loved each other, but beyond that I can't remember. He had no face."

"He certainly sounds like an interesting fellow," 'A colt with no face?' Cherilee thought to herself, 'That sounds familiar, I wonder,' "What about the place? Where are you in the dream?".

Her headache getting even further in the way, Sweetie squeaked and started crying again. Cherilee came around and gave her a hug to try and comfort her.

"Sweetie, have you felt a little lonely lately?" Cherilee looked down at Sweetie Belle with a bit of curiosity. She nodded, just as Cherilee had done for her just a minute or two ago. "Would you like to hear another story?"

"Y-yes." Surprised by the lack of words from the fillie, she continued.

"Alright, I will tell you the story of the Sailor's Companion and I must say that of all the myths we will cover I normally keep this one to myself. You will understand why, one day.

Our story begins on a dock..."
