Suit up (chapter 2)

HSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS An sound awoken the astronauts, there eyes weary, they rubbed the sleep out of their eyes. They got used to the Nitrous Oxide sleeping chambers though sleeping standing was comfortable.

Before them they see the capsule door open and through the window of the spaceship, an beautiful planet encircled with clouds, and the sun shimmering behind them. They forgot today was the day... the day we land.

"Ok crew scan the planet and give me the statistics," Irons said weary and tired sounding. "Yes sir," everybody said in unison, "the planet seems to have vegetation and an fair atmoshpere," Anderson reported. "The planet has an moon and a sun, much like Earth," Kocheryzkin replied.

Walls looked nervous and confused, "Umm sir..." Irons responded with an "Walls?,"  "Umm my sensors are indicating that the sun and moon is orbiting the planet..." Everyone went silent as Irons walked over to Walls and saw on the screen was an circle with 2 rings with circles around it.

"Impossible... Volkov, Walls try to get this fixed, there's something wrong with this computer." Irons demanded "were landing on the planet soon."

While Walls and Volkov were disassembling the computer and other panels of the space ship, the other crew were preparing to land on the planet.

"Kocheryzkin, move into the lander and check if all systems are go."

Kocheryzkin responded with an "aye captain." While with Walls and Volkov, Volkov really got tired of this shit and she finally bursted,

"This computer is dumb as fuck!, I can't see what's wrong with it!," slamming her screwdriver on the floor.

"Captain," an voice came from the lander, "all systems are go and systems are online," Kocheryzkin responded.

"Good, Volkov forget the computer, everyone start gearing up," They all nodded without saying a thing and started walking towards where their guns and helmets were stored. Kocheryzkin put on his helmet and grabbed his AK-906z and his Javelin and slung it over his shoulder. As everyone else followed his action,

"Testing, Testing, can you hear me?," Kocheryzkin saying in his helmet. "Check 1, Check 2, Check 3, Check 4, Check 5," they all said so they can confirm they had everyone.

Irons turned off the artificial gravity and they all started floating, "OK everyone head for the lander and buckle up, you know the drill,"

Irons passes his rifle and his plasma gun first into the lander and crawled through the small hole that connected to the lander. He secured all the guns on the wall and bucked up, Irons sat at the front left of the lander, Kocheryzkin sat next to him.

"Ok everyone visors down, when were entering the atmosphere we don't want to be blinded," Irons instructed. "Everyone ready?"

They all said in unison... "lets do this."  Irons started pressing a couple of buttons and swiches and then said "Kocheryzkin release the lander from the command module," Kocheryzkin turned a knob 90 degrees to the right, then lifted an glass casing and then pressed an switch.

An small push was felt when he pressed the button and slowly moved towards the planet, an fire encasing engulfed them as it entered the planets atmosphere. The whole lander shook violently as they entered, everyone squinting at the bright light, holding on for their dear lives.

Then the automatic computer system deployed the drag chute which pulled the supersonic main parachute which was HUUGE, then 3 secondary parachutes was deployed as the main parachute was released. Then the reverse engines kicked in slowing down the lander to an slower decent.

"Kocheryzkin, release the secondary chute," Irons instructed, The stabilization engines kicked in and slowly they approached the ground. They steered towards a clearing in the wooden area and prepared to land.

Walls called out the altitude, "50...45...40...35...30...25...20...15...10...5...." "Contact lights," Irons said and they touched down. "Engine off, APA at an decent, manual and auto engine override off, engine arm off..." "Men... and Women we have landed," Irons said with an proud voice, everyone in the lander started cheering, hugging and shaking hands.

"Anderson analyze the atmosphere," Irons told her. An few seconds passes when she said, "Amazing... almost the same as Earth, 56% Nitrogen, 41% Oxygen and 3% other gasses probably Argon." Irons surprised, he responded with an, "Really?, wow... well I don't care if it's like Earth's air, I want your suits on at all times."

Kocheryzkin suddenly said, "Captain the gravity is weaker than Earth, about 5/6 of Earth's gravity."

"Ok but we still don't know the pressure of the outside so again, suits on,"Irons demanded.

They started grabbing their weapons and gear and readied up. Irons then gave the command of depressurization of the lander, after a few minutes the pressure of the lander was the equivalent of the outside pressure. Irons stepped forward to the door, he spun the wheel clockwise 180 degrees and pushed.

An bright light shone through every ones visors as what they saw made their jaw drop. They saw grass and high mountain ranges in the back and it actually had wind. Irons slowly climbed downed the ladder and stood on the grass... he was the first man to be on an new planet, an tear formed behind his helmet visors as he has just accomplished an task the human race would be proud of. The rest of the crew followed him down and soon they were all on the grass.

Kocheryzkin walked passes Irons and planted two metal poles about 15 feet away from the lander with an American flag and a Russian flag on it. Then he raised his right hand up to his helmet and saluted,  Irons walked up to the flag, nodded and also saluted. Then the rest of the crew followed and held that pose for at least 30 seconds. Then Anderson turned around for no reason and started studdering and breathing heavily.

As everyone turned around she was pointing at some liquid pouring out of the lander. They all suddenly realized it was the fuel...

Irons on instincts, he yelled "EVERYONE RUN!", they only made it 5 feet away when an sudden bright light engulfed the lander and an small BOOM was heard. An pillar of black smoke poured out of the vehicle and started burning. They could only stand back and watch as they could do nothing, Irons started mumbling something but it soon became audible.

It was an "no no no no no NONO NOOO..." He collapsed to his knees, seeing that almost an quarter of the lander is gone. "W-were not going to m-m-make it b-back..." he finally managed to get that out, now gasping for air, he felt something on his back and he was lifted up.

"Thanks g-guys, but w-were n-n-not going to...." he was cut off by Volkov, "make it back, we know." she lifted up her visor, now showing her face, she managed to break an grin. Now he felt many hands on his back, he now lifted his visors showing his red puffy eyes and an weak smile.

They all pulled together in an awkward hug that lasted for about an minute. He wasn't alone... at least.

IN CANTERLOT

The 6 friends were at Canterlot because Rarity wanted to see Sapphire Shores fashion show, Twilight wanted to visit the Canterlot Library again, and Rainbow Dash wanted to see the Wonderbolts show that was today. The others decided that they will regroup at 4:00 and everypony went her ways.

Twilight went to the Castle, Rarity to the show, Fluttershy to the local zoo, Applejack to the local market, Rainbow Dash still had some time so she took a nap on a cloud and pinkie pie... who knows....

SOME TIME LATER

Rainbow Dash was was woken up from a foul smell that made her cough and wheeze that filled her lungs. But the only problem was that she was engulfed by darkness...

Her natural instincts kicked in and with incredible speed she soared out of the black haze. Still coughing, she now sees that she and the cloud floated away from Canterlot, seeing that castles back at an angle.

She looked down, bulky white cyborg looking thing and a burning well... thing stood in the wooden area carrying metal poles, "what is that?..." she said quietly to herself. The black smoke was scary and all but this was terrifying.

She took her camera out of her saddlebag that she carried for the Wonderbolts show and took quick pictures before she flew off.The first thing that came to her mind were ALIENS... she needed to find Twilight.

A few minutes later, Rainbow Dash was soaring across the Canterlot sky completely ignoring the guards screaming at her to get down from there. She then flies into a random open window hoping that it's the library, surprisingly she was right.

"Oh hey Rainbow, what's up?" Twilight noticing the shocked expression on her face.

"I-is there anything wrong?" She took the pictures she took and threw them onto the table where there was 5 figures standing looking at the same direction, a smoking...thing..., and 2 mysterious unusual flags.

"What is this?..." she now asked her with full attention,

"Twilight, I might sound crazy, but I think those are aliens and that's there UFO that came to this planet..." Rainbow said with a pale face.

"Wh-wha- WHAT? ALIENS???" Twilight was now in clear interest. "Those markings... they have flags... and a never-seen things in their hands and on their sholders." "T-t-there intelligent... and they stand on their hind legs... possibly bipedal... and they seem advanced... far more advanced..."

Twilight sat down now thinking of a million though that raced through her mind, she needed the princess...

They started towards the Princess Celestia's throne room, where 2 guards stood in front of the door. One of them asked, "please state the reason you are here."

Twilight responded with a... well... yea... "reason, Reason, REASON!!!??? THE REASON IS THAT THE WORLD COULD COME UNDER A INTERSTELLAR INVASION IF YOU DON'T LET ME IN!!!" Now the guards looked at Twilight like she was a insane asylum escapee.

The other guard now spoke, "Umm ma'am yo-" he was cut of by Rainbow Dash.

"What she's trying to say is that we have a important letter that WE need to deliver."

Now the guards looked at her, both of them shrugged and the door lit in a blue and yellow aurora and swinging open.

What stood inside was Celestia taking a ... nap?... The guards in front of her obviously didn't notice her until she let out a dragon like snore, where the closest guard tapped her forcing her to wake up. She didn't realize but there stood her most FAITHFUL student and her friend staring at her impatiently.

Celestias' blushed a little as she tried to change the atmosphere of the room. "So Twilight, what brings you here?" as 3 pictures were magically set in front of her she stared at them for a moment. She looked at them with a confused face and asked them, "what is this?"

Twilight gulped as she began to speak... " Princess I think we have extraterrestrials that have approached our planet."

Celestia looked even more confused, "Who took these photos?" she asked. "Me," Rainbow said.

"Hmm ok ok, now do you know anything of these things? or have they seen you?" Celestia asked, Rainbow answered with a no.

"Hmm ok good we still do not know if these... THINGS are hostile or not so I have made a decision for YOU Twilight Sparkle to confront them. Also Rainbow Dash, I will send my Pegasi guards to escort you just in case things get out of hand and I need you to lead the way."

"M-M-ME???" Twilights face was a mixture of excitement, and fear, she got to meet aliens but on the other hoof she could be abducted...

"Yes Twilight Sparkle, I have faith in you." They now took the command to leave the room.

Back outside the Pegasi guards were already getting into a formation and waiting patiently as some carried chariots behind them.

They each carried a curved sword and a spear, Rainbow Dash got in front of the whole formation getting ready to lead a whole divison, while the guards at the front of the formation enjoyed the view...

Twilight got in one of the chariots and was knocked back by the pegasi guards because Rainbow Dash already took off.
