Chapters I: What a Peachy Awakening
I found myself in a bright green forest, the yellow rays of sunlight shined trough the leaves. Warm weather hugged me but a slight sea salty wind blew past my face. I followed the smell and breeze with a gleeful run to find a beach.
“Wow! I've never been to a beach before!” I said excitedly. With a small skip, I ran towards the water.
I stopped close to the shores’ edge quickly catching my balance, not touching the sea but close enough to feel the splashes and mist. I saw my reflection and smiled.
I turned around to see the forest behind me; it’s so beautiful and peaceful.Then I looked down to watch my toes as I dug them into the soft sand but noticed a looming shadow over me. I turned quickly to see a giant wave.
*splash*
I awoke with cold water in my face! I fell off of whatever I was laying on and jumped up. I coughed from water going up my nose and I shook off the rest of the water. And glared at whoever was in front of me.
“Was that really necessary?!?” I groaned.
As my vision cleared I realized I fell off a bush. Why was I sleeping on a bush? I turned and saw a blue coated unicorn in front of me.Wait. A blue unicorn?
“I’m afraid it was, Momo. Its me.” said the blue unicorn. He had light blue stripes in his dark blue mane and tale. More importantly that voice sounded very familiar.
“Rocket? You’re...why are you a blue unicorn?” I asked, deeply confused
“I’m not the only one that doesn't look like myself, Momo” he said as he pulled water out from a fountain, using magic I realized.
“I don’t under…what?!” I raised my hooves to my forehead.
Hooves?!
I struggled to walk with four legs; I wobbled to the fountain and looked into it, and looking back at me was a pony! I was a light orange color almost as if I was sherbet ice cream and my mane was a light pink color with a lavender stripe.
“Well at least I’m my favorite colors” I told myself with a sigh “but where’s my cutie mark?” I spun around like a dog chasing its tail only to be let down with the fact that I didn't have one. I couldn't understand why.
“I’m sorry about the water, but I needed you to wake up, also I need to wake up our last member” Rocket told me, still carrying the water with his magic. I studied him closely seeing he had a cutie mark of a scroll and quill. I instantly knew because he was a writer, which makes sense.
“Last member?” I asked, then I saw a bright red flash that looked as if it had a crazy grin, “Was that Jacob?!” I guessed by the crazy smile and hyper-ness.
"Yep," rocket reassured me as he began moving towards the bald brownish unicorn stallion, -that must be Yves- “Jacob’s kinda freaking out due to waking up in a park as a pony?"
That’s understandable. I began to look around and studied our surroundings stumbling every so often from my lack of knowledge of how to walk on all fours.
"This isn't just any park," I said, quickly realizing where we were, "We're in Canterlot." How could this be? How can we possibly be inside a cartoon? Maybe I’m still dreaming.
My train of thought was cut off after hearing my bald unicorn friend yelled from being wet. I giggled as he and Rocket bickered. Then saw that Yves too had a cutie mark, it was a melting clock. That was confusing but thought about his surreal influences on his music and other art interest. That’s a cool cutie mark! But I felt saddened seeing them with cutie marks, why not me?
Rocket being the serious type had no time for little fights.
"Now if you will excuse me I have to get us on the next train to Ponyville and fast. Then we can figure out what our next course of action is from there." He said as he began to walk towards the park exit. Yves followed him, while Jacob was continually flying around like a mad pony which didn't allow me to get a good look at him.
What could have happened? I remembered only very little of what we were doing last night, I know for sure we were still humans. Let’s see. Jacob was throwing a party, running around as usual, Yves played music with his guitar complaining about how he plays with SOUL not THEORY, whatever that meant. Rocket and I talked about his stories and other things, it was a good time. Then Jacob passed out wonderful looking cupcakes.
While In my thoughts, I let myself fall behind the others, I quickly ran after my friends as fast as possible, it was very hard from the fact i was tripping over my own legs.
“How do you know where we’re going?” my question was left ignored as I caught up to them.
I saw Rocket silently curse Jacob’s actions and saw why. We acquired a lot of attention it seemed, it made me self-conscious to see others looking at us with questioning looks. I thought maybe it’s because I’m a grown mare without a cutie mark?! I became instantly shy and saddened but continued along the way following Rocket as closely as possible.
Rocket asked for directions from a white pony with sunglasses, it seemed we were heading the right way, wherever we were going. As we walked away and thank the white pony I quickly realized who it was! But she was gone before I could say anything.
“BUCK!” I said to myself, realizing I missed my chance to properly introduce myself to Vinyl! Wait, buck?
“What was that?” Rocket and Yves asked looking at me with curiosity.
“I meant to say ‘buck’! No not buck, Buck!” I was amazed! I couldn't cuss normally here!
Yves and Rocket quickly caught on and began trying to cuss too, but it was all replaced by pony phrases. I found it rather funny. We began laughing until Rocket spoke up.
“We only have about half an hour to get to the train station, at least that’s what I was told by Vinyl.”
“You knew it was her?!” I was so glad to not be the only one excited about who we spoke to.
“Of course I did, I just didn't want to make a big scene being that we already are kind of outcasts” Rocket replied.
I agreed with a nod as we continued to walk. I realized that Jacob has disappeared but I’m sure he can take care of himself.
We reached the Train Station in no time, it was fairly empty. We got in line behind two other ponies. I looked to Rocket to see what our next move will be seeing that he has made himself the leader. He looked like he was deep in thought; I wondered why and followed his eyes to see him looking at the clock. The train will be leaving soon.

This is my first fimfiction, I’m still really nervous about posting it. I was extremely inspired by my friend Blackdrag-rose to write this after a fun talk with him about the creation of The After Party
II: Name Troubles, Just Peachy..
I watched Rocket mumble to himself while we waited in line, he looked worried. I didn’t want to bother him with any more questions so I walk away silently to get some alone time. I needed to learn how to walk!Correctly that is. I was clumsy enough on two legs; you would think that four would be like training wheels.
I found a little area to myself, and I walked back and forth continuously. I stumbled a lot and even fell on my face. I didn’t know I could use my hooves to stop my fall. I feel like a baby learning to walk for the very first time!All this frustration was making me emotional! I continued though until I was able to walk without stumbling, It took some time. Who would have known my clumsiness would follow me into this strange dream world. I hope I’m dreaming.
After a couple of minutes I noticed Rocket made it to the front of the line and was talking to the Ticketmaster. I walked up to see what our next plan was. And of course Jacob was still missing.
“We’ll need five bits per pony” Rocket informed Yves and I, as we huddled into a circle “we’ll need to find a shop and sell what we have to purchase the tickets.”
“Also I’ll need your names” the Ticketmaster interrupted our conversation from afar.
“Sell?! I don’t know a ‘Pony’ name?!” Yelled Yves as he started to walk in circles and hyperventilate.
“A name? And I only have a bracelet to sell!?” I continued the hysteria and sat on the floor almost ready to cry.
“Will you please calm your flanks for a second?!” Rocket yelled to silence us, I whimpered. "We can't be panicking because you can't come up with a name. I bet that Jacob has already come up with his name." why would he think that? I wonder what the Ticketmaster is thinking with all these ponies going crazy in front of him.
"When you put it that way your right," Jacob said, popping out of nowhere inside the ticket booth, "and I've got identification cards for all three of you." How did he get those?
The Ticketmaster took the tickets and read through them carefully as well as politely asked Jacob to get out of his booth.
"Ah yes, here we are, One earth pony mare by the name of Peachy Keen. A unicorn stallion by the name of Tick Tock, one pegasus by the name of Inner Wisdom, and another unicorn by the name of Rocket Sky. That last one doesn't seem to fit." The Ticketmaster said and looked at us curiously.
"That's easy to explain," Jacob said, speaking up before Rocket could stop him, "His parents were hoping for a pegasus and were unwilling to change his name when they found out he was a unicorn."
The Ticketmaster agreed surprisingly, returned our cards then counted us all with his hoof. He mentioned something about it being twenty bits or so for all of us to get tickets, but was quickly silenced by a ruby Jacob happened to have. What the buck? A ruby?
It seems we got our tickets and were able to get some left over money. We still had a couple of minutes till the train took off though so I took it upon myself for some thinking. I sat on a bench and looked up to the sky. It was a great clear day. The sound of a guitar was filling the air and I realize that Yves seemed to have found a guitar. He played so beautifully and it helped me as I escaped to my mind.
"We have tickets to Ponyville," Rocket announced, grabbing my attention "and our official pony names. Jacob here is Inner Wisdom; Yves is Tick Tock, and Momo, your Peachy Keen." Peachy? What the flank? Is this some lame joke to go with the fact that Momo means Peach? Cleaver Jacob, very cleaver.
Yves Complained about his name, Of course wanting something more artistic. But Jacob, ‘Wisdom’ just told him to deal with it. I giggled a little as they fought, Then turned my attention to Rocket.
"What about you?” I said, looking over to him, "What sort of name did ‘Wisdom’ give you?"
"I am Rocket Sky," he answered, "the unicorn, whose parents were hoping for a pegasus and were unwilling to change the name when they found out."
“Ha-ha! That’s so cute!” I giggled “I bet your was the easiest to make up, all he added was a last name.”
"Our names fit us as most pony names fit their bearers," Wisdom stated, chuckling softly to himself as a train rolled into the station, "exactly like I thought they would, I prepared for this day ever since FIM appeared on TV."
“How is it possible to plan ahead for this?!” I said to Wisdom “that’s impossible to think you’d ever be transported into a cartoon”
Before Wisdom could retaliate he was interrupted by Rocket.
"Please don't talk about that," Rocket said, glad that the only ponies around them were near the Ticketmaster, "We seriously don't need anypony thinking that we're from another world. Let's get on this train and get away from Canterlot." He whispered.
He was right, so we all gathered onto the bus as quickly as possible. I was on first so I got to pick the seats! I love being in charge. I skipped to a couple of seats in the front. As we sat about five other ponies joined us. I saw Wisdom looking out the window. I peeked to see what he was looking at and saw some guards coming up.
"Oh tell me you didn't do something stupid Wisdom," I said, once I noticed them.
"Oh, all I did was visit the library and brush up on my history," He replied, "Apparently there is an order to watch out for ponies that share the abilities of Pinkie Pie." Hmm I wonder why
The doors silently closed and the train starting to roll out before the guards got close. Rocket sighed, I don’t know if in relief or in annoyance. I saw him clam down though and he stared out his side of the window. Yves, I mean ‘Tick’, continued to play on his guitar quietly to the courtesy of the other ponies. I still wonder where he got that, probably some pony left it at the station or something.
I looked out the window again and enjoyed the scenery and began to think. I wonder how we’ll live here. It all seems so real, maybe it’s not a dream. Or maybe I’ve just been wishing it WAS a dream. Am I really okay with being a pony my whole life? I couldn’t even decide on what I wanted to do with my life as a human, which is probably why I don’t have a cutie mark now. How did this all happened?!
I began to try and remember what happened before waking up in Equestria. But all I could remember were those cupcakes.
I sighed, “I guess I’ll never know.” I said out loud to myself
I continued to look out the window and allowed the sounds of Tick’s guitar playing send me to sleep.
III: A Train Full of Fun!
The train ride was taking so long! After I had my little rest I needed to walk around. My legs were starting to get numb.
I got up and saw other ponies and smiled at them, just as a friendly 'hello'. I saw other parts of the train such as a place they held the baggage and where they shoveled the coals. I also discovered a little snack area and got myself a few cookies, and thought I’d get some for my friends as well.
I wonder what kind of cookies they like. I’m sure Wiz, -haha ‘Wiz’ that’s a cute nickname- must like anything that has sugar. Tick? Maybe something creative or different? Being that he’s kinda a foodie. And Rocket? Hmm well I know he likes candy.
I walked back with a couple of cookies. I gave Wiz some that were called: double chocolate fudge ripple chip. He took it with glee. I gave Tick: Red velvet cheese cake cookies. He looked at them, sniffed them then took a bite, and nodded at me with approval. I gave Rocket some cookies that had gummy candies in them. He smiled at me and took a bite, he seemed to enjoy them. I had just simple peanut butter cookies.
“Thanks” They all said in unison. I'm glad they were happy with my choices
"How long was i gone?" I turn my head to Rocket
"Not very long, maybe 15 minutes or so." he told me with a smile
I didn’t waste as much time with that walk as i thought. We were still a long way from reaching Ponyville. Time for another adventure! I jumped up after finishing my cookie and began to walk around once again. This time I found a straw. I went back to the snack area to grab a few napkins. Now the fun will begin. I snuck up to our seats to find Tick and Rocket relaxing. Tick tuning his guitar and Rocket staring out the window.
I bit a tiny piece of paper off the napkin and turned it into a spit ball and aimed the straw. I didn't realise how hard this would be without using fingers. BUt i was able to teach myself how to hold the starw striaght.
I took careful aim at Tick’s head.
“And what are you doing?” Wiz asked from above me, hanging upside-down
I jumped back, my heart was racing.
“I’m just having a little fun!” I whispered loudly pulling him with me so that neither Rocket nor Tick saw us.
“Well maybe I want to have some fun too?” He said as he turned right-side up
“Really?” I looked at him with annoyance
“Yes!” he said with the most gleeful smile ever. How can I say ‘no’ to that?
"Okay! Okay!" I said as i dragged him with me
I managed to find another straw but we would have to share the paper. First though, I had to teach him how to spit a proper wad.
“No that’s too big of a piece! Don’t eat the paper just chew it! No, you spit the wad with the straw, not load it into the straw first. Aim!”
After a little lesson and some training, we were ready. We continued where I left off, and started taking aim, me at Tick and Wiz at Rocket.
3…2…1…SPIT!
“What the?” Rocket wiped the wad off his face in disgust.
Tick wiped his off too and glared at our direction.
“PEACHY?!?! You’re the only one that spits wads at me! I know it’s you!” Tick placed his guitar down gently and got up in a furry.
“RUN!” Wiz yelled
And we took off! I stumbled a little while Wisdom flew beside me, both of us laughing.
Ponies were looking at us with curiosity as well as annoyance, but we kept running. We couldn't stop anyways because Tick was right behind us. We ran almost to the end of the train but hit a dead end.
“Ha-ha! We’re in so much trouble!” I was both scared and out of breath from laughing and running at the same time.
“What do you mean ‘we’?” Wiz said, somehow from outside a window.
“You traitor!” I yelled stomping my hooves as he saluted me and took off
Then all I heard was breathing behind me. I turned to find Tick standing over me with a red face from either running or being mad, maybe both.
“Hehe, just kidding?” I said with the biggest cheesiest grin I could make
Tick took a deep breath and…
“I can’t be mad at you” he said with a sigh and hugged me.
“Yay! You hugged me I’m off the hook!” I took off quickly behind him only to run directly into Rocket
We tumbled together until we hit a chair.
“OWWW!” I rubbed my head with my hooves and rocket did the same.
“I was hoping you guys wouldn’t be making such a scene being that we’re outcast! But I guess I’m making a scene too now” He said with a sigh as he saw ponies looking at us.
“I’m sorry, I just wanted to have a little fun” I said as I helped him up
“It’s okay, that’s fully understandable. Let’s just get back to our seats” he smiled at me, Tick joined us and we walked back to our seats.
I sat down ready for another well-deserved rest. I smiled thinking of Tick’s face when I shot him. I looked out the window to see Wiz flying beside the train; only he made the speed of the train look slow since he was flying on his back with his arms behind his head, as if he was resting. I knocked on the window to see him open one of his eyes and wink at me as he flew away.
What a pain! But I guess I’m no better. I giggled
Rocket stood up quickly to look outside the window with me. We were coming close to a town.

IV: A Grand and Peachy Welcome
Being so close to the upcoming town still took some time so I decided to ask Tick to play Hoof Cake (Our version of Patty cake). It was kind of confusing till we got a nice pattern going. After a few minutes I decided to step it up a notch! I clapped our hoofs in a faster pattern. I could see in Ticks eyes that he couldn’t keep up, he finally slipped and I took it to my advantage and decided to declare myself the Hoof cake champion!
Finally the train came to a stop; I heard a sigh come from Rocket as he turned to Wiz.
“Let’s try to blend in with the other ponies getting off.” Wiz looked at him with a smirked and decided to reply sarcastically
“Oh, yea, we are going to BLEND in with the other ponies. Especially since one of us has no cutie mark, another is too dramatic, and we are the only two that are actually able to control ourselves.”
I instantly disagreed with him in my mind. Wiz talking about the show and playing around is not controlling himself, and I’m behaving! Just because I don’t have my cutie mark doesn’t make me anymore obvious to other ponies that we as a group don’t belong!
I became frustrated but followed the others as they began to walk off the train as Wiz and Rocket kept talking about what’s going to happen.
Somehow I ended up in front of our group and was the first to step off the train, I tried not tripping with the crowd of ponies and found a place to stand out of the way of the other ponies as I waited for my friends and then saw them. The main six! Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow dash, all looking at me! Wow! I can’t believe it! Are they here for us? I was so amazed to see them and squealed a little but then I looked at myself, and I was instantly embarrassed since they seem to be looking at me in a curious way. It’s because I have no cutie mark!!
I tried to create a smile as best I could to show I see them as well. They turned to see Tick get off the train and I breathed deeply being glad they weren’t looking at me anymore. I waved to Tick so he could see where I was standing.
They continued to look as my friends walked off the bus with curiosity, it seemed like Rainbow was extremely excited for some reason.
Finally Jacob walked off and Rainbow flew up to him in a rush asking if he was Rocket. He told he wasn’t as Rocket walked out of the train. Rainbow took one look at him and flew off looking disappointed. I wonder why.
Applejack walked up to Wisdom introduced herself only to be cut off by Wiz telling her about herself. He then continued to talk about the rest of the ponies as they looked at him in shock and I could see Rockets face starting to become more annoyed.
“Let’s go to the library and see what else they might know” Twilight said as she led the way.
I took this time to get in as much sightseeing as I could. I’ve never seen this place other than on TV and I wanted to enjoy it! I followed the others, Tick putting his guitar on his back and I could see Rocket deep in thought.
I had to hold in my squeals as we walked though from seeing so many ponies I knew from the show.
I saw Big McIntosh walking by and he nodded with a smile as if to welcome us! Then I saw Cheerilee she smiled brightly as we walked by, I was so excited! But then I also saw other ponies looking at us in curiosity and I noticed the rest of the group was really quiet as they walked.
We finally got to the library and walked in and were welcomed by Spike, well in his own way. He seemed surprised to see us all.
"I wasn't expecting you to bring them home Twilight," Spike said, stretching slightly, "What changed that?"
"Mister Inner Wisdom here knows more than he should," Rarity said, taking a seat near Spike. “All without us even introducing ourselves."
"Isn't that common already?" Spike asked, "You guys defeated three major villains and helped defend Canterlot during an invasion. Not to mention that Twilight is a Princess now."
"Quiet Spike," Twilight said, letting us remain standing while her friends took a seat, "I need to ask the four of you some questions before you are allowed to leave. Where are the four of you from?"
I had no idea what I would say in this situation. We all looked at each other wonder what we were going to say and will it make sense?
"Trottingham," Rocket said, we nodded as soon as he said that. He would know all the answers!
"How did you come to awaken in Canterlot?" Twilight asked as she walked back and forth
"We had a party a few days ago," Rocket answered, "I don't know what we took, but when we woke we were in Canterlot with no idea how we got there."
"Do any of you pose a threat to the security of Canterlot, Ponyville, or the rest of Equestria?"
"I can only answer for myself on this one," Rocket said, sweat rolling down the side of his head, "but I pose no threat to anypony."
“Me either” I said as I stood next to Rocket
“I pose no threat whatsoever” Yves followed
“Nor me” Wisdom said with a gentle smile
"Last group question," Twilight said, looking each of them in the eye, "How is it that you know so much about us without having met us even once?"
"Well that's easy," Wisdom started, "We...humph..."
oh no!
Twilight was surprised to see that Rocket used his magic to literally zipped Wiz’s mouth shut
"What he means is that we read the newspapers quite frequently," Rocket said "and so we read about you, the Elements of Harmony, and all the stuff you've done."
Safe!
Twilight was silent, watching us stand while she mauled over the answers she had been given thus far. I hope she didn’t think its suspicious that rocket answered most of the questions. I hope we can stay here in Ponyville
“Time for individual questions," she said, as Wisdom's mouth returning to normal. "Miss Peachy Keen, the first is for you. Seeing how you don't have a cutie mark I will ask this; would you like to join a club called the Cutie Mark Crusaders?"
That would be so wonderful! I can discover my special talent! I hope they accept me in there club! I realized I was silent this whole time and smiled shyly
"Really?" I silently asked, surprised my voice still worked and I received a nod from her, "well then, I would love to join them and find my place alongside them."
"Good," Twilight said, a stack of papers appearing before her and a quill that she used to write something down, She continued to ask the rest of us questions such as Tick having musical talent and of course he was quick to answer ‘yes!’ He was told to stay with Vinyl Scratch and Octavia. the lucky colt! It’s not fair I want to meet them!!
“Well now, how would you like to meet the crusaders?” Applejack said as she walked up to me
“That would be great, are sure they’re okay with this?”
“Yeah, they’re always looking for members, no need to worry” I followed her out of the library and began to walk to the crusaders tree house almost skiping along the way with a huge smile.
