Living with Lyra

Chapter 7: Chakra

I woke up on my back and slowly opening my eyes but I was surrounded by shelves of books. I tried moving my body to the right. “Where am,” I stopped with a grunt with a not very painful but sudden shock of pain coming from my stomach and then I went straight back onto my back .

“Oh, Draga you’re awake,” said a surprised voice of a mare coming from my left. It was Lyra and all of a sudden she launched herself at me, consequently landing on me.

There was a small bit of pain but nothing to react anything to. “Um where am I?” I asked.

“You’re at one of my friends place, Twilight Sparkle is her name,” Lyra answered.

My eyes shot wide open. “Wait, Twilight Sparkle, you mean Princess Twilight Sparkle?” I was quick to ask.

“If you want to call me that,” Said a mare who just entered in the room.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was in the home of Princess Twilight Sparkle. She teleported to the foot of the bed I was in.

“Please just call me Twilight,” Twilight changed her facial expression to a cheeky face and giggled. “and you two have already said good morning to each other or you two need to get a room.”

“What?” I said in confusion since Lyra wasn’t my marefriend.

Since Lyra was still laying on me I felt her muscles tighten up. “There is no need to joke around Twilight,” Lyra said.

With the question still in my mind I asked. “Um, Twilight  may I ask why I am here?”

Twilight focused on me and took a breath. “Sure, Lyra brought you here  told me what happened and the part that interested me the most was when you hit one of the stallions and she said,” Twilight took another breath.  ‘A type of blue flame bursted when Draga hit him,” said Twilight quoting Lyra also poorly imitating her voice.

My face went into complete shock, I know exactly what they are talking about.

“You’re a pegasus, the only type of magic you should have is to be able to be on clouds and from your face you know what I’m talking about,” Twilight said.

I looked down. “Yes, yes I do…. Lyra can you please get off me?”

Lyra seemed a bit confused from what was happening. “Um, sure,” Lyra said as she gets off the bed.

I got the bed sheet off me and pointed to my cutie mark. “Cutie marks shows the reason for being alive but mine shows an ability.” I looked at both Lyra and Twilight. “I don’t expect you two to know but do you two know about an energy called ‘Chakra’?” I asked.

Lyra and Twilight looked at each other  then Twilight look at me and said. “No, let me get something to write with.”

After Twilight got a pencil and paper to write with the girls were staring at me ready to take the information I was going to give them. “Well from very old books I have read, the energy I call ‘chakra’ is an energy I have but when I say I have it I mean I have the ability to use to use my large amount chakra, we all have very small amounts of chakra, this is where my cutie mark comes in, my ability is to use my chakra to do things like increase my strength, speed and a type of magic,” I explained.

Twilight is writing quite fast on a piece of paper. “Okay, Draga, you have told me that Chakra is an energy and that you can use it but what is Chakra?” Twilight asked looking at me like she is looking into my soul.

“Well you can think of chakra as like a energy of life, with no chakra you die, but really I am the only one that I know runs that risk. If I was to use a lot of chakra I would be exhausted and need to sleep or do something that gives me energy to get chakra back. Chakra can also be made from focusing spiritual energy and physical energy but that would make me exhausted. Spiritual energy you can train by meditating or practicing focusing chakra and physical energy you train by just training you body, like running.” I explained.

Twilight is still writing down quite fast and Lyra I think is just able to understand what I’m saying, I don’t blame her I took me quite some time to under all of this.

Twilight stopped writing and then said. “One last thing, Draga, can you use chakra to make things levitate like unicorns?”

“Not as far as I know of,” I replied.

Twilight put the paper on a desk using her magic. “Well that is I need to know for now.” Twilight looks at Lyra. “Just asking Lyra, were you able to understand everything?”

“Um, yes,” said Lyra a bit hesitantly, I do wonder if she actually understands.

Twilight put her hoof to her chin and was in deep thought and after a bit of time she said to me. “Out of all the books I have read talking about energy, I don’t remember ever coming across what you are talking about.”

“You have a chance of finding something from book about the life before harmony in our world, chakra was used by groups or clans of ponies who lived off fighting by taking missions for money, until harmony left them with no work and next to nopony needed to use chakra then they went to living normal lives,” I said quite calmly .

Twilight nodded at me, started walking out and said. “I will take a look at some books and you two can go out and enjoy today if you want”.

Lyra walked close to me and asked. “So what missions do you think the pony groups did?”

“I guess guard duty to assassinations, this was chaotic times,” I answered.

I slowly was turning my body to get out of the bed I was in and asked Lyra a bit concerned voice. “Does, Bon Bon know about you and I being here?”

“I sent a pony out to tell her, you wouldn’t know her,” she answered but was quick to add “And sorry I didn’t ask this sooner but are you in any pain and do you remember what happened last night?”

I was out of bed and on my hoofs. “Don’t worry I’m not in any relevant amounts of pain and I do remember what happened, that stallion that called himself  ‘Reipu’. It was obvious what was going to happen if everything went his way,” I said with my anger clearly showing with the tone of my voice and facial expression.

Lyra moved her legs closer to her body and said. “He has been captured by the police and he said that ‘Reipu’ means in an ancient language,” It was clear that she was scared as she took a deep breath. “Rape,” Her head went down.

It was the same thing that I was thinking was going to happen if Reipu got his way. I wanted help and at least try comfort her, finding out that you were almost raped wouldn’t of been the best feeling. I walked over to her and said “Don’t worry I’ll make sure nopony will hurt you.”

Lyra was still looking at the ground when she said. “Thanks Drag.”

Before I could've think of something to say she kissed me. I lost the battle, my wings shot up and my face went deep red.

After she came off me I was still in shock and she very worriedly said. “Sorry if you don’t like me but ……. your wings.”

I put my hoof under her chin and both of us were looking deep into each others eyes. “What I feel is the opposite of not liking you,” I said.

“WHAT!” yelled somepony.

Both Lyra and I look at the room entrance of the room.
