Chapters The Wishing Teleportation Spell Book
A Friend of the Moon
All is well in the kingdom of Equestria, as the moon and stars shine lightly in the blanket of night cover, everypony is sleeping in contempt, having happy and peaceful dreams, creatures of types and sizes sleeping in their sleeping grounds, all is at rest. . . except for the Princess of the Night, Luna.
As Luna looks over Equestria in her tower, she wonders, how much of the kingdom she sees before her during her time of banishment as Nightmare Moon. She takes one final look at the land before and releases a sigh that you only let out when you feel you done something wrong, she walks back in from the patio and into her room that she had asked her elder sister to custom to her liking, dark blue carpet covering the room, a bed with covers that was also dark blue with small patterns of the gray moons and white sparkling stars all over the blanket.
The furniture was also appealing for her, as she asked for a dark wood table that had 4 dark blue cushions for any guest that comes in ‘As if anypony would come in here to visit me…’ as Luna thought to herself sadly. Luna walked to her night stand and opened the drawer and pulled out one of her favorite books ‘Star Swirl the bearded: The Secrets Of Ponykind’ which had a cover of the Star Swirl himself looking into the night sky. Before her banishment Luna loved reading this book and absorbed it despite reading it hundreds of times.
Luna placed the book at the drawer and turned around and walked to the mirror that was built into the wall. Luna just looked at the reflection of herself, gazing upon on what lies in front of her. She sees a pony that despite works to create a night sky every night, she feels unwanted by her fellow subjects. Despite what her elder sister has told her (many times in fact) she feels unwanted, Luna raised her head and said
“I will do my best to create a world of night for my fellow ponies, even if they do not acknowledge for who creates the night sky, I will be there for them- she pauses for a moment- but all I want is a friend to know how I feel.” She says in sorrow.
Luna galloped back to the patio that she had already been at, gazed upon the land of ponies
…
…
“Maybe I should get an owl.”
“I wonder if I can find some Oran berries before daytime.” As the dark fur Moon light pokemon asked itself.
As the pokemon Umbreon lazily walked through what the pokemon seemed to deem as ‘national park’ in ‘the johto region, as lights emulated from the street lights, Umbreon is looking around, trying to find berries for its meal of the night. As Umbreon passes the section of a large section of grass, he can see most of what contains in its green cover, bug pokemon. Bug pokemon of different types and forms, varying different sizes. Umbreon feels somewhat lonely as he sees pokemon with their passing by as he hides in the darkness. Umbreon ignores his feelings though as he was able to evolve from his previous Eevee form, into a creature of the night, he is thankful to have the night to give him what he felt like a comforting blanket shrouded in stars as a cover for him to live peacefully. Umbreon decided to look elsewhere as he cannot, once again find any berries in this area, right about he was about to leave, he spots what he knew was a Oran tree. Umbreon walked up to the tree and scanned the tree if it still bears berries to be plucked.
Thankfully the berries are still attached to the tree and seem to be plumped as much as they can possibly be! Umbreon hungrily gazed at the berries and thought to himself
‘A simple Tackle attack should bring those suckers down.’
And he did just that.
What he didn’t know that there was also a hungry pokemon in the tree eating the berries, a hungry Murkrow.
“What the heck!” screeched the Dark type bird pokemon as it flew out of the tree.
“Wha?” responded back by a stunned Umbreon
“What were you doing tackling trees all of the sudden?!” yelled a slowly agitated Murkrow
“Oh, sorry about that, I was looking for some food and I noticed the berries, if you don’t mind, my stomach is calling for those berries.” As Umbreon was saying this, his gaze fell on the what seem to be sparkling Oran berries scattered all over the pavement.
“Theses are my berries! I found them, so I get to eat them!” yelled by the bird pokemon
Getting tired of his selfishness, Umbreon just decided to snatch one and bolt it.
‘I should keep him busy with a Confuse Ray and get out of here before he recovers.’
Umbreon quickly went into a battle stance and started to use the Confuse Ray, as his eyes glowed a light yellow, a ball of energy twirled itself to the Murkrow that was too busy eating some of the fallen berries.
Right when the Confuse Ray hit the Murkrow, the pokemon shrieked in surprise as it is now seeing doubles of the half eaten Oran berry.
As the Murkrow is being kept busy with being confused, Umbreon quickly snatched a berry that rolled away from the rest of the berries and ran into the bushes to snack on the rightfully earned berry.
As Umbreon snacked on the berry behind a bush, he heard some rustling in the grassy areas a few feet ahead of him. Curious, he silently stepped into the bush to see a human boy with a gold and black hat, red shirt, and black shorts walking around with a Quilava tagging along behind the boy.
‘What are they doing here?’ pondered the night pokemon.
As Umbreon asked this question to himself, he heard the boy speaks to his friend.
“Let’s train a bit more before we head to the third gym leader, okay Quilava?”
“Quilavvaa!” responded the fire pokemon
Huh, why is he having so much fun with that human? Asked Umbreon
‘is it that much fun to have friends? Never learned that since I was always by myself…’
As Umbreon said this to himself, he walked back to his Oran berry and just stared at it. His ears folded down and thought to himself.
‘. . . I wish I had a friend. . .’
-As the sun is raised in Canterlot, two sisters meet together at the main dining hall to have breakfast/dinner-
"Ah, good morning Luna, how was the Moon court last night?" Asked Lunas older sister, Celestia.
"Uneventful...as always..." muttered Luna
Celestia realized must be feeling that Luna is still feeling down about uneventful things happening during the night.
The waiter arrives to ask the two Princesses for what they wish to have for their meal for the day.
"I wish to have haycakes, small salad, small bowl of yogurt, and a small glass of orange juice please." answered Celestia
"Hmmm... we wish to have a meal of stir-fried vegetable noodle which consists of having mushrooms, diced carrots, broccoli, green and red peppers, and the brand of Moon-beam noodles please."
The waiter then bowed and responded "I shall be back with your meals Princesses." and trotted off to fill the order.
Wanting to make sure theres no awkward silence, Celestia quickly said "Is the Moon-beam noodles any good Luna?"
Luna perked up from her sisters question, as she always wanted to share the noodles with her sister but never got the chance to tell her, as she is always busy with one thing or another and had to cancel meals together.
"Oh yes! They are really flavored from soaking in from being cooked. The flavors from the vegetables give it a more of buck to them when you first bite into it."
Celestia pondered with what Luna said, as she haven't had anything that is stir-fried since 40 years ago, learning that she was a little overweight.
"Well, once I finish my diet after the next meal, I must try it Luna."
"Sister, are you still going on with what I said 'Chunky-Celly'?"
"I am not chunky! Just a little overweight ..."
As their food have arrived, the sisters continued talking and enjoyed their meals. Celestia needed to deal with poltical issue of Manehattan, with their current problem with parasprites.
As Luna trotted back to her room she heard two mare-maids gossiping to each other.
"Did you hear that Swift Spell was able to get a stallion from a teleportation spell?"
"How did that happen?"
"Well, from what she said, she said 'While wishing for a stallion like myself, I activated the spell and there he was! At first he was upset but after that we got together!'
"I wish I was a unicorn!" pouted the cream fur mare.
"I know how you feel. Plus she found it at Canterlot Archives no less!"
As Luna trotted pass the two mare-maids, the mare-maids went straight back to work, fearing that might get fired for slacking in front of a noble.
'Hmmm...Maybe I should head to the Archives and find a pony that has the same feelings for the night as I do.
And at that thought Luna teleported leaving but a smile for happiness.
Canterlot Archives
The Canterlot Archives is one of the oldest places to obtain any type of literature to read or to study. The oldest one before was the at The Celestial Sisters Castle of Equestria, which has now been claimed by the foe of time.
There are only a few ponies that would sacrifice their lives to protect the books and scrolls, knowing that its not just that but a piece of history that wish to keep for the future generation to start. One of those few ponies is Elder Flaming Quill, who has a cutie-mark of a quill writing so fast, the quill is writing flames. Most ponies only known him as Elder, since he has been protecting the Archives for 70 years. Only the Princesses know of his true name.
As Luna teleported in, Quill placed his book that he was reading and trotted towards the entrance of the Archives.
"Ah, Princess Luna, how nice to see you here again. Would you like this weeks newest copy of 'Daring Do'?"
"Not today Flaming Quill. I am in need of a list of all books that were checked out about teleportation from this past month."
"Oh? Doing a study about teleportation I see? Of course Princess Luna, I will be right back." Quill then bowed and trotted to acquire the needed list.
Moments later Flaming Quill trotted back with the list in his satchel for Princess Luna. He opened the satchel and hoofed the list to Luna. Luna then enveloped the list with her dark blue magic and placed it into her own satchel.
"Thank you Flaming Quill, I shall request for your services if they would be needed."
"Of course Princess." He then bowed and trotted back to his unfinished book.
Luna then teleported back to her tower and trotted back to her room. As turned the corner to her room, she greeted her Lunar guards and went to her room. Luna placed her satchel on her desk, opened the cover, and pulled out the list out and opened the list.

Throwing Caution Into The Wind (Revised)
A Friend of the Moon
Chapter 2
Throwing Caution Into The Wind
“Umbreon!” the dark coated Pokémon shouted. While resting during the early morning,
Umbreon was awakened by a trainer that wanted to capture him. He hesitantly got up to fight him.
“Sweet! A shiny Umbreon, you are so going into my collection!” exclaimed a thick glasses
trainer. “Go Magneton!” the trainer threw out a pokéball into the air, a red flash of light
flew out of the pokéball and a Magneton floated out of the light. Its trio of eyes were locked in a scowl.
“Bzzzzt!”
“Magneton, use Thunder Wave! Then follow it up with Tackle!”
‘Sheesh, theses humans with yelling their attacks out. It’s like they think we can’t understand them. No matter, it helps me in the end.’
As the trainer ordered, the Magneton began to light up to send a Thunder wave onto Umbreon. Umbreon was too fast. He jumped to the side and his eyes began glowing yellow. He was using Confuse Ray. The trainer couldn’t react fast enough to order the Magneton to move. Magneton eyes were going in circles now.
‘Good, now I need to follow up with Double Team while it’s busy.’
As the trainer was trying to help his Pokémon get out of its confusion using a strange contraption, Umbreon was busy boosting up his evasion higher and higher, making it even harder to hit him than with his current speed. After images of Umbreon started appear around him, making it hard to distinguish which was the real one.
‘Hmph, humans always depend on their technology. No matter, I shall confuse Magneton
once again and then go for a Screech, then follow it up with a Quick Attack. That should do it.’
While the trainer was ordering Magneton to use Lightning Bolt at one of Umbreon’s after images, all of the other Umbreons’ eyes started to glow again for another Confuse Ray. The trainer and Magneton were surrounded in a circle of Confuse Rays spinning close to them. Once again, the pokémon was affected by Confuse Ray. The after images then disappeared into the nothingness as only the true Umbreon was left in his fighting stance.
“UMBREEOONNN” Umbreon used his Screech attack, which raised his voice tenfold and damaged the opponent’s ears. How it had any effect on a Magneton, a creature that lacked apparent ears of any kind, he never knew.
Umbreon saw the trainer covering his ears, his face showing pain from the Screech attack. Magneton was unsteadily floating in place, his eyes still swirling all over the place, oblivious to his impending doom.
‘Hmph, I’m going to end this for everyone’s sakes.’
Celestia and Luna had once again, met at the dining hall table to have their dinner and breakfast, respectively. Luna was, however, in a much better mood than the previous meal with her sister.
“Good morning, Luna, you seem to be in high spirits today,” a loving alicorn sister said.
“Why, yes sister, I am in a good mood today,” the cheerful dark blue alicorn said.
“Would you feel inclined to tell me? I would very much like to know what it is,” Celestia asked.
“It’s a surprise, sister, but I will let you have a bit of a peek. I will soon meet somepony that shares interests with me. A new friend, if you will.”
“Oh. And who might this pony be?” Celestia knew her sister had been known to stay in the castle most of her spare time, so she was curious as to where she could’ve met such a pony.
“I will let you know in the future, sister, as for now… Only I will know of the secrets that I will hold.”
“You were always the one for mystery novels Luna,” her older sister chuckled.
“ Ha, ha, ha. Says the one that has romance stories with her cakes,” Luna said bluntly.
The guards that were standing right next to the door of the dining hall were having a hard time stifling their giggles, often failing. The sound of snickering could be heard echoing the almost-empty hall.
“I-I DON’T DO SUCH A THING,” Celestia had stood up from her cushion with a light blush on her face.
“Yes, you do.” Her younger sister was bearing a knowing grin. The guards could barely contain themselves. Years of discipline being crumbled upon their very eyes by the antics of their princess.
“I-err…I must get to my meetings for the day!” Celestia stammered as she was rushing out the door. As soon as the door was closed, most of the guards let out a hearty laugh.
‘Oh Celly, you must put your stories away when you leave your desk, or a certain little pony will find them~. I must get that Wishing Teleportation Spell book from the Canterlot Archives now.’
Luna got up from her seat on the royal cushions and headed off to the Canterlot Archives. While she was trotting to the Archives, she began to wonder what kind of pony she would be able to summon with the book’s help.
‘Hopefully the pony will be a Pegasus so we can spend time flying around during the night. I just hope that they will not be afraid of me when I summon them from their home…’
Luna was pondering if she should really do this, as doing this spell would mean she would be teleporting a pony out of their home and most likely scaring them or making them fear her, ruining her only chance of talking to another pony about the wonder of the night.
‘No, if they truly love the night, then they would feel honored to be in my presence to discuss the world of the night.’
As she finished thinking to herself, she arrived to the Archives’ entrance and pulled the doors open with her magic. As it was like when she was there the day before, Flaming Quill was there, ordering some books. He turned his head around as he heard the doors being opened.
“Ah, welcome back, Princess Luna. Were you successfully able to find the book you were looking for from the list that I gave you?” asked the librarian.
“Yes, Flaming Quill. I am in need of the ‘Wishing Teleportation Spell Book’. I believe that it should still be here?”
Flaming Quill knew in a instance of which book the Princess of the Night was referring to.
“My Princess… do you know what will happen if you were to use that book recklessly?” he asked, suddenly putting up a serious face, in contrast to his usually cheery behavior.
Luna was surprised that his face changed so quickly like that. “I was told that the spell book contained the spell required to summon anypony with the same feelings for a certain subject to the user, correct?”
“Correct, except for a certain part that nopony seems to understand. It will summon anything to the user, if they both share the same feelings about the subject.”
“Anything? What are you speaking of, librarian.”
Flaming Quill went off to retrieve the book. Luckily, the book had been checked in already and was still at the sorting table. Flaming Quill levitated the book with his magic, and trotted back to the Princess.
“What the ponies that check this book never seem to understand, is that this book was an unreleased version by Starswirl the Bearded. Ponies never read the first chapter of the book, where it clearly states that if done incorrectly, the spell will summon a being from anywhere on this world, or even from a different world!”
Luna was very surprised now. She had never heard of such a powerful spell before her banishment.
“Will I be able to summon a pony if I were to do this spell correctly?” the interested
Princess asked.
“That’s the thing! The spell has random effects that might summon the pony that you
wish upon, or it could summon an unknown creature with the same effect of the wish.”
“So there’s a fifty/fifty percent chance of it to work correctly?”
“Pretty much,” the librarian deadpanned.
“Then, I will try this spell book out. If it summons a troublesome creature, I will defeat it and use a spell to send it back where to where it rightfully belongs.”
“Very well, here you go, my Princess.” Flaming Quill placed a stamp onto the card with the date it was retrieved and hoofed the book to the Princess.
“Thank you, Flaming Quill, your warnings have not fallen on deaf ears, I will be sure to take the necessary precautions.”
Luna placed the book in her satchel and trotted off in an even better mood than before, as she now had a way to summon a pony that would, hopefully, befriend her. She closed the doors behind her once again and left the old pony to his work.
“I sure hope you do,” muttered the old Librarian as he went back to his work.
Luna teleported to her bedroom after leaving the Canterlot Archives, as she wanted to start the spell as soon as possible. Luna locked the door to her room and used a silencing spell around her room so there wouldn’t be any needless interruptions.
Luna quickly put the spell book in a pedestal and opened it. She looked for the table of contents to look for the spell. She slowly scanned the chapters that composed the book, looking for the necessary chapter. She stopped on a chapter called “The start of the Wish”. Luna used her magic to skip through the pages to find the instructions.
To start the necessary spell; begin by enveloping your horn with magic. Then, while focusing on the magic of your horn, wish clearly and deeply for what you wish for. Be careful to bear a clean, calm mind before attempting to perform the spell, if you do not, it will backlash and hurt the user.
Luna reread the passage to make sure she knew exactly what she needed to do in order to activate the spell. Luna started to charge her horn, and it glowed in a dark blue aura. She closed her eyes and concentrated on her wish.
‘I want a friend that would be there for me when I need them. I want a friend that has the same feelings for the night sky... I want a friend that won’t run away from me from fear...’
A bright flash that originated from Luna’s horn covered the room with bright light.
“You-you defeated all six of my pokemon! I will be back to capture you, Shiny Umbreon!” the thick glasses trainer said as he ran away. Umbreon stayed in his battle position until the
trainer was out of his sight.
‘…That was a bit harder than I thought. At least I was able to defeat him. Though, he
knows where my den is now. Now I have to find an empty cave again… that’ll be bothersome’
Umbreon started to go back into his den to rest after the troublesome battle. But he felt like he was being tugged.
‘Hmm?’ Umbreon turned his head to see a black empty hole that started suck the very light around it.
‘What is that!? Doesn’t matter, I have to get out of here quick!’
He was running at full speed to get away, all in a futile effort. He was slowly being pulled into the black hole. Umbreon looked around to see other pokémon staring at him and the hole in awe, but strangely, no other pokémon seemed to be affected by the hole other than him.
‘Ugh! Let’s see if it can still hold me if I use my Quick Attack!’
Umbreon activated his Quick Attack, trying desperately to dash away, but sadly, it was ineffective, and he was still being pulled into the black hole. There was a last thought in Umbreon’s mind before he was pulled into the darkness of the hole.
‘I-if I didn’t battle that trainer, I would have energy to get away…’
"Hmmm....?" Celestia looked up from the scrolls she has been working on at her study-room. The desk she was working on was crowded with bottles of ink and parchment paper, and a small slice of vanilla cream cake laid on a plate next to the scroll she had been writing on.
'What was that? That felt like Lulu's magic. What is she doing to cause that much of her magic to be released like this?' Celestia was not sure if she should stop her work and head to her sister’s room to find out what had happened.
'Ah well, I guess I can take a break and see what shes doing up so late right now.' She levitated her quill back down and got up from sitting down for so long.
Celestia stretched her whole body. Sore from a long time of not moving. "Oh... That feels nice. Okay, let's check on Luna now." Celestia headed out of the doors and let her guards know that she was taking a small break to see her sister. After the guards nodded, she teleported right outside her sister’s room.
She instantly felt the power of the spell as soon as she reappeared from the teleportation out the door to Luna’s room. She quickly activated a counter-spell to get rid of the spell that her sister had placed on her door and-
"OHNOOHNOOHNOOHNO!" Luna’s frantic cries could be instantly heard as soon as the silence spell was removed.
Celestia looked at the guards that were posted at the door. "Send word for the Captain. Get him here, now. " The guards nodded and rushed off to find their captain.
Celestia wasted no time as she busted through the door. What she saw was not what she expected. Her sister was running around like a madmare, but what she saw on the ground caught her attention more so.
There, on her sister’s bedroom floor, laid a black coated creature with what seemed to have bright blue crescent moons placed all over its body. The creature was apparently unconscious, and was covered in wounds, as if it had been hurt recently.
Luna caught sight of Celestia as she was running around her room with her hooves full of towels. She had her eyes brimming with tears. She seemed to be extremely worried for the well-being of the creature.
"Luna...What is this creature?"

A New Strange Creature Among Us
Amazing work of proof reading goes to Chromium! (yay!)
-Ten minutes before Celestia arrived-
Luna
As the white flash slowly faded away, I frantically searched around my room for the fruits of my efforts, but instead found a creature at the hoof board of my bed. The creature has a coat that reminds me of the night sky that I paint with stars, and the there are also bright blue symbols on the creature that reminds me of the crescent moon that I bring up a few times over every month or so. As I examine the creature closer I- wait… is that blood?
“...OHNOOHNOOHNOOHNO!” I rushed to the bathroom and scanned the room for any towels. I found some and grabbed as many that I could carry and rushed out of the bathroom.
I saw my sister at where the door used to be and looked at the creature at the floor. I slowly started to cry as I am afraid that the creature in front of us might die because of me…
My ears suddenly moved up as I heard Celestia say,
“Luna… What is this creature?”
First PoV
Celestia was waiting on her sister to explain to her about what is lying in her bedroom, slowly bleeding.
Right when Luna was going to explain, the Captain rushed in the room with a platoon of unicorn guards in gold plated armor.
“Your majesty, the guards you sent has informed me that you need me, what are your orders?”
Celestia kept her concentration on the creature then turned to Captain Shining Armor,
“I want you to send word to the infirmary that there is an unknown creature here and that it needs to be healed. Tell them to use basic care as we do not know how magic will affect the creature. I also want four guards sent to the room that the doctor will station the creature will be, two out at the door and two in the room.”
Captain Shining Armor saluted and went off with his platoon to acquire the doctor.
Celestia was once again left with her sister. Luna was still quiet since Celestia asked her of the existence of the creature before them. Celestia slowly trotted next to her sister and wrapped around her younger sister with her wing.
After several moments, Luna said,
“Sister… Do you think it was my fault that this has happened to the creature? Have I created another reason for ponies and creatures alike to be afraid of me? Should I stop bothering others and just stay in my room for the rest of existence? I just do not know Celestia.”
“Luna, do you know what teleportation spells do?”
Luna was slightly surprised that her sister would ask a question after what she had just said.
“Celly! Everypony knows that a teleportation spell is about sending a pony from place A to place B, but how does that have any relation of what happened to the creature?”
Celestia faintly smiled. “Exactly as you said sister. I saw the book that you have on your desk to use the spell. The spell book says that it is a simple teleportation spell, but because you are an alicorn, it works backwards, increasing the chance of you teleporting a creature from a different world. What I am saying sister, is that you possibly have saved this creature. We do not know if it’s a friendly creature or not, but we do know that this creature was about to die, and by you using the spell book, you saved it Luna.”
Luna stayed quiet and absorbed what her elder sister had just said to her.
‘Did I really save this creature from whatever its fate was?’ Luna thought to herself.
As Luna was conflicting with herself about what she had done, Celestia trotted out of the room to see an earth pony stallion with a stethoscope cutie mark and a unicorn nurse mare with a nurse cap cutie mark. There were also guards following them with a stretcher.
“Hello your majesties, we have heard from the Guard Captain that there was an unknown creature that needed help.”
Celestia nodded, “Thank you for showing with such short notice doctor. The creature is this way.”
Celestia showed the doctor and mare where the creature was located.
The nurse levitated the creature onto the stretcher and they were off to the infirmary.
Celestia turned to Luna and asked, “Would you want to rest while I send a letter to Twilight Sparkle about this situation? I bet she and her friends would like to see you and the creature.”
Luna smiled. “I would like that sister.”
“Well, I believe that I must fix the door I knocked down first before I do anything.” Celestia said with a small smile.
Her little sister giggled at that what she said, “You do know that you owe me one for breaking my door right sister?”
Celestia mockingly gaped, “I did it in good intention! Besides I have fixed it for you so I repaid for the damage.”
“Doesn’t count sister, anypony could have done that.” Luna slowly pushed Celestia out of her room.
“Don’t you have a letter to send sister? I think your slice of cake is waiting for you at your desk Celly.”
Now this comment got Celestia surprised.
“Wha-What?! How do you know I have my slice of cake at my desk?”
Luna curled her lips in an evil snare. “You just told me Silly Celly.”
With that Luna closed her door with Celestia standing by herself. Celestia narrowed her eyes and said,
“Oh, you’re good Luna, realllly good.” With that, Celestia teleported to her study room to enjoy having a lonely vanilla cake slice…then send a letter to her student.
Miles away from Canterlot lays a small little town called Ponyville. Many types of ponies live at Ponyville let it be Earth, Pegasus, and Unicorn. At the middle of the town lies Ponyville Library tree house where, Twilight Sparkle, a unicorn and a student to Princess Celestia, lives with Spike, a dragon that was hatched from his egg by Twilight Sparkle, and who is also the assistant and friend of said unicorn.
Our friends are now having their daily walk through the market place in Ponyville to gather groceries for next couple of days. Spike is sighting off of what they need to get for the start of their shopping trip.

“Check list of needed groceries, check.
“Wow Twilight, we need a lot of things for the pantry this week,” Said the scaly reptile friend.
“Well if someone didn’t have a ‘snack’ while I was reading my books, we wouldn’t have this list, would we?” asked a peeved violet unicorn.
“I needed to have something! When you read, you need Pinkie Pie to get you out of your reading.”
A Wild Pinkie has appeared!
Pinkie Pie appeared right out of Spikes shopping basket and jumped right in front of them.
“Heyeverypony!IheardsomeponysaymynamesoIrushedheresuperduperquickly!”
“Oh hi Pinkie, how are you today?” asked Twilight.
“I’m doing super duper great! I just invented a new recipe! It’s called a Caramel Choco bite! It has a caramel smooth taste to it but when you bite into it, a chocolate cream comes oozing out! Here have some!” Pinkie Pie pulled two Caramel Choco bites out of Spike’s shopping basket and shoved them in each of their mouths.
“OkayIgottogonowBYE!” and there she went, leaving a trail of dirt clouds behind her through Ponyville.
“MMmm! Pinkie really out did herself this time!” exclaimed Spike.
“You have to hand it to Pinkie, she can be always amazing with a stove.”
“Hey Twilight should we start on the first thing on the list, or the closest store that has what we nee-BURP.” As Spike was in the middle of speaking, a letter appeared in green flames from the little dragon.
“A letter from Princess Celestia! Spike can you please read what it says to me?” asked the excited unicorn mare.
“Okay okay Twilight, don’t get your tail in a bundle…AHEM.” Spike cleared his throat before quoting the letter.
Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I wish to have you and your friends come visit my sister and I at Canterlot Castle, as a certain situation has raised itself due to certain circumstances. I will teleport everypony once you send a notification that everypony is ready. When you arrive I will tell you more about the situation at hoof.
Your mentor,
Princess Celestia
“Huh, there’s a little white cream thing at the end of the message on the scroll.” Spike realized.
“What do you think it suppose to be? I wouldn’t think the Princess would eat anything while writing a message Spike.”
“Hmmm….” Spike scooped the white cream with his claw and licked it with his snake-like tongue.
“Mmm, vanilla!”
“Spike! Pay attention to the situation at hoof! The Princess asked for the audience of our friends and myself! We will have to do the shopping another time as we must get everypony together!” Exclaimed Twilight.
“Thanks, but no thanks. I’m going to keep my scaly behind at the Library. I can complete the shopping while you get everypony together! It’ll be hitting two hydra heads with one stone.” explained Spike.
Twilight thought to herself ‘that would save me the time to get everything together, I suppose.’
“Good idea Spike! You are getting more and more mature lately. Okay, I’ll let you handle this by yourself. Just don’t let anything happen at the library while I’m gone, okay?” asked Twilight.
“No sweat Twilight. I can handle the library with Owlowiscious.”
Twilight giggled. “Okay Spike, have a good time with him!” she said while trotting to a direction that she knew, where her friend sells apples during the day.
“Well Howdy Twylight, come on over here! We have a fresh batch of apples today!” said Applejack.
“Hi Applejack, how’s the farm today?”
“The farm is doin great Twylight, thanks for askin!”
“Are you busy today Applejack?”
Applejack thought to herself, tapping her chin with her hoof.
“Hmm, I don’t believe so sugar cube, just sellin mah apples today, then Ah was going to buck some more apples, and that’s about it. Do you want to hang out today Twylight?”
“Well, the Princess sent a scroll to me to summon everypony together and go to Canterlot, and from the way she said it, its really important! She wants us be at the Library when we finish gathering the others. Could you get Rainbow Dash and tell her to get Fluttershy? I’ll go get Pinkie Pie and we can meet up at Rarity’s store.”
“Sure Twylight! I can get Big Mac to take mah place and get Rainbow. Knowing that varmint, she’s slacking off and sleeping in one of mah apple trees again!”
Twilight grinned and nodded in understanding that Rainbow Dash was known to be a bit lazy when she has nothing to do.
“I will see you soon with everypony then! Twilight said then galloped to the Sugarcube Shack.

Umbreon
’I- I have-BEEP- to get away… It’s sucking me in!-BEEP- ...I don’t want to be alone…-BEEP- What is that noise?!’ mumbled an awakened sleeping Dark Pokémon.
Umbreon slowly opened his eye lids and realized that he wasn’t in the woods anymore. He noticed that there was a weird soft object covering him. Umbreon lifted his paw to push whatever was on him, but he discovered that there was an object in it!
He followed the object to the weird thing that was creating the odd noise. Wanting to stop the noise, Umbreon used his mouth to tug the object out of his paw, causing a slight pain, but then the object started causing a louder, single beep noise, reminding him of a sound that came from an Electric Pokémon. He then went to proceed in removing the soft object that wrapped around him. It felt warm and soft, but left Umbreon uneasy.
When Umbreon pushed the object off of him, he noticed that he was covered in more foreign objects.
‘These things that are wrapping around me remind me of the Ekans that I fought a while back.’ Umbreon thought to himself.
Umbreon used his teeth to rip the bandages off and noticed his wounds from his previous battle with the Trainer.
‘Ugh, the Pokémon did a bit on me. I must use Moonlight when it gets darker.’ Umbreon was thinking, without giving a care.
Umbreon took a minute to look around in his new environment. He noticed that he was in a new place, different than where he was the night before. His eyes traveled throughout the room, noticing many foreign things around the room. Umbreon’s eyes stopped at the two creatures directly opposite where he was.
He noticed the two creatures as what seemed to be two Rapidashes covered in golden metal that he had never seen. They looked completely straight, as if they were statues.
‘They seem to be Rapidashes, but they seem much smaller and they don’t seem to have a fire mane or tail. I should ask them where I am.’ decided the Pokémon.
Umbreon leaped off the bed and slowly walked to the creatures that were standing in front of him.
”Excuse me, do you know where we are? I was in a forest, but now I’m in this odd place, can you help me?”
Unknown to Umbreon, his words fell to death ears as the pony guards can only hear him saying “Umbreon” over and over again.
Umbreon just sighed as he knew after a few minutes that his words were falling upon deaf ears. Umbreon slowly walked to the bed and curled up and let the realm of darkness engulf him.
Before he fell asleep, his last thoughts were,
‘Please let this just be a cruel joke from Darkrai.’

Chapter 4
Meeting the Strange Creature
Thank you to Chromium for proofreading and editing this chapter
The busy day in Ponyville bustled with excitement and daily life, with ponies causally trotting to their destinations for their completion of the day. Six certain ponies met at the Golden Oak Library to answer the letter from their Princess. They filed into the library to discuss why they were needed for the day, and for a certain unicorn to message the Princess that they are together.
”Spike! ” Twilight called for her assistant so she could send a letter to Princess Celestia.
“Darling , it is unmare-like (not lady like) for a mare to yell in a building.” A marshmallow unicorn said.
“Oh please Rarity, this is one of the rare moments that Twilight isn’t being a bookworm. Let her be.” The athletic Pegasus said.
“It’s called common courtesy for others around her, dear.”
“I think ya’ll are forgetting why we are here, and Rainbow Dash, come down here before I lasso you down.” Applejack said.
“Ugh, fine. Let’s talk about why Princess Celestia needs us. I wonder if we need to stop another foe again, I hope it’s a dragon like before!” Rainbow said while shadow boxing.
“Eep!” A certain yellow Pegasus let out in surprise.
“Rainbow Dash, you know how Fluttershy is about scary dragons!” Rarity said, trying to scold Rainbow.
“Oh please, she doesn’t have to worry about anything as long she has the STARE .” At the word of stare, Rainbow waved her hooves in the air.
“Umm, I don’t like to use the stare though, it’s too scary.” Fluttershy said in an almost whispering tone.
“I know why Princess Celestia needs us!” A certain pink earth pony said. Cause she needs a
part-tay!”
“Yawww-n . What do you need Twilight?” Spike said rubbing his eyes.
“I need you to write a letter to Princess Celestia and send it to her please.” Twilight said to her assistant.
“Give me a second, I need to get the quill and scroll first. . . Ah, here they are. Okay Twilight, speak away.” Spike said with quill in claw.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I am sending this letter in response that I have gathered my friends and we are ready to be teleported to the Canterlot Castle. Just to let you know, Spike wishes to stay home here at the library. He doesn’t mean any disrespect but wishes to get his chores completed, here at the Golden Oak Library/house.
From, your student,
Twilight Sparkle
Spike wrapped up the scroll, breathed in and let out a small green flame, sending the letter..
After a few moments of waiting, the girls were teleported to the Royal Throne room (which also has Luna’s throne, which was added after her return), where Celestia was standing with her guards at her side.
“Hello my little ponies, I apologize for bringing you all here at a short notice.”
“W-we don’t mind Princess! We are here for whatever you need.” Twilight said in a quick response with her friends nodding in confirmation.
“I thank you ponies. I bet you all are curious as to why I asked you all to be here.”
“I know why Princess! It’s because it’s somepony’s birthday and you want us to throw a party!” Pinkie shouted in the throne room.
Celestia chuckled and calmed Pinkie Pie down by waving her hoof. Pinkie Pie stood in place from jumping up and down.
“I wish it was that simple, but it is because an unknown creature has appeared in Equestria, and is in the castle.” Celestia told the ponies.
Twilight and her friends gasped in surprise, Pinkie Pie slurped her cup of water and spit it out in surprise.
“Where is this creature now Princess? What is this creature? What do you want us to do with it?” Twilight shot out questions faster than Celestia could answer them.
“Twilight please calm down. I know that you all are worried for the citizens here. As for why I brought you all here, it’s because I remembered that Fluttershy is able to talk to creatures in Ponyville, and if she is up to it, I want her to talk to this new creature and find out where it has appeared from.” Celestia said.
Everypony turned their heads to Fluttershy, who was hiding behind her pink mane. “M-me Princess? I-I don’t think I’m brave enough to do something like this…” Fluttershy whispered.
“If it helps, the creature is hurt for an unknown reason and is in the infirmary right now. I also have guards posted in the room so it can’t hurt you even if it wanted to.”
Fluttershy shot out from her hiding place behind her mane and said in a little louder tone,
“It’s hurt? Oh dear, I must help it.” Fluttershy’s motherly instinct kicked into overdrive as she heard the word ‘hurt’.
“Splendid. I shall show you to the way to the infirmary, I want to be there when it wakes up and make sure that you all are safe.”
The ponies nodded and trotted to the infirmary.
After a few minutes of trotting to the infirmary, the ponies arrived at the room where the creature was staying, with two unicorn guards posted at the door. One of the guards opened the door for the group with his magic, and after they were all in, he closed the door behind them.
The six ponies gasped as they saw a black cat-like creature in the bed with bandages all over it. Fluttershy rushed to the creature, as she thought it was a cat, but she then noticed bright blue marks on it, shaped like the moon. She slowly shook the creature to wake it up so that she could talk to it. As the pokemon was slowly waking up from the sudden shaking, slowly opening his eyes, the first thing it saw was Fluttershy over it.
The creature shot up from being surprised, creating a small stir with all the ponies in the room. Fluttershy slowly moved closer to the creature saying,
“Shhhh … Don’t worry, we’re not here to hurt you, we’re here to help you,” Fluttershy said in her best motherly voice. She waited till the creature opened its mouth, hoping to hear the creature being happy with them as it said,
“Umbreeeeoooonnn ”
Fluttershy mouth was hanging from the sudden loss of words. She, for the first time, could not understand what an animal was saying to her.
Celestia noticed the expression on Fluttershy and wanted to know what was wrong.
“Fluttershy, what’s wrong? What did the creature say?”
Fluttershy slowly turned her head in shame and said meekly
“I-I um…Couldn’t understand what it said…”
Twilight and the others were shocked of what Fluttershy had said. From all of the animals she’d treated, they wouldn’t think there was an animal that was unable to talk with Fluttershy.
Rarity was the first one to shake out of her shock.
“That is just impossible darling. You can speak with all of the animals from your house just fine, what is different with this animal?”
“W-well… I thought it was a cat, because it has the same characteristics as one, but... It’s not a cat.”
“What?! How is it not a cat? It looks completely like a cat, just with blue things.” Rainbow argued.
“Well, Rainbow Dash, many animals can come from a certain line of animals which, over time, will gain other things that will make them slowly change from the normal animal. This creature you see here does have features that seem like a cat, but is not a cat.” Pinkie Pie said with a white beard.
“Th-that’s fairly accurate Pinkie, how did you know that?!” Twilight said in astonishment.
“The green flying pigs told me silly!” Pinkie Pie said.
Twilight just ignored her friend’s response and continued with Rainbow Dash,
“As…Pinkie Pie has said, there are some similarities, but we are getting off topic, the matter at hoof is that we can’t understand this creature here, but… I wonder if it can understand us.”
Twilight turned to Princess Celestia to ask her a question.
“Princess, with your permission, we understand that we cannot understand the creature, but what if the creature can understand us? I think it would be better if I do this by myself so it won’t be afraid by everypony looking at it, like right now.” Twilight said looking at the creature in front of her.
“That might be possible Twilight, and I will let you try this. But if it attacks you, I will do whatever I must to defend my ponies. We shall be outside if you need us.”
Celestia told her ponies what was happening, and they understood and trotted out of the room, leaving the creature, Twilight, and the two guards stationed in the room.
Twilight trotted next to the bed that the creature was laying down upon.
She cleared her throat and said,
“Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. Can you understand me?”
The creature stared at her for a few minutes until it nodded. Twilight felt accomplished, but she knew she was not done.
“Do you know where you are?”
The creature shook its head to answer as ‘No.’ .
‘Okay, we’re starting somewhere.’ Twilight thought.
“Are you male or female?”
The creature looked at her with a deadpanned look, as if Twilight understood what it said.
“Oh, I’m sorry, how about this, are you male?”
The creature then nodded in recognition.
“Do you have a name that we can call you?” Twilight said, but realized that it can’t talk back to her.
“Umbreeeeooonnn ” The creature said in response.
“Is your name ‘Umbreon’?”
Umbreon nodded his head.
“Okay, just to summarize: your name is Umbreon and you are a male, correct?”
Umbreon nodded in acknowledgement.
“Would you mind if you met my friends and my teacher, Umbreon? They would like to meet you.”
Umbreon took a second to think, and then nodded approval.
“Great!” Twilight turned to the guards and said “Can you please get Princess Celestia and my friends to return here? Umbreon wishes to see them.”
The left guard nodded and left the room to return moments later with the ponies in tow.
“How have you been with the creature so far? Have you made any new progress?” Celestia asked.
“Well, with working with yes or no questions, I was able to find out that the creature, known as Umbreon, can understand us ponies, but we cannot understand him. I have asked the basics of his gender and his name, which is Umbreon. I was able to let everypony in to meet him, and hopefully progress further.”
“You have outdone yourself again Twilight, now I wonder if I can get him to meet Luna.” Celestia said the last part in a lower voice.
“Do you have a question to ask him Princess, or could my friends ask him some before it gets too late?” Twilight asked.
“I just have a few questions to ask him if that’s alright with everypony.” Celestia said out loud for the other girls to answer.
Everypony nodded and waited for their turns to ask Umbreon their questions.
After everypony had had their own turns for asking, it was time for Celestia to lower the sun and for Luna to raise the moon. Everypony seem to show that they were a bit tired, so they decided to leave with the Princess and head to their guest rooms, courtesy of Princess Celestia. The ponies said their goodbyes to Umbreon and filed out of the room. Before the Princess left the room she turned around and said to the guards,
“You may leave now. We have understood that Umbreon is in fact a friendly creature who does not need to be watched.”
The guards saluted and trotted out of the room, after the guards left, the Princess used her magic to close the door and turned to Umbreon.
“Umbreon, is it alright if my sister and I visit you in a little bit? We would need to discuss some things with you about your origins of being brought here.”
Umbreon looked at Celestia with his bright yellow cat-like eyes and nodded in agreement.
Celestia nodded and trotted out of the room, leaving Umbreon to himself.
‘So to summarize, I am in a world full of ponies of different kinds, and that their leaders are two mystical beings that can move the sun and moon. This day is getting better and better. I guess when the moon is out I can use Moonlight to heal myself of the wounds of the Pokemon battle from the other day… What is going to happen to me? ’ Umbreon thought to himself in the room alone.

Learning The Truth about The Visitor
Celestia trotted out the patient room, using her magic to close the doors behind her to meet her ponies.
“I shall see to it that you six have some needed rest for being dragged into this, and I thank you Fluttershy for trying to communicate with Umbreon.”
“O-oh you don’t have to praise me Princess, I didn’t help at all. It was Twilight that found out more than me…” Fluttershy praised her friend.
Twilight trotted next to her yellow coated friend.
“I learned from having you talk to him Fluttershy. If you didn’t talk to him I wouldn’t have come up with the idea that we as ponies can’t understand him.” Twilight complimented her friend.
“Oh well, you’re welcome then…” Fluttershy said in a light voice.
“Come on, we’re waiting for you two, I think Rarity is about to jump Applejack and give her a makeover if you two don’t hurry up.” Rainbow Dash said while floating to the three of them.
Celestia turned her attention to Rainbow Dash and said,
“I bet everypony is tired after meeting a new type of creature today. I think it’ll be best if you all go to bed now, since the sun will be lowered soon. I trust that my fellow pony guards can show you where to go?” Celestia asked.
“I know what we can do! We should invite Umi to a 'Welcome to Canterlot, thank you for not being evil! ' party!” Pinkie Pie said while hopping in place.
“No offense Pinkie, but you have the weirdest names for parties.” Rainbow Dash commented.
“Of course silly, it makes it super-duper better!” Pinkie Pie said while throwing confetti into the air.
“I would love to stay and talk my dear ponies, but I must leave to lower the sun for tonight or some ponies will freak. Have a restful evening.”
Celestia teleported out of the infirmary waiting room and reappeared in front of Luna’s bedroom, surprising Luna's Lunar guards.
“I apologize for the scare, my ponies. Is Luna in her bedroom still?”
Lunar guard on the left was the first to answer the sun Princess.
“Her majesty has been in her bedroom for the whole day, your majesty.”
“May I ask if you two leave? I have a sensitive subject to discuss with my sister that she doesn’t want anypony to hear.”
The guards hesitantly nodded from the odd request, gave a quick confirmation and headed off to the kitchen for some food.
Celestia opened the door with her magic and trotted in to see Luna in bed, but Celestia could hear light sniffling coming from her younger sister.
She closed the door quietly and said,
“Are you feeling better Luna?”
Luna used her magic to move the blankets off of her and slowly moved out of the bed to make eye contact with her sister. It was easily seen that Luna had been crying for some time after Celestia had left.
“Celestia…How is the creature recovering?” Luna quietly said.
“Well….”
As Twilight and her friends were escorted to their rooms, they talked about their thoughts on the creature they met that day.
“His coat is simply elegant! I wonder what he does to keep himself so…Magnificent !” Rarity said entranced.
“He seemed a bit…Scary.” Fluttershy said in a light whisper.
“Oh please Fluttershy, he seemed pretty cool! Did you see the things on his coat? They glowed when we were there! That is almost cool as me!” Rainbow Dash complimented as she complimented herself as well.
“We should really give him a party! I bet he would like my cupcakes, because everypony likes my cupcakes!” Pinkie stated while bouncing.
“We are missing the big picture of this, we haven’t seen this creature ever before. Even Fluttershy couldn’t talk to him, which means he isn’t any type of animal from around here…Or possibly…” Twilight trailed off as she started to think.
“Whats wrong Twy? Whats on yer mind?” Applejack asked.
“….I have to go somewhere right now, I’ll see you all later!” Twilight blurted out before galloping off in the opposite direction.
“Wha-Twilight, where are you going right now?” Rainbow Dash yelled out.
“To the library!” Twilight shouted before turning the corner.
“Sheesh, looks like Twilight went complete egg-head again…” Rainbow Dash muttered before yawning and flying off to the other ponies.
“Then we should go see him now after we do our ritual Celestia. Do you think he’ll still be awake?” Luna said.
“Shall we start now? I am quite certain that he is still awake.” Celestia said. As both sisters walked out onto the balcony of Luna’s tower and started the ritual, Celestia’s horn glowed, a yellow aura enveloping it. Using her magic, she gently grasped the sun while Luna did the same with the moon, her horn glowing in a blue aura. The sun was gently lowered as the moon started to rise into place where it belonged.
After their ritual was completed, the celestial sisters released their grasps of their magic and trotted back into the bedroom.
“Shall we head to Umbreon, I believe we have made him wait long enough dear sister.”
“Let’s get going then, I am glad that you are in better shape now Luna.”
“Well, bringing the moon out always relaxed me. I do not know why, but it eases my worries and uneasiness away.”
Celestia smiled but didn’t say anything, since she too knows how it feels with how she raises the sun every morning.
Both of the Princesses teleported out of the room and to the infirmary wing of the castle, and with Celestia leading the way, both Princesses headed off to meet Umbreon.
Twilight levitated the last book that she could find about mythical animals and creatures. Using her magic, she opened the front cover of the book and started to read intensely.
‘Manticores…Hydras…Cockatrice…Hippalectryon...'
"I can't find anything about what Umbreon is! I checked and checked all of the books from unknown creatures to even mythical, but I still can't find anything about what Umbreon is! I checked and checked all of the books from unknown creatures to even mythical, but I can't find anything about him! Maybe Princess Celestia has books about creatures if unknown types, but she must be sleeping right now. I should talk with Umbreon to learn more about his world." Twilight closed the book with her magic and galloped out of the Canterlot Library, leaving an angry librarian behind.
As the Princesses trotted through the halls of infirmary rooms, Luna slowly started to feel uneasy of seeing Umbreon, thinking of how he’ll act once he learns how she ripped him out of his world.
‘I wonder what he was doing when I pulled him here… Did he live in a town? Did he have a job that he would spend time to do for his family? Family, oh no! What if he had a family at his world, waiting for him to return but now are never going to find him…? Oh dear goddesses, what have I done!’
Luna placed one hoof on the tile before continuing on. With the thoughts she was having, she felt like she had destroyed a being's life for her own selfish wants. The thoughts becoming more and more painful, Luna let out a single tear before Celestia stopped and turned around to see why her sister had stopped.
Noticing the tear, Celestia became worried that Luna was thinking twice about seeing Umbreon.
“Are you alright my dear Luna? Please tell me what is wrong, I am here for you, sister.”
“Sister… Am I selfish?” Luna asked in more of a whisper, a whisper that even Celestia couldn’t hear.
Confused with what Luna had said, Celestia asked “Luna…Please raise your voice so I can hear you. You whisper quieter than Fluttershy does.”
“Am I…Selfish?” Was all that Luna said for her elder sister to decipher.
“Why would you consider that you're selfish sister? You are a very giving Princess who would do anything for her subjects.” Celestia said with a caring voice.
“If I am so giving… Why did I use the spell book? Why did I pull Umbreon out of his world? What if he had a caring family in his world? I greedily ripped him out of his world for my own benefit! I am not a giving Princess… I am a monster…” Luna lowered her head in shame of what she had thought of herself.
“Luna…Please don’t beat yourself up over this. What has happened cannot be undone, but we have to find the best of the worst things. Like I have said when I first saw Umbreon, he was hurt when you pulled him here. The spell wouldn’t have hurt him, so it might have been whatever was in his world that hurt him like that. We cannot control the wheel of fate. Even beings as ourselves are but victims to it.” Celestia nuzzled her younger sister, in hopes to make her feel better.
“We must not keep him waiting Luna, I bet he would love to meet you, he seemed to be quite a nocturnal creature, so I bet you’ll have fun being with each other.” Celestia said.
“You are right sister, we must get going now, thank you for making me feel better." Luna said, with a smile on her face.
Celestia nodded and the sisters continued trotting down the hall. Unknown to them, there was a certain purple unicorn who eavesdropped on them.
After both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna trotted into the room where Umbreon currently resided, Twilight slowly moved from the corner and thought to herself.
‘What did I just hear? Princess Luna was the one that summoned Umbreon? She said that she pulled him out of a different world! How is that possible?! Why did she do it though? I have so many questions, but I can’t just ask them! I should go back to the library, look into this and investigate this!’ Twilight turned around and headed off back to look not for creatures, but for spells revolving around teleportation spells.
As Celestia and Luna trotted into the room where Umbreon was currently staying, they noticed that he was looking through the window without his bandages covering his wounds (which made Luna grimace), gazing upon the full moon. As Celestia was about to tell Umbreon how unsafe that was, his crescent markings started to glow bright blue, and light from the moon started to wrap around him, which started to heal him from his wounds. After the healing process was completed, not a single scratch from before remained, leaving the two Princesses in shock. The pokemon opened his eyes to see the Princesses and went back to his bed, where it was comfortable for him. Unknowing to the Princesses, Umbreon used the move
Moonlight to heal himself, but knew the best time to heal all of his wounds was at night.
Luna, who was the moon Princess, was the first one to collect herself and said in a shocking, but happy tone, “By the goddesses…That was quite amazing. How could you use the moon to heal yourself? Not even the unicorns of the old ages could harness the moon’s energy to use it! But you, Umbreon, you used it as if it was easy as pie! How could you do such a feat?” Luna said in complete wonder, forgetting her sadness while she was trotting there.
Umbreon stared at Luna, as if he was waiting for her to understand what he cannot do.
‘I wonder who this new pony is. If I remember from what “Celestia” said, she had a sister, and I guess this must be her. She’s loud, but not as loud as the blue pony, or the pink one, what were their names again? Rainbow Blaze and Pinkie Cake? Something like that. This pony though…She seems different from them… Something is drawing me in, something is making me feel comfortable, closer to safety.’ Umbreon’s thoughts were interrupted by Celestia, as she started explaining to Luna why he isn’t talking back to her.
“I don’t think I told you sister, but Umbreon can’t talk back to us. Though he can understand us, he can’t speak our language, but can answer yes or no questions by nodding or shaking his head.” Celestia explained.
Luna seemed to deflate a little bit, as she had many different questions for the creature before her, but she realized that she was asking him questions of what he did and forgot to talk about what she’d done.
“Oh, um… I apologize for my sudden outbreak just now, for it is unknown to us that somepony could use my moon like that. Nod if you understand what I said and want me to continue.”
Umbreon looked at her and cocked his head in confusion. He understood what she had
said, but there was one part that confused him for many different ways.
‘Did she say that it was her moon? Did she meant that in a metaphor, or is it really hers?
Does it involve with her “cutie mark”, what the purple pony said before? This has just
become twice as confusing. ’ Umbreon hesitantly nodded for her to continue.
“I want to tell you that I know how you were brought to this world, brought here from
your own world.”
Luna began to tell how she found out about a spell book that supposed to summon a
pony, but taking the risk of using the spell despite the chance of summoning an unknown
being. During the time Luna was explaining to Umbreon, who was understanding some
of what Luna was saying, Celestia was gazing at Umbreon, looking for any anger or
anything that seemed negative.
‘I do not see any anger upon his face, unless he isn’t upset about it…That brings up
the question of why he isn’t upset. Was his life was dangerous? He might be glad to be
away from the world that keeps you in constant danger. ’ Celestia thought as Luna was
wrapping up the situation.
“-and that’s why you were summoned here, specifically in my bedroom. I feel so
ashamed of ripping you from your world…I felt like I could obtained a friendship by just
using magic to get it, but now I know that I can’t just do that. I want to apologize to you
for my actions. I-I do not know if I can summon you back to your own world…I am truly
sorry…” Luna lowered her head in what she felt so many years ago, the time before she
became Nightmare Moon. Sadness.
Everything became quiet as Umbreon started to sort out what he had become of him.
‘I’ve been injured from a battle, dragged into a portal, woke up in a bed in a new
dimension, woke up to a room of ponies, met one of the Princesses of this world, and now
the other Princess is telling me that she pulled me from my world by a spell to summon
a subject to be her friend… Now I might not be able to go back to my world…But in
the end, do I want to go back? I had been hunted down for years by trainers for my
uniqueness features… Could this be my break? Could I live with the ponies here?’
Umbreon had questions running throughout his mind, not paying attention to the gurgling
sounds coming from his stomach.
Both Princesses looked at Umbreon and noticed that the sound was coming from his
stomach.
Celestia broke the somewhat silent moment by saying “I think it would be best if we get
Umbreon something to eat, I think he’s pretty hungry.” Celestia stretched her wings and
quietly yawned. “And I have to get to bed soon. It would be quite bad if the ponies would
wake up with the moon still up.”
With that Celestia headed out the room, leaving the two nocturnal creatures to
themselves.
