A Bizzare Life
Prologue: The Hospital
Load Full StoryNext ChapterFor Brian, life was strange. He was walking alone at night, and having just got dinner from atop an apple tree, he felt it was time to return home. Some things I should mention are the facts that he grew up differently, he never met his grandfather, and he has locked away his rebellious side for years now. He was fifteen years of age, heading on to sixteen in about two months. He also had bizarre memories. Memories of a creature called a "Human" and a large portion of this creatures life, about 16 years, more or less. As he was strolling down the dirt road to where he lived, a grayish beam of light shot from the moon towards him. "That's odd... If I remember correctly, then my parents has told me that if a beam like this one appeard it meant one of the princesses are trying to contact me... Although I'm sure that's not the..." Suddenly, Brian was interrupted by a large crackling boom, as though a thousand volcanoes had just erupted around him, and his conciousnous fled him.
Brian was awoken to a yelping noise. This noise did not aid him in the fact that he seemed to have a headache like that of the world being placed upon his head. He was curious as to what the yelping was, but his energy faded quickly as he continued back off to sleep... Or rather, his Coma-like state. Little did he know that the yelp he heard came from one of the few who could help him overcome his past. All he remembered was a very feminine yelp and something that sounded like a question.
The next thing Brian saw we're white walls. A window near the bed he was in, with a strange heart-monitoring device attached to him. Well, heartrate monitoring device, but who really cares? It was causing him a vague pain in his foreleg where the IV was attached. He looked out the window to see the sky turning dark, and Pegasi struggling to keep the sky under proper control. Brian began to wish to aid them, but he felt miserable. His entire physical form ached. He knew he was in a hospital. After all, the hospital clothing was a dead giveaway. He then let sleep take over, for there was nothing for him to do at the time.
This time he awoke to voices outside his room. He heard a soft voice ask "Will he be alright? I don't know what I would do if Pinkie Pie found out her efforts for the 'Get Well Soon' party were for nothing. She was the pony who found him lying there... Well, tripped over him really, but... She just really loves to party and she has been making a lot of preparations for this one. She's had all month and we are beginning to worry that..." at that point Brian stopped listening.
"An entire damn month?! Why the hell haven't they tried everything to wake me?!" Was Brian's first thoughts. The he remembered those words were definitely NOT appropriate with him being in a hospital. "Dear Celestial, what happened to me?" Was what he decided to say, and he was wondering what he should do. Then the hunger kicked in, along with the urge to urinate. He managed to crawl out of the bed, remove the IV from his foreleg after getting the Nurses attention, and managed to crawl into the bathroom.
