The Voice of Harmony

             Daylight broke into the cross-dimensional home. The girls all slowly got up and proceeded down to the room where they would usually eat. Twilight was the first to awake, she made her way down and found Serana talking with Lucien. "No way, you really pulled something like that before I even got here?! I feel kind of bad for her." Twilight instantly knew what they were talking about.

      "Uh hi, is Scar up?" Twilight asked as the two turned their attention to her.

      "No, because he lost his powers, he basically has to go through vampirism again. So he'll be asleep for the whole day." Twilight frowned at this, and Lucien walked off. Serana got closer to Twilight and whispered, "Just between us, you LIKE Scar don't you?" Twilight started blushing deeply.

      "W-w-what?! N-n-no!" She exclaimed in the most unconvincing way she could, and Serana just smiled.

      "Well I don't mind if you like him, but I'm still not gonna let you have him." She says smiling with both certainty and kindness. "By the way, when we first become vampires, we lose our minds for a couple days. Scar and one of our friends found a song that describes it. If he even sees a guitar he will want to play it and sing it at least once, hopefully he doesn't sing it in its original language. Though it does sound better that way." Serana realized she was rambling and shook her head to stop. "Sorry."

        "It's fine, I do that a lot too." Twilight said and they both smiled. "So what genre is this song?"

        "Depending on how he plays it, it will either be hard rock or heavy metal. We first thought of these genres only a month ago, because the song didn't fit with anything." She said, and this confused Twi for a second. 'So throughout dimensions there is a balance of technology and magic, the more magic the slower the technological advances.'

        "He also has another song, he taught me to play it. It's a metal version of one of the songs of the Dragonborn, it's mostly instrumental though." Twilight brightened up by this. "Alright, I guess you do want me to play it." She said smiling, Twilight surprisingly had a variety of instruments in her basement, she teleported a guitar to them and gave it to Serana.          "That was AWESOME!" Serana was so in the moment of what she was playing she hadn't noticed the rest of the mane 6 had woken up. "What the hay was that!" Dash was extatic at what she had just heard.

         "That was heavy metal. We first came up with the name because this music sounds harder than rock." She said smiling at the mare. "Scar is a little better at it."

         "Hey where is Scar?" Dash asked, scanning the room.

         "He's sleeping, and he's probably gonna be sleeping all day due to the return of his vampiric powers." Twilight answered.

         "TWIIIIIIIILIIIIIIIIGHT!" They turned around to see Spike, who was both worried and angry, but then confused. "Two things. First of all how the heck is this place so big? Second where have you been?" The little dragon answered and then turned his gaze to Serana. "And who are you?" She responded by chuckling and shifting back into her original form, this struck Spike speechless.

          "The name is Serana, and who are-" She was interrupted by the dragon once again.

          "MUTANT CHANGELING!" He screamed, this just annoyed Serana, she was used to people screaming and yelling at her for being a vampire, but he just called her something she'd never heard of and on top of that, he interrupted her. She bat swarmed between him and the door so he could not start a panic in town, then she picked the nuisance up and swarmed over to Twi.

           "Twilight, is this 'thing' yours?" She asked while holding the still screaming dragon.

"Unfortunately yes. Sorry Serana." She then turned her gaze to the dragon. "Spike!" The dragon immedietly stopped screaming. "You almost just got the entire town terrified of Serana apologize."

"But Twilight she's a mutant change-" Spike was interrupted with a hoof but in his mouth.

"Spike, this is not a changeling, this is Serana. She is Scars' girlfriend." Spikes' eyes widened and he now was staring at Serana, now noticing she was actually kinda hot.

"Hi." She said to the annoying lizard that could have ruined it for her, she then morphed back into the form of a pony. "Twilight I am going to go check-up on Scar. I will be back in a minute." Then she walked off towards Scars' room.

"Uhh Twilight did something happen, why would she need to check up on him?" Spike asked, completely confused.

"Sorry Spike I can't exactly tell you, I swore not even to tell the princess." Spikes' eyes widened, as he thought there was nothing she wouldn't tell the princess. "Anyway let's go check on Scar as well, Twilight and Spike walked into the room, and saw Serana kiss Scar as he slept. Twilight was both embarrassed and shocked at what she just saw, while Spikes jaw hit the floor.

Serana hasn't even turned to them, "So you gonna say anything or just enjoy the show, Twilight, you like him more than you think." Twilight was baffled and Spike, just kept looking back and forth between Twilight and Scar. "Anyway where would you and the girls like to go today?" Twilight snapped out of her stupor.

"Well, I thought we could introduce you to some of the ponies around the town, and I'm surprised Pinkie hasn't thrown either of you an enormous party yet, and hopefully soon we can introduce you to Celestia." She said naming things of the top of her head.

"Well I think we should get that last one out of the way as quickly as possible, unlike Scar, I think that if she could create such a peaceful kingdom as this she must have some tolerance." Serana said this and Twilight smiled.

"Well I'll write her a letter and she should come back as soon as possible." Twilight said cheerfully.

"Sooooo, what should we do to kill the time." Rainbow asked.

"Well, Scar and I would go hunting in our world, but I'm guessing that isn't exactly welcome here." Serana said and they nodded, slightly disturbed that they would kill out of boredom. "Oh!" they were now listening attentively. "Well, you all know how Dash got to ride Odahviin but no one else could?" They nodded and Dash was smiling. "How would you all feel about flying on the wings of bats." They were slightly nervous but excited nonetheless. "Alright everyone hold on to eachother." She said this and took Twilight's hoof and they each connected with the one holding on to Twilight and so on. "Now, any specific destination?"

"My library, it looks like a large tree in ponyville." Serana nodded and they formed into a huge swarm of bats and flew across the sky then through the window of Twilight's library. They switched back after hovering for a few seconds. "Woah, that was, amazing." Twilight said after she returned to her normal form. "So uh, what do we do now?" She wondered, not wanting to bore her new friend.

        "Well as much as I know you will all disagree, I need to get some combat practice in." When she said this all of the girls, except Dash cringed.

        "I'll do it, just no magic okay?" She asked the last part sheepishly.

        "Sure, the only one I can use magic on without really hurting them is Scar." She smiled a bit when she said his name. "Anyway, let's get a little ways out of town, we don't want the populace freaking out now do we." She said before bat swarming the group a good mile out of town. "Alright let's get started." Serana raised her arms, ready to attack or defend, Dash entered a combat stance that Serana could barely take seriously. "Looks like you need combat practice as well."

        "HEY!" Dash shouted, offended by that insult, she then charged straight at Serana, who simply side stepped then brought a leg up into Dash's side.

        "Analyze your opponent, I could tell speed was one of your strengths, but your reaction time was slowed when you let emotions take over. You can't fall victim to them in an actual fight, that will be the end of you." Serana said as she helped Dash back up.

         "Wow just how much time did you and Scar have to spend fighting things in your world?" Dash asked the royal vampire.

         "We had to fight every day when we weren't in one of the towns or cities. We learned how to fight long before we met eachother, but the bandits kept our skills in check." Dash's jaw had dropped, she had heard about the bandits from Scar, but she hadn't thought there were THAT many of them. "But that was only when we weren't looking for a fight, we would constantly accept bounty for slaying creatures that have been harming civilians, like bandit chiefs, giants, and dragons." They were amazed by this, they couldn't believe they would go looking for a fight.

        The two continued their sparring, Serana was keeping her skill intact, while Dash was getting better and better. They kept sparring for a few more hours, eventually Dash was too tired to keep going, in turn they all headed back to castle Volkihar. When they entered however, they were stunned.

        Scar was in the form of a human, not Argonian, human. He was also tied up by golden plate armored Pegasi.

"PUT HIM DOWN NOW!" The 6 turned to see Serana, whose hands were radiating an ominous crimson.

        "It's another one GUARDS! Restrain it!" They turned to see a white unicorn who had a regal, but obnoxious tone to it. Rarity was now instantly pissed off.

        "I WILL SAY ONE MORE TIME! PUT HIM DOWN!" Seranas' voice was louder than that of Luna.

        The guards responded to that by charging, Serana drew a dagger built from dragon bone. One of the guards drove a spear straight into Serana, the 6 were about to scream. When they saw Serana vanish into a cloud of mist, she rematerialized behind the guard, and drove her dagger into the back of its shoulder, forcing it to drop the spear. She then turned her eyes to the other guard, her eyes flashed green and the guard stopped in its place.

         "Hey would you mind restraining your boss?" She asked the hypnotized guard, it nodded, turned around, and held Blueblood down.

         "What are you doing you foal, I am the prince?!" He shouted at his guard.

         "He can't hear anything except the sound of my voice, vampiric seduction works wonders on my enemies." She said with an evil smile on her face. "Now, tell me, why in oblivion did you tie up my friend?" She asked the anger coming back into her voice.

        "There was a pony that supposedly saved Equestria, Celestia told me to come and thank him myself. I get here and there is this BEAST lying in the bed." She responded to the insult by kicking him in the stomach. "You think you can get away with this you monster!"

       "I'm not the one going around tying up heroes, and assaulting women you pampered, rude, arrogant, undeserving prince." He was about to open his mouth to insult her, but she slapped him. "I am Serana, Queen of the Volkihar vampires. You just tried to kidnap the king." His jaw dropped, she then turned to the 6. "If I were to stab this bastard, would you testify it was self defense?"

       "No!" All of the girls shouted, shocked by this display, except for Rarity who shouted, "Yes!" The girls turned to her, and she looked back at them and said. "What? She said stab not kill." Blueblood was shocked by this more than anything.

        "Well, that's one way to wake up." The girls (yes that includes Blueblood) turned to see a now freed Scar, who was still a human. "Not gonna question the SECOND new form I've had within the week. But who is the pony that Serana and that enthralled guard are holding down?"

      "They tied you up in your sleep, then tried to kill me."

      "Oh, can we kill him?" Scar asked the group, and they were even more shocked. "Fine, but can I at least stab him?"

      "Get in line Scar."

      "Okay."

      "Wait! Just explain to Blueblood that you were the one that saved he town!" Twilight shouted and Bluebloods' eyes widened.

      "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE! YOU THINGS ARE MONSTERERS!" Then there was a familiar sound, the group looked at Scar who was now a vampire lord again.

     "DON'T YOU FUCKING SPEAK, YOU DON'T DESERVE YOU TITLE YOU WHELP!" The entire group was terrified, except for Rarity, she was smiling. "You were born into your power, therefore you do not understand it, and unlike me or Serana you did not earn it. I fought the kingdom I now rule, I defeated the previous tyrant king. And am now in a relationship with that bastards daughter. Who was so dedicated to doing the right thing, that she left the comfort of her kingdom and fought beside me on the front lines to stop her father." He had calmed down and then returned to his human form.

       "Blueblood, your people respect your title, they do not respect you. No matter who you are you must earn respect. Our subjects respect us, we do not act like their superiors, we treat them as friends, as equals. You should learn that form of compassion." Serana said as she released the prince. "Guard I release you from your binding." Her eyes flashed again and the guard blinked for a second

       "Prince what happened?" He said as he helped Blueblood up.

       "Just pick up the other guard, we are leaving." He said with his usual tone.

       The rest sat there in an awkward silence for what seemed like an hour. Rarity then ran up and hugged both of the royal undead.

       "Alright then. Serana I'm going to go and get my royal armor, I will be right back."

       "That was awesome, you didn't tell us you can turn into mist." Dash said to Serana.

       "We wanted to avoid telling you about the powers that only vampire lords can wield. We can also enhance our reflexes to the point that it seems like time has slowed down for us. We can also summon gargoyles, paralyze enemies, levitate them and drain the very life from them. While a mist we recover our health and strength. We can also raise the dead to fight for us." The girls jaws had dropped at reflexes.

      "Also while we're in that.... Other form, we have bats fly around us and feed on any hostiles, by the way we can also see in the night as clear as day." They looked and saw Scar fully clothed in armor similar to that of Serana's. They then looked to his head, he had a golden rimmed crown with a beautiful crystal in the center.

       "Soooooo how is it that I'm human?" Scar asked while staring at the group, Serana included.

       "Um, I might have an idea." Serana said almost nervously. "When a vampire turns someone they leak a little bit of their blood into the one getting turned, because you were already a vampire, when I turned you, you must have also gained my morphing spell, which made your default species human. Just think about your pony form and you will go back to it." She explained.

       "Uh wow that's useful." Scar said completely unfazed by the sudden change.

       "So let me get this straight, you lost all of your powers when you saved us before, and now you have your vampire powers left PLUS the ability to shape-shift?" We nodded, "awesome."

       "Darling could I just ask what that magnificent crystal in your crown is?" Scar started smiling at the fashionista.

       "This Rarity, is aetherium, it is a mineral that was plentiful during the creation of my world. In my crown is the last piece on Nirn. My crown is also bound to the power of the shadow stone, allowing me to turn invisible for an extensive amount of time, once a day."

      "So that is the only aetherium left on either of our worlds. Why is it that their are so many once a day powers?"

      "I believe it is because if any bad people got their hands on these powers, they would be able to use it for very extensive evil. Enough of this though, would you like to hear my story of being within the Thieves guild? It actually ends quite interestingly." They were hesitant to hear about my experience as a thief, but were interested nonetheless. "Well it all started in the city of Riften..."
