Peace and Death

Finally... I thought in relief as the forest entrance came into view. I glanced at the fillies sleeping in my arms. They look peaceful, but how long will that last? I grinned and made my way towards the entrance. The moon was still high in the sky, illuminating the path which guided me out of the forest.

I scanned my new surroundings. As I saw from the gorge, I was surrounded by green grassy plains and I could see the village in the distance.Now then I lowered the fillies to the ground. I believe that the soul of the orange one will suffice. The world would definitely be a better place if I took just her soul I darkly thought while raising my hand."As a human would say.." My hand glowed red. "Rest in peaces! Kiyehahahaa!" I laughed as I brought my hand down towards the filly.

*Clank!*

"Eh?" I glanced at my hand and saw that it was hovering just inches from the filly's face as If stopped by some kind of solid wall.Impossible.... I thought as I retracted my hand and brought it down with more force this time.

*Clank!*

".......Eh?"  Confusion was plastered on my face, which soon turned to anger "JUST DISAPPEAR!"I roared as I struck the filly again with all of my might.

*Clank!*

The filly was perfectly intact. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!?" I screamed in shock, my eyes bulging from their sockets."How can this be possible!?" I panicked as my brain went into overdrive. "Filly!hand!filly!hand! equals.......absolutely NOTHING!" I shouted ,failing to notice the stirring fillies. They must have some kind of barrier protecting them from my soul touch, but what!?" I groaned in frustration while massaging my temples " Okay...I just have to calm down and examine the fillies. I'm sure that theres a simple solution if I patiently examine them." I turned towards the fillies feeling much calmer " Now then. The first thing that I should do is to-"

The spot were the fillies laid was empty.

I slowly raised my head and saw a retreating dust cloud heading towards the village in the distance. Keep it calm Mot...theres no need to panic... I took a deep breath.Theres no need to act like a horny incubus at this time of the night I assured my self." I can gather the souls I need tomorrow. No one will believe those fillies so It will be easy" I chuckled and turned away.  While I do like sleeping outside, I believe that a temporal residence would be more fitting I thought while searching for something were I could stay the night. After a while I spotted a lonely cottage at the outskirt of the forest."Aah...Perfect" I thought as I started to make my way towards it.

"A cozy little cottage" I said aloud, standing in front of the door. The cottage had a very rustic and earthly feel to it, almost like it was welcoming me with open arms. Since I hate being rude, knocking sounds like a polite way of announcing your presence I deduced and gently knocked the door three times. After waiting for a while I could hear a voice approaching.

"Coming!" A feminine voice called out. This will be interesting I thought while I polished my coffin.

The door slowly opened and I was greeted by a sight of a yellow pegasi mare. "How can I help........you?" The pegasi trailed of as she noticed my appearance.

"Greetings" I bowed my head. " My name is Mot and I was wondering If I could spend a night in your humble abode" I calmly stated. The pegasi in return just eeped  and quickly slammed the door shut. This is why I prefer humans more.. I sighed and knocked the door again.

The door slightly creaked. "Please don't hurt me.." The mare whimpered.I backed away slightly to give her some space "I assure you that I have malicious intents" By the tits of the succubus! Why did I say that!? I shook my head. "I mean that I don't have any malicious intents" I quickly corrected. The mare creaked the door a little and peeked out "Rea-really?" She asked and I nodded. " You have my word as the God of Death" Abaddons snot!" I mean that you have my word as the.......weird guy in the coffin"I finished with a perfect poker face.

The mare stared at me for a moment , but then smiled and opened the door. "I'm truly sorry, I shouldn't judge anypony by just how they look" She apologized."Could you repeat your name mister? I mean if thats okay with you" Its best if I kept my identity as a secret for now

"You may call me Tom miss....."

"Fluttershy" She smiled softly.

"Miss Fluttershy" I repeated. What a strange name...

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance mister Tom" Fluttershy bowed her head

"Like wise young Flutthershy" I bowed again earning another kind smile from the mare.

"So I presume its safe for me to sleep here for the night?" I questioned.

"Of course mister Tom. You can sleep in my bed while I will take the sofa" She motioned me to follow her. Such a kind mare..

"I don't want to intrude miss Fluttershy, let me take the sofa" I insisted, but she just smiled again.

"Oh,but I insist. I rarely get any guest so I want you to enjoy your stay as much as possible"  I was shocked at how kind this mare was to a complete stranger. " As you wish" I bowed my head in gratitude earning a light giggle from the mare.

"Just take the stairs up and you will find my room. Goodnight mister Tom" Fluttershy smiled again.

"Goodnight miss Fluttershy" I replied and went to her room.

Such kindness is hard to find.......  I thought as I laid down on the small bed and fell asleep.
