Harmony itself

Luna noticed Twilight looked thoughtful as the carrier flew through the sky.

"What's on your mind?" she asked the other princess.

"I was just wondering why we need eight elements of hamormy, instead of six. My friends and I were linked before we met, I mean Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom help all of us earn our cutie. It seems strange that two ponies whom weren't there for the defeat of Nightmare Moon could suddenly be elements of harmony. I know Triple Threat once helped Dash and Shy when they were fillies, but we have little to no connection with Jack." she continued.

They looked over at Jack who sighed and turned away.

"Well Twilight, harmony itself isn't limited to to six elements. There is more to it than kindness, loyalty, honesty, generosity, laughter and magic. There's courage, trust, love, even friendship itself." Luna said.

"I know, but Celestia herself said you and her found the elements of harmony during Discords reign."

"Hey, I'm right here." the draconequus said annoyed.

Twilight, ignoring him continued. "Wouldn't the elements of harmony be a closed system?" she asked.

Luna looked serious. "Remember Twilight, Mother and Father created the elements of Harmony, when we had defeated Discord..."

"Again, right here." Discord commented annoyed.

"Mother came to me after I raised the moon. She told us she and Father made the elements of harmony and left them where we can find them. The six element were there favorite aspects of life, however as I said earlier, harmony isn't limited to those six, they  can easily make more. They have there reason for choosing Triple and Jack to join you." Luna explained.

Twilight took a moment to think about what see was just told. He thoughs, however, where interupted by a loud cheer.

"We're here!" TT cheered as the cloud city came into view.

The sun had risen once they had arrived at Cloudsdale. Twilight casted the walk on clouds spell on Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity.

“I don’t need that spell.” Jack told Twilight.

She watched in amazement as Jack got out of the carrier and walked along the surface, an ice floor forming everywhere he went.

“Show off.” Triple said as she walked past.

The gang went to town hall, where Luna made an announcement.

“Loyal subject, please stop what you’re doing and look at the sky.”

"Buck you, why should we?" a pegasus spat at her.

"JUST BUCKING DO IT." the princess thundered.

The Pegasi stopped and looked up. Over head, RD and TT where doing arial stunts. The crowd stared in amazement.

“We got em right where we want em, time for the finish.” Dash said.

“Right behind you.” Triple said.

The two pegasi flew up high and nosed dived down. As they did, mock cones engulfed both of them. They grapped hooves and began to spin around until their mock cones combined into one, then moments before hitting the clouds, they pulled up with a loud BOOM! A huge rainbow disk covered the city, and then a massive rainbow was painted across the sky, it almost seemed to re color the sky entirely, the pegasi ooouuuuu aaaaawww and believed.

“It’s working I feel stronger” Twilight said. “Yeah me too , but I still feel kinda feel empty” Pinkie said.

RD and TT came back exhausted. “That was harder than I remember; it doesn’t take so much to do a sonic rainboom.” Dash panted.

“At least I can saw I you’re not the only Pegasus who can do it.” Triple teased. Rainbow huffed. “C’mon, we don’t have much time, to Tall Tail.” Twilight said.

It was day two when they arrived. This time, the heroes nearly got crushed in mob of angry ponies. It was clear the changelings had doubled their effort before their ten day banishment.

“Wait, you wouldn’t hit ponies with dresses would you?” Discord asked.

With a snap, everypony was wearing a dress. The angry mob ripped off their dress and started beating our hero's with them.

"Hitting a ponies with dressing, wow, wouldn't have thought of that." the  former spirit of disharmony thought to himself.

“Wait, how about this!?” Jack screamed above the crowds angry boos.

He had made a path of ice that went across the entire town.

“Oh, I get it!” Pinkie cheered.

She jumped onto the path and slid down it. The townsponies had to admit it did look like fun, and immediately followed Pinkie’s lead. Dash, Triple, Twilight and Fluttershy flew alongside to make sure nopony got off the makeshift slip and slide and got hurt. Cheers of joy could be heard as pony slid down the ice path and into a large pile of snow at the end of it. Seeing the job done, the gang hopped back on the carrier and race to Van Hoover. This time a stampede of ponies charged at them. Discord was able to get them out of the way before they got crush.

“Phew, that was close, the changelings have obviously amped it up, so to speak, they almost ruined my mane.” Rairty said dramaticly.

“Oh who cares about your mane, there making more chaos than me, and that’s saying something.” Discord said.

“Well, what are we going to do here?” Rainbow asked.

“Ah’ll tell yall what where going to do, we’re going to have us a pony round up.” Applejack said.

“This ain’t the rodeo Jacky, how are we going to get of them back?” Jack asked.

“We just need to herd them back to town.” Applejack said.

She briefed them on what needed to be done. Once everypony knew their jobs, they set off after the stampede. Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy ,and Triple flew alongside the ponies some none of them go out of line. Applejack herself then went into the crowd and lassoed the lead pony, a brown earth pony, and forced her to turn around. Once they had returned to town, Applejack made her stop. The stampede stopped in front of Luna, who used a spell to put them to sleep. Everypony was surprised to find themselves in a dream, and unlike in the current reality, the town was bright and colorful, not like the gray that seemed to hang around in the waking world.

“Loyal subjects, have you all forgotten what makes Equestria great?” she asked the townspeople.

They looked at each other asking themselves what she meant.

“Yeah they have Princess, Stand back let me show how it’s done.” Jack said.

He made a giant snowcloud appear overhead, then snowflakes fell quietly to the ground. The ponies stared in awe. A snowflake landed on each ponies nose. It light up and reminded each pony the moment in their lives when they felt the happiest of all. You could hear Pinkie Pie laughing loudly at the back. Luna, seeing that the ponies where now happiest, woke them up. Everypony noticed that the work had regained its color. The sky however had darken.

“Everypony, you’re in for a real treat, you’re going to see Luna raise the moon!” Twilight called.

They watched as Princess Luna flew up above them, then stretch her hooves out in front of her. Lighting up her horn, Luna raised her hooves slowly. As she did, the moon rose up from behind the horizon. The crowd watched as the full moon slowly ascended and stopped in the middle of a star lit sky, giving all who saw it a feeling of awe, especially Triple Threat. She had seen Celestia raise the sun before, and seeing Luna raise the moon only made her wonder how one pony could control a celestial body.

“Alright everypony, time to call it a day.” A voice said, pulling Triple out of her train of thought.

She shook her head to see Princess Luna had returned. Fortunately for the gang, having two princesses with them meant they could check into luxury suites in the hotel, except for Jack, who opted to sleep outside, since he himself had never had a place to call home.

“Hey guys, I’m going to stay outside with Jack.” Triple told them.

Rainbow and Fluttershy smirked at each other.

“Hey, it’s not like that!” Triple shot at them.

“TT, if I’ve learned anything from getting with this pretty pony, it’s what love looks like.” Dash said, pulling Shy in for a hug.

The red Pegasus pawed the ground. “Well, I guess he is kind cute.” She said quiety.

“Cute enough to snuggle with?” Shy asked.

“No!” Triple shot defensively.

“Triple, I know what you’re thinking, you’re worried he doesn’t like you back, aren’t you?” Fluttershy asked.

The blue maned pegasus nodded.

“I know the feeling, I was afraid this one didn’t like me the way I liked her, but after that day we did snuggle, I learned it’s better to find out sooner than later.” Fluttershy said encouragingly.

TT looked out the door. “Go on you crazy kid, go get him.” RD teased.

Triple Threat went out the door to find Jack Frost.
