Chapters It was nighttime in Ponyville and Twilight and her friends were on a train to canterlot to meet with Princess Luna. Apparantly, Luna sent them a letter telling them to come to the Canterlot castle for an urgent reason. They had no idea why she told them to come but based on her sloppy handwriting, they saw it as danger and immediately left for the castle. Her letter also said to bring the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Spike along with them.
As the train stops at the Canterlot train station, they start asking questions about what will happen when they get there.
"Do you think she's ok? Her handwriting was kinda rushed as though if she were in a dire situation" Twilight said towards her friends.
"Ah dont know Twilight. Im just as worried as you are and ah hate to see the princess hurt" Applejack replied, who was jist as worried as Twilight.
"Well were not gonna going to know unless we get going." Rainbow Dash said. The 9 ponies and dragon then made their way to the Canterlot castle.
When they got there, they were met by Luna's night guards.
"Halt. State your business here." One of them said. Twilight showed the guard the letter and the guard let them in.
"I feel bad for them, they gotta go through...you know." One of the guards said.
"Sucks to be them." The other one said.
Inside, the nine ponies and dragon were followed by Twilight to go to Luna's throne room since she is the only one who knows where it is.
When they arrived at the room, they noticed seven other ponies at the front door. One was a grey pegasus with a yellow mane and weird cross-eyes. Next to her were two mares, a grey earth pony with a fancy brown-black mane, and a white unicorn with a electric blue mane wearing purple shades. Below them were three foals, about the crusaders age. One was a white pegesi colt with a brown mane, another was a white brown spotted earth pony colt with a brown mane, and finally, a white-grey pegesi colt with a jet black mane.
"Well if it isnt the mane 6, their pet dragon, and the 3 little sisters. Let me guess, you got a sloppily written letter by Princess Luna telling you to come here for something important?" The blue maned one said.
"Don't be like that Vinyl. We got them too. I'm not too sure why we were told to come here." The grey black maned one said.
"It's ok Vinyl and Octavia. But we don't know why we were told to come here too. This is strange." Twilight said. The crusaders went up to the colts.
"Featherweight, Pipsqueak, Rumble? You guys are here too?" Scootaloo questioned.
"Yeah. Me, Rumble and Pipsqueak were sent a letter by Luna to tell us to come here. For an odd reason, our parents couldn't come so Derpy became our chaperone." Featherweight said.
"Mines told me that there would be muffins involved." Derpy said.
"Yes we know Derpy, and I never expected you three here." He added. They all chatted about stuff for the past 10 minutes until the doors finally opened. All fifteen ponies and dragon went in the double doors.
Went they went inside, they met face to face with the princess of the night herself.
"Hello everypony. I am glad you are all here to join me at this night. There is something important we need to do tonight and I can't do it any other night. Please follow me into the room behind me and we shall discuss what will happen tonight." She said as she trotted into the room behind her. They all followed her into the room only to be met with darkness.
"I'm kinda scared." Sweetie Belle said. Featherweight held her as they went in for protection. They had become each other's special somepony sometime before this.
"Ok Luna. Tell us what is going on now!" Twilight said as she was getting angry.
"Ok then Twilight. Welcome everypony to MY GAMING ROOM!" She yelled while turning on the lights. they all saw something they had never expected to see from a princess of the night.
The room itself was big but what caught their attention was a gigantic screen that spelt "LUNA'S GAMING TOURNAMENT". Aside from that, there were two big stands in front of the big screen, one red and the other blue. To the left of the stands were refreshments, enough to feed a family of dragons, and some seats. To the right of the stands were the same thing.
"So what do you think about it?"
Everypony and Spike had their jaw hanging
"Hello? Equestria to ponies? Are you there?"
"So you dragged us all here for a tournament?" Twilight said.
"Yup. I wanted to test your skills and see how well you can perform in these video games. Plus Celestia is out for the weekend so I'm gonna be bored throughout that time. Now I'm sure most of you played some type of video game before, so that's why I picked you sixteen."
"What about Lyra? She's boss at games like call of duty?" Derpy said.
"And Trixie?" Twilight added.
"Also why not Button Mash?" Rumble also added.
"Finger addiction, show off, and I don't know who Button Mash is." Luna replied.
"Ok then, did Celestia let you do this?" Twilight said.
"Look at the left and read the letter weittin be Celestia."
The letter read this..
This letter was writtin by Celestia to allow usage to me and my sisters gaming room under Luna's supervision

"Ok then. Why the foals?" Twilight added.
"We wanted ponies at ages close to the games to join. Don't worry about the parents. They already know. I told them if they don't wanna play, they will be teleported home."
"Well...ok Luna I'll join your little tournament." Twilight said with a smirk.
"Excellent. If any other pony wants to leave then now is your chance. If not, you will join my tournament." Everypony discussed this for a while and eventually, they all decided to join in the tournament.
"Oh, most wonderful! Now in every tournament, we will of course have rules. Firstly, I will talk about the layout of the tournament. Since there are sixteen of you, we will have a 4 round tournament. In every round, we will play a different game in each round. For the first round, there will be eight matches, Second round will have four matches, third round will have two matches and the fourth and final round will be one match. Each match is one vs one, and the winner will move to the next round while the loser has a choice, stay with their friends, or go home. Also the winner of the tournament will be able to face one final challenge, me. Before I start this tournament, I will tell you now that there will be absolutely NO MATURE RATED games in this. So no Call of Duty or Halo or anything like that. Also, Discord!"
"Right on it Luna." The ponies saw a flash of light and when it was gone, all the unicorns and pegesi had no horns and wings respectively.
"Since she want to keep it fair, she told me to remove your horns and wings. You will use your hooves only for the time being. Don't worry, they will be returned when the tournament is over, or when a loser wants to go home early." Discord said as the god of chaos went to get a drink.
"So now that that's all settled, are you ready?" Luna said.
"Yes!" They all said.
"Then let the tournament begin."
Everypony in Luna's gaming room was waiting for Luna to finish up the bouts so they can see who will be facing who. Twilight was wondering why Luna would only invite her, her friends, and a few ponies she didn't even know much.
I wonder why only us? She thought. Luna then called all the ponies to the middle of the room to discuss the bouts.
"Ok my little ponies...and dragon. Before we start the tournament however, it is time to decide who will be facing WHO!" She said, the last part in a louder Canterlot voice. Everypony almost went deaf when she screamed that loud.
"Dang...and my beats don't even blast that loud." Vinyl said rubbing her ears.
"Luna I know you're excited, and I am as well but can you calm down and please tell us who will be facing who?" Twilight said. Luna calmed down and by using her magic she turned the large screen on to show a large tournament board with empty bouts and standings. She then used a spell to summon a black box with a large hole in it, a bowl, and a metal horseshoe.
"Ok everypony. This is how we will decide who will face who in the tournament. You must wear the horseshoe then stick your hoof in the box. The horseshoe will pick up a red ball in the box. Each ball has a number on it and whatever number you grab will be your number up on the screen." She said while pointing to the screen in which the bouts were numbered 1 through 16. "Then please put the ball in the bowl after picking it up."
"Ok the first pony to pick up a ball is...Derpy." Luna said while reading a list of names. Derpy went up to the box and put the horseshoe on. She then put her hoof in the box while looking away. She picked up a red ball with the number 7 and showed it to Luna.
"Derpy you got number 7." Luna said. The screen showed her name under standing number 7 in bout 4. Derpy put the ball in the bowl and walked to take a seat.
"Next up, Rarity."
"Alright then." Rarity replied as she did the same thing. She picks up a ball with the number 11.
"Number 11 for you Rarity." Luna said as the screen shows her name under standing number 11.
"Ok." She said while putting the ball in the bowl and going back to her friends.
"Next...Apple Bloom."
"Alright then Luna." She said while putting on the horseshoe only to find trouble putting it on due to it's size. Luna then gave her a smaller one which shewas able to use. She gets a ball with number 16.
"Your number is 16." Luna said much to Apple Bloom's dismay seeing as how she has to wait quite a while before she can kick somepony's flank. Her name appears under number 16 on the screen.
"Ok...Spike you're next. You can just pick up the ball with yo-wait I got a better idea. Discord." She called. The mismatched creature came immediately.
"Yeah Luna?" He said. Luna whispers an idea to his ear to which he agreed too. He looks at Spike with a evilish look, Spike returning a scared look.
Another flash happens and when it dissolves, Spike notices his claws are...well not claws anymore they are.."
"H-hooves!?" He said. Everypony had their mouth agape again.
"Yup, now you can play with the controllers the ponies use easier. Don't worry, like the ponies, you will get your claws back wgen this is over or when you want to go home after losing." Discord said. Spike was both amazed and enraged that he got hooves for the tournament. He was happy though that all his other body parts are normal.
"These are cool but..."
"Hey Spike, you still need to get a number." Luna said. Spike went to the box and with a little trouble, got his number which was 3.
"Number 3 Spike." Luna said. The screen shows his name under number 3. He then sits down and looks at his cla-err hooves.
"I wonder if I can become a full fledged pony?"
"Possible, but takes a lot out of me if I do so." Discord said. Spike just said nothing. He jist looked at his new hooves.
"Ok next is..."
After that needed timeskip, the bouts on the screen show as followed.
1: Pinkie Pie VS 2: Octavia
3: Spike VS 4: Rainbow Dash
5: Rumble VS 6: Fluttershy
7: Derpy Hooves VS 8: Pipsqueak
9: Sweetie Belle VS 10: Twilight Sparkle
11: Rarity VS 12: Featherweight
13: Scootaloo VS 14: Applejack
15: Vinyl Scratch VS 16: Apple Bloom
"Ok everypony here's how the tournament will play out. The first bout will be Pinkie Pie versus Octavia, then Spike versus Rainbow Dash. Next is Rumble versus Fluttershy, then Derpy vs Pipsqueak. After that it's Sweetie Belle versus Twilight Sparkle, then Rarity versus Featherweight. Then we have Scootaloo versus Applejack and finally, Vinyl Scratch versus Apple Bloom. Well now that that's over, I need to go set up the game and everything else. Until then, relax, have a snack or just chat for about fifteen minutes." As she said that, Luna left into a room under the giant screen.
So I gotta face Sweetie Belle in the 5th round eh? Well that sounds interesting. Twilight thought. Sweetie Belle was staring at her with the same opinion.
Spike was chatting about how he has to face Rainbow Dash in the first round with Featherweight who was chatting about how he has to face Rarity in the first round much to Spike's dismay.
Octavia kept her distance from Pinkie Pie as she did not want to talk to her or else she would be listening to a pretty long conversation about what she was gonna assume partying. Pinkie told her that she understood as she too realizes that she can get sorta talkative, much to Octavia's relief.
Scootaloo wonders why Applejack out of all ponies did she have to face in the first round. Applejack was thinking the same thing.
Rumble was sorta agitated and confused over the fact that he has to face Fluttershy in the first round, but Fluttershy was more nervous then confused. Thankfully, Rarity was there to lend her a helping hoove.
Derpy was talking to Pipsqueak and being a good sport to him about the tournament and vice versa.
"Don't hold back Derpy."
"Oh I won't." They then did a hoofbump.
Vinyl was pissed over two things. One, she plays last in the first round. Two, she has to face Apple Bloom and to her, she doesn't like facing foals in video games especially online (nobody does). She was more pissed over the fact that she had to play last though.
"Why do I have to play last?" She said to herself. Her friend Octavia tried to make her feel better but no effect.
"Come on Vinyl. It's not that bad." Her blue maned friend just said nothing. Luna then came back with a universal remote.
"Ok everypony, we may now finally start the tournament." Luna said.
"Now the first game we will play is one everypony can be familiar with." Luna said as she pressed a button on the remote. The screen switched to a game title which read
"Super Smash Brothers Brawl!" She said. Her Canterlot voice almost slipping out.

Hey im sorry i didn't say earlier but...

the reason why is because i wanna finish FeatherBelle (which i need to work on because ive gotten a little lazy with it.)

While they kept trying to kill each other in smash bros, Luna was getting a tad bored and took a small break. Discord took her place for the time being. She pulled out a device from under a table with her magic and looked at it for a while. Twilight noticed and she went up to the princess of the night to find out.
"Is that an iPone?" She Questioned.
"Yes Twilight it is one. and I'm a little busy with it."
"Oh. what are you doing with it? And am I invading your privacy?"
"No you,re not. and I'm looking at some brawl hacks random people made."
"You mean like putting a new character in the game or changing the character's model?"
"Yup. Like there was this one for Shad-." She could not finish the sentence because she just saw the one thing that would make any smash bros fan squeal or look at in complete shock.
"They....they did it....."
"Did what?" Twilight asked as the lunar princess flipped the device to show Twilight what shocked her.
"The next game."
Now I'm sure you know what she's referring to if you saw it too.
