Something Tugging At Your Heartstrings...

You step inside to dead silence "Lyra...?" you hear something upstairs and the noise leads you to her bedroom door, "Lyra, you in there" you heard a small 'hmmph' and you open the door to see her sitting on her bed (the way she sits always makes you smile) she looks up and you can see tears in her eyes "you know they will not tell..." she jumps on you, knocking you to the floor "Its not that..." you are confused by her sudden impulse, but you know you must comfort her, "then what is it...you know you can talk to me" you begin to rub her mane, supposedly just a comforting move...right?

you can see her tail begin to swish back and forth..."it's...you are so kind to me...even minutes after you got here...you made me that gift...and now" she snifled "you were willing to sacrifice yourself for me..." you rub her mane a little slower "Lyra...you are someone who I know I care for, someone...I think I like...or maybe..." you shake your head, but Lyra edges you on "you...?" she has her head on your chest at this point, you can feel her heartbeat on you..."someone I...l-love..." Lyra closes her eyes "I think...I feel the same way about you..."

Despite the moment of bliss...you know one thing that will always keep you apart "Lyra...even if I love you, I am a human...and you are a..." you feel a tear, possibly your own, "I know...I know...I know..." she crawls up to your face, her muzzle only an inch from your face...

"but...Lyra Heartstrings is not somepony who gives up easy..."

You feel your mind go blank as her muzzle connects with your lips “this is...why do I care...”

you wrap your arms around her and she breaks the kiss...”well....things are just getting more and more awkward, huh?” you smile as you stare into her gold eyes...kissing her on the snout...
