Something Tugging At Your Heartstrings...

Two weeks have passed since you found yourself in Equestria, two weeks you have been in Ponyville and still only Lyra and Bon-Bon knew that you even existed...

You took a book off her shelf, you were in the middle of reading when you heard knocking at her door, Lyra was away, so you let that per-pony think no one was home...until..."hihihi" you jump and land hard on the floor in front of a pink pony "Pinkie Pie"

"what are you, some kind of animal? No wait...you're a HUM-amph!" you cover her mouth and you carefully lead her to the kitchen, you try to plead with the pony "please, please, keep this a secret...if they knew I was...what I was, Lyra would be..." he stopped and thought, how would Lyra react?

Pinkie smiled "oh ok, I understand, you got to hush, hush, ninja-like" she held her hoofs in front of her face, causing you to smirk slightly "I got ya...so..." she held out her hoof "I Pinkie Pie, promise to keep you a secret, not to tell Lyra I saw you, cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a muddy cupcake in my eye" she crossed her heart and smiled widely "there, now we have a Pinkie Promise, that makes us closer than most friends" she hugs you and jumps out the door "what just..." you coughed and went back to reading as if nothing had happened...

Lyra came back a few minutes later, "so, what you do while I was gone?" You smiled into the book "nothing really..." something, however, was itching at you, you had to ask her "Lyra...if someo-pony found out about me...what would you do?" Lyra's face went pale "does somepony!" you are taken back by her outburst "no..." you hate having to lie to her, but..."I was just wondering, I mean, there are bound to be close calls, right?" she came over to you and sat down next to you

"I know that...I...just don't want to lose you..." you put down the book "but, most people, in my world, I mean...wait...lose me...?" Lyra stared into your eyes "I know that they think I am crazy, but...if people did find you, think of the repercussions..." she put her head down and you stared at her "this whole time...she has been afraid for me...despite what people say, that she is crazy, she wants to protect me..." your next move was only one of half-consciousness, you lift Lyra's head and kiss her...you broke it as quick as you started and rushed upstairs, leaving Lyra stunned...

As you locked the guest room behind you, you think "well, that may have been the worst reaction to anything..."
