What Am I Doing Here?

I blink and shake my head in confusion.

"Where in the living hell did you come from?"

Pinkie Pie giggled again and leaned in closer to my face.

"I came from Sugar Cube Corner, silly!"

I shake my head in serious confusion.

"But...how....you....ugh. Brain are not working."

Pinkie leaned away from my face and started jumping up and down.

"Okay! Now I have to throw you a "Welcome To Ponyville" party, Mr. Alien!"

I look up at the hyperactive mare with disbelief.

"First, Mr. Alien would be my father. I'm only 15, so don't call me Mr. anything. The name is Crystal. Second, party? No thanks."

What came next shook my perception of reality. Pinkie stopped jumping in mid air and slowly descended to the ground. She had the saddest look I've ever seen on her face and her mane was now deflated.

"No...party?"

I shake my head cautiously. "No party. I hate parties. Besides, I thought only friends have parties with other friends."

Pinkie got even sadder at that. "You don't consider me a friend?"

I shook my head nervously, not expecting what she could do.

"No. I don't. We only just met, Pinkie."

Pinkie put a hoof to her chin in thought. She stands up with her mane still deflated and disappears in a poof of smoke. I turn to Rose with a creeped out look.

"What just happened?"

Rose was staring at me with shock. I wave my hand in front of her face.

"Ummm...Rose?"

She shook her head and looked back at me.

"You're only 15? You're younger then I thought. Way younger."

I laugh and scratch the back of my head.

"Sorry I forgot to mention that. Anyway, what's Pinkie doing?"

Rose shrugged. "Try and make you her friend, I guess. She's friends with everypony but you right now."

I groan and turn my laptop off. I close the lid and stow it back inside my bag.

"Don't you consider me your friend, Crystal?"

I look up at Rose. She had a disheartened face.

"Of course you're my friend. You're the only pony who wanted to actually help me. Thanks."

Rose's face was lifted and she was smiling again.

"Now, as I said before, I am hungry. What have you got to eat?"

Rose turns and walks into her kitchen.

"I have some apples, some carrots, a lot of roses, some dandelions-"

"Have you got any meat? I'm starving."

I heard a crashing noise from the kitchen and saw Rose run into the room with a worried look on her face.

"Meat!? You eat meat!?"

I nod my head slowly. "Yes? So? My kind are omnivorous, which means we eat vegetables and meat."

Rose slumped down onto the floor with a look of relief.

"Thank Celestia. I thought you were going to eat me or something."

I laughed and help her off the floor.

"Nah, too chewy."

Me and her share a good laugh. Rose was the first person I've ever met who just accepts me for me. Besides Chrysalis of course. Wonder what she needs me for? She spent an entire day asking me questions and talking with me. A knock comes from the front door. Rose stops laughing and goes over to answer the door.

"Hello?"

"Hello Rose. We would like to talk with Crystal, please."

"Sure, come on in."

I groan after realizing whose voice that was. It was that unicorn. Rarity, I think. Sure enough she, Applejack and Rainbow walk into the room. Along with the three fillies whose names I just barely remember. Scoots, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle.

"Hello, Crystal."

I wave her off and look away.

"What do you want?"

She looked insulted for a few seconds before regaining her composure.

"We, Applejack Rainbow and I, would like to apologize."

Rainbow flew up in the air.

"I'm not!"

Rarity pulls Rainbow down with her magic. And gives her a stern look. She turns to me with an expectant look.

"Do you forgive us?"

I huff and groan. "No."

All three of the mares looked insulted. I didn't care. I get up and walk over to Rainbow and kneel at her level.

"What is it you find about me that you just hate?"

Rainbow looked taken aback.

"I don't hate-"

"Then why don't you want to apologize? Do you hate me because I'm different? Do you hate me because I'm bigger?"

Rainbow was now almost curled up in a ball with a sad look on her face.

"I...I..I..."

"Do you hate me because Scoots was curious about the alien? Or...."

I smile wickedly. "Do you hate me because you're afraid of me?"

Rainbow was near the edge of tears. "I...don't hat-"

"Then why don't you wanna apologize? Do you hate my eyes? Do you hate my hair? What is it about me that you just cannot stand?!"

I slam my fist on the ground, causing everyon- everypony to jump back in fear. Rainbow was still curled up in a ball, tears were coming from her eyes. She looks up at me.

"I don't hate you."

I get back up and walk over to the couch.

"Then why do you act like you do?"

I sit on the couch and lean back in it.

"Are you trying to show that you're a tough one? Are you trying to prove something? Are you trying to fool yourself into thinking your stronger then me?"

She stays in the curled up ball, not saying a word. After a few seconds I sigh and walk over to her. She looks up at me with tears.

"You were right."

What.

She gets up and stands, shaking, and looks right into my eyes.

"I was trying to make it sound like I'm not afraid of you. If ponies thought I was afraid of an alien, they would think I was weak. I just couldn't take that."

After hearing that I threw my head back and laugh heartily.

"Oh, Christ. You're one of those ponies."

I get back up and leap onto the couch. Rainbow walks over to me with a curious look. Scoots, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle follow her over to the couch and she sat next to me.

"One of what ponies?"

I look at her and the other three fillies.

"Never mind. So, you ready to give me a proper apology?"

Rainbow nods and smiles. "I'm sorry, Crystal."

I smile and look to the fillies.

"Why are you three here?"

Scoots jumps up on my lap.

"We wanna know how you got your cutie mark!"

I give her a confused look.

"Cutie what?"

Rainbow tilts her head to the side.

"You don't know what a cutie mark is?"

I shook my head and rub Scoots mane.

"No. Human's don't have cutie marks. Oh! Are those the things on your arse?"

Rainbow shook her head. "Flank. And yeah. They represent your special talent."

I roll my eyes and look at Scoots.

"I don't have a cutie mark or a special talent."

Scoots, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle gasp.

"You should join or club!"

Rainbow facepa- hoofs? Rainbow facehoofed and Rarity sighed. Applejack walks up behind Applebloom and looks at me.

"I'm sorry, sugar cube. Jus' ignore them. Applebloom, he jus' said humans don' get cutie marks."

Applebloom gives me the saddest look ever.

"Then how do ya know what your talent is?"

I sigh and shrug. "We don't have set talents where I'm from. You kinda have to make your talent by studying and learning how to do it right."

Scoots laughed. "Sounds like your world would be perfect for Twilight. She's such an egghead."

I laugh and stand up, making Scoots fall off my lap.

"Thanks for the apology, girls. But Rose, I'm still hungry."

Rose gasped and ran back into the kitchen. I turn to the girls as they were leaving.

"Do you girls know a mare called Pinkie Pie?"

All of them turn to me and nod.

"Yeah! Pinkie is friends with everypony!"

I nod back and wave a hand.

"Later, girls."

They wave back and leave the threshold. Rose comes back with an apple for me. I thank her and take a bite. It tasted amazing!

"Rose, what did you put in this apple? You didn't drug me, did ya?"

Rose laughed and sat on the couch next to me.

"No, it's from AJ's farm. The Apple Family sell the best apples in Equestria."

When she said Equestria, I remember Chrysalis telling me that she would take me to a place called Equestria. Wow. She actually did take me to her world.

The only big question left was why she took me here.

-----Somewhere In The Everfree Forest-----

Deep within the dangerous forest was the Changeling Hive. Chrysalis sat in a very large throne inside a room that resembled the throne room of Princess Celestia. Chrysalis had just gotten informed that Crystal wishes to meet her. She was also told that Crystal is being held against his will in Ponyville by Twilight Sparkle. She gets up from her throne and wanders into a room adjacent to the throne. She steadily walks in and see's three very old Changelings huddled around a cauldron. One of them bows to Chrysalis.

"Ah, my Queen. To what do we owe the pleasure?"

Chrysalis cleared her throat.

"I have sent Crystal to Equestria and he landed off target. He was meant to arrive here with me. Are you sure you're right about him?"

The Changeling nodded and looked into the cauldron.

"He shall be the one that will truly love you, feeding you and the hive for the rest of his life."

Chrysalis nodded. "Okay, then. But, I have hit a sort of...speed bump."

The three Changelings looked up to their queen in curiosity. Chrysalis sighs and lowers her head.

"I have fallen for him. I spent an entire day with him, and around me he acted nice. Towards others he didn't act so much in kind."

Chrysalis raised her head. "He's the only one who has acted like that towards me besides my subjects, but they're expected to. He wasn't. I felt...happy around him."

The three Changelings smiled.

"This is a problem?"

Chrysalis nodded. "Yes. I did not plan on falling for him!"

She stomped her hooves on the ground in frustration.

"And now that Twilight Sparkle has him! She won't let him go any time soon, either!"

The Changelings looked confused.

"Not to be rude, my queen, but you're a Changeling."

Chrysalis looks at them like they were idiots for a moment, before she realized what they were saying.

-----Rose's House-----

Crystal was playing Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter on his DSi while Rose was talking to Rarity in the kitchen. Crystal couldn't hear them.

"Rarity, I need you to make a mattress for Crystal, please. The only reason I'm asking you is because they don't sell them anywhere near his size, so I wanted to ask you to make his custom sized. I can pay good money for it!"

Rarity raised a hoof to Rose.

"I accept the job, but I don't want payment. This is for Crystal. I can't stand to think that he would be sleeping on that couch forever."

Rose had to stop herself from leaping over the table and grabbing Rarity in a tight hug.

"Thank you, Rarity! You have no idea how much I appreciate that!"

Rarity smiles and leans in towards Rose.

"Have you found anything out about him? Is he a nice person? Besides what I saw him do to Rainbow, of course. But she needed that."

Rose nodded and rested her head on her hooves.

"He's 15 and likes to play with his devices a lot. That's all I know about him, Rarity."

Rarity gasped and looked shocked. "He's only 15? Wow. I don't think I want to see him fully grown!"

The mares share a laugh and a knock comes from the front door. Rose gets up and walks through the kitchen and past Crystal, who looked like he was struggling in his game, to the door. She opened the door to reveal a black coated unicorn with a green mane.

"Hello, my name is Chrissy. Can I see Crystal?"

Rose gave her a suspicious look before nodding her head. She turned her head slightly, not taking her eyes off the pony at the door.

"Oh, Crystal?!"

"Yeah?"

"Somepony is here to see you!"

"Tell em I'm busy! Oh god, fuck you Wilfre!"

Rose giggled slightly at his outburst and looked to Chrissy.

"I'm sorry, but he is busy right now."

Chrissy growled and shouted past Rose.

"Crystal it's me, Chrissy!"

There was a loud crashing noise and Crystal appeared behind Rose with a smile.

"Chrysalis! You have no idea how-"

"Chrysalis?!"

The Changeling and the human look at Rose nervously.

"I didn't mean-"

Rose slammed the door in Chrysalis' face and gave Crystal a sad look.

"She might be dangerous, Crystal!"

"What's going on here?"

Rarity walked in from the kitchen and was now behind Crystal.

"What's going on?"

Rose pointed at Rarity.

"Keep an eye on Crystal for me. Chrysalis is trying to get to him. I need to tell Twilight!"

Rarity nodded and pointed at the couch.

"Get onto that couch, now!"

Rose exited the house and ran towards the Library of Twilight Sparkle. It took her a moment to figure out that Chrysalis wasn't at the house any more, but she didn't care. She ran into the library and saw Twilight giving Spike a scroll. Rose knew that she must be sending a letter to the Princess, so she ignored it.

"Twilight, Chrysalis is running around town trying to get to Crystal!"

Twilight looked scared for a few seconds before sighing.

"Then I'm glad that I just sent a letter to the princess about Crystal. She will respond-"

Spike just burped up a scroll the moment Twilight said Crystal's name. She picked it up with her magic and read it out loud.

"To my faithful student Twilight,

If she is after Crystal, we must stop her from getting to him.

What does trouble me is why she is after him. We will find out soon enough.

But for now, protect Crystal from Chrysalis.

I'm counting on you.

From your teacher, Princess Celestia."

Twilight lowered the scroll and looked at Rose.

"Where is he?"

"At my house with Rarity. She said she would look after him while I was gone."

Twilight nodded and walked to the door of the library.

"Let's go!"

When the two ponies got to the house, they saw the door was ajar. They turned to each other with sad faces. They sneaked inside the house and saw Rarity was knocked out and on the floor. Chrysalis was talking to Crystal, who was sitting on the floor next to Rarity, brushing her mane with his fingers.

-----1st Person-----

I was brushing Rarity's mane after Chrysalis had knocked her out.

"You didn't have to do that."

Chrysalis nodded. "I'm sorry."

I look up at her and laugh. "So this is what you look like, huh? You look cool."

Chrysalis smiled at me. I looked down at Rarity.

"So, when are you going to take me home?"

"Never."

I froze for a second and look back up at her.

"What?"

"The reason I brought you here was so you could feed my hive."

I looked terrified. "What? Look, I don't have much meat on my bones!"

Chrysalis sighed. "No. My hive feeds off love. The Prophets of Old told me that you were the one who would feed my hive for the rest of your natural life."

I was relieved, but confused.

"Who would I love? I don't love anyone. I might like Rose a lot, but I'm not in love with her."

Chrysalis took a breath and was about to respond, before a blast of magic shot her. She fell over, knocked out, while Rose and Twilight walked into the room. Rose ran over to me and gave me a hug.

"Oh thank goodness you're alright!"

I smile and pat her back. "Why wouldn't I be?"

Twilight walked over to Chrysalis and picked her up in a magical field.

"I'll report Chrysalis to Princess Celestia. You okay, Crystal?"

I nod faintly. "Sure, sure...."

I frown and look at Rose.

"She said she would never send me home."

Rose frowned and one arm hugged me. I feel something underneath my touch move and saw Rarity sit up and look around.

"What happened?"

I shrugged. "Chrysalis knocked you out."

Rarity gasped and stood up. "I'm sorry, Rose! I failed keeping Crystal safe!"

Rose smiled and rested a hoof on Rarity's shoulder.

"Don't worry, Rarity. He's safe for now. Chrysalis can't hurt him."

"I think she won't hurt him, actually."

I look at Twilight with a confused look.

"Why not?"

Twilight raised a hoof.

"I'll find out when she is conscious."

Twilight walks out the door with a knocked out queen following behind her. Rarity stands up and heads for the door.

"I best be off. Good bye, Crystal and Rose."

I nod and waved to Rarity as she left. I looked to Rose and smiled.

"When you said this is my new home I hope you meant it because I ain't leaving soon."
