What Am I Doing Here?

When the bright light filled my vision, I was blinded for a moment. When the light faded away and I could see, I found that I was on a grassy hill out in the middle of nowhere. I tried to take in my surroundings, and found a small village just down the hill. I decided that I should go down there and find a phone or something. So I began walking down the hill and towards the village.

Many thoughts raced through my head.

'Where am I? How did I get here? What am I doing here?'

The last thing I remember was Chrissy saying her actual name was Chrysalis. And then she said she would take me to her world. Wait a minute. Did she succeed?

I stopped for a brief moment, then laughed at myself.

Nah. She couldn't have. There is no such thing as another world. As I reach the village I noticed that there is a vast quantity of....

Ponies?

Okay, this is weird. Maybe they're pets. As I walk through the village, all of the ponies stop what they were doing and look directly at me. That's when I noticed. These ponies were not pets. They had market stalls and they were all actually in a conversation seconds before I walked into the village. With all their eyes on me, I nervously raised my hand.

"Ummm...Hi?"

One pony pointed at me and screamed.

"The monster talks! Everypony run!"

'Holy living shit they talk. Chrissy really did send me to another world. Her world.....'

The entire town was thrown into utter chaos. Ponies were running around trying to escape the "monster" before he eats them. I roll my eyes and turn around to leave the town. I've had enough. If they won't help me, then fine. I'll find my way home on my own. As I walked away, I noticed that all the screaming had stopped. I turn around and see that the town once again had all eyes on me. One pale yellow coated pony with a red mane stepped towards me.

"You're....not going to hurt us?"

I scoff and laugh. "No. Why would I? You haven't hurt me, so I don't hurt you. One of my rules. Now if none of you will help me, then I'll be on my way."

As I turn, my arm was pulled back. I look behind me to see the same pony from before looking up at me with happy eyes.

"Wait! I'll help you! My name is Roseluck! What do you need?"

She let go of my hand and I turned back around. I look to the crowd and saw something that creeped me out.

A mint green coated unicorn with a lighter shade green mane was giving me the creepiest look I could ever see. She leaped out of the crowd and in front of me. She pointed a hoof directly at me and looked to the crowd.

"I told you! Humans do exist! He's a human!"

I raise an eyebrow at the mare and gesture to my body.

"Yeah, I'm human. So?"

She turned to me with the same crazed look.

"See! He admits it!"

I face palm. Roseluck tugs on my hoodie and smiles.

"What do you need help with...."

"Crystal."

"What do you need help with Crystal?"

I rub the back of my head nervously.

"I'm looking for someone. You might know her? Her name is Chrysalis."

"What!?"

I turned to the new voice and saw a purple unicorn with a slightly darker purple mane running towards me. When she stopped in front of me, next to Lyra who was still staring at me, she gave me an angry look.

"Why do you need to see Chrysalis?"

I shrugged. "She sent me to your world. I just wanna go home."

The unicorn shook her head.

"None of us know where she is. She was banished from Equestria months ago. She could be anywhere."

I groaned for the millionth time. "Fine. Can you send me home?"

A small grumble came from my gut. My eyes widened.

"And fast. I'm  hungry."

The mare gave me a strange look.

"So? Eat something here. And I'm sorry."

She looks down in sadness. I give her a curious look.

"What?"

She looks back up.

"I can't send you home. I don't know the spell. You're stuck here until you can find Chrysalis and make her send you home."

I took a moment to register what she just said in my brain before moaning and holding my head.

"No way. I want to go home!"

I kneel down in the dirt and punch the ground.

"I want to see my dad again! I know he's an arsehole, but he's still my father!"

I punch the ground again, tears were coming from my eyes. I felt some pressure on my shoulder. I look up to see Roseluck looking at me with a pitiful look and a hoof on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, Crystal."

I sigh and pat her hoof. She pulls her hoof away and I stand up. I look over the crowd of ponies with tears in my eyes. They all look sad. For me? Three small fillies walk up from inside the crowd and up to me. They looked more curious then sad for me. The yellow one walked around me in circles.

"What type of monster are ya? Ya don't look like ya came from the Everfree."

The orange one nodded.

"Yeah! You look like an alien more then a monster!"

I rolled my eyes. "Technically, I am an alien."

All three of the fillies "Ooohed". The white one started tugging on my hoodie.

"What's this? Is this your coat?"

I laugh and roll my sleeve up.

"No. It's my jacket. This is my skin."

They all "Ooohed" again and started touching my skin. It felt kinda weird, but they were just curious.

"Applebloom!"

"Sweetie Belle!"

"Scoots!"

I looked over to the new voices. Three mares, one normal, one unicorn and the other....winged? Okay, this place has flying ponies. Seems legit. All three run up to the fillies and pull them back.

"Applebloom, don' talk to tha monsters!"

"Sweetie Belle, don't go anywhere near the thing!"

The winged one flew right up to my face with anger in her eyes.

"Don't come anywhere near Scoots again, you monster!"

A purple glow surrounded the winged one that was up in my face. It looked like she was being pulled away from me towards the purple unicorn.

"Rainbow! It's not a monster! He's an alien!"

Rainbow folded her forelegs. It almost made me laugh at the sight. They were trying to imitate human expression?

"How do you know he's an alien? Can he talk?"

"Actually, yeah. I can. My name is Crystal."

All of the mares look at me. I look down at Roseluck.

"If this is how I'm going to be treated, I'm going to find Chrysalis on my own."

I tried to turn and leave, but Roseluck holds me back.

"Ignore them! Please stay! Please, I never like leaving ponies helpless."

I look back down to her to see the sadness in her face. I pinch the bridge of my nose and sigh.

"Alright. Fine."

She lets go of me and I turn to face the crowd.

"Does anyone know any information about a pony named Chrysalis!?"

Rainbow tried struggling out of the unicorns....magic? Sure. Magic.

"See? If he wants to see Chrysalis, he HAS to be bad!"

I roll my eyes and look to Rainbow.

"Look! She sent me here, all I wanna do is ask her to send me back!"

She rolled her eyes as well. "Well, good luck finding her. And by the way, she isn't a pony. She's a-"

"Changelings!"

Rainbow gestured to Roseluck and nodded.

"Yeah a Changeling."

Roseluck shook her head and pointed behind me.

"No! Changelings! Coming from over there!"

I turned and looked where Roseluck was pointing. Everyone gasped, including me. A giant concentration of what looked to be black ponies were flying towards the town. The all landed around the crowd, blocking all exits. The purple unicorn shook her had and gave the Changelings a glare.

"What do you want!?"

One of the Changelings stepped forward towards me. He knelt down before me.

"Queen Chrysalis wishes to meet you, Crystal."

He got my attention at the mention of Chrysalis. I looked down to Roseluck and smiled.

"Found her. You don't need to help me now."

Roseluck half hearted a smile. I looked to the crowd and bowed.

"Thanks for the absolute horrible hospitality! I bid you a good bye!"

I sprang back up with a large smile on my face. I turn to the Changeling.

"Take me to her."

He nodded and turned and began walking. I was about to follow, before I felt a tug on my sleeve. I looked behind me and saw the purple unicorn holding me with her magic and giving me a dark look.

"What ever Chrysalis needs you for, it cannot be good for us. You might be used as a type of weapon against us! You're not leaving Ponyville!"

I try and pry her magic away but fail.

"Let me go! I want to go home!"

Roseluck and Lyra give me sad looks. The ponies from before, including Rainbow, all walk around me and form a sort of perimeter around me, preventing escape. The unicorn looked up at me with a sad look.

"I'm sorry, but it has to be this way. My name is Twilight Sparkle. This is Applejack and Rarity."

I scoffed and she let go of my sleeve. I give her a dirty look. The Changeling from before saw that I was being held back. I didn't bother trying to do something stupid to escape. I didn't understand how magic works, so I didn't wanna risk it. The Changeling stepped towards me.

"Our Queen wishes to see him, Sparkle. You can't hold him back! He's a giant compared to all of you! He'll crush you!"

Roseluck shook her head. "No he won't! He said it was one of his rules to not hurt people who haven't hurt him!"

The Changeling growled and looked to me.

"Do you wish to see our Queen?"

I nod. "Yes. Can you help me?"

The Changeling frowned.

"Unfortunately, we have strict orders to not engage in any form of combat. Do not worry, we will return for you. I shall tell the Queen that you wish to meet her."

The Changelings all turn around and fly high up in the sky. I groan and glare at Twilight.

"You stopped my only chance of leaving this place!"

Twilight gave me a curious look.

"What's so bad about this place?"

I huff and point to each of the ponies surrounding me.

"These ponies here!!!"

When they were mentioned they moved away from me and turn to face me. Applejack...I think that one is Applejack. She stepped forward with a look of curiosity.

"Wha's so bad about us?"

I huffed once again and got on my hands and knees and did an imitation of a mares voice.

"Stay away from that monster! He'll bloody kill you!"

The 3 mares, even Rainbow, looked down in sadness. I huffed and turned around.

"I'm going to find a place to stay."

I felt two tugs on either side of my body. I look down and saw that Lyra was on my right and Roseluck was on my left.

"I'll let you sleep at my place! You can stay with me!"

I looked to Lyra and saw that she was just examining my hands. I pulled away from Lyra and nodded to Roseluck.

"Okay. Lead the way, Roseluck."

Rose nodded and blushed. "My friends call me Rose."

I smile and wave a hand.

"Lead the way, Rose."

Rose smiled and walked towards her house. I followed next to her. It took me this long to realize something. I reach behind me and smiled.

"My bag! Yes!"

I reach back and pull it off. I unzip the front pocket and pull out my DSi.

"Aw yeah. This gunna be great!"

I fist pump the air and throw my bag back on. I flip open my DSi and start it up. This time I was playing Professor Layton and The Lost Future. Rose stared at my device with interest. I glanced at her and waved the device.

"It's called a DSi. And no, you can't play it without fingers."

"What's a finger?"

I sigh and hold my DSi with one hand, wiggling the fingers on the other.

"These are fingers."

Rose did the "Oh right" face and continued walking. We reached her house and walked inside. I thought the place looked rather nice. I looked down at Rose who was smiling at me.

"What do you think?"

I walk around and examine stuff lying about.

"It's not home, but its good...."

I slumped down into a squatting position.

"Home...."

Rose rested her hoof on my shoulder and smiled.

"Well, this can be your new home!"

I smiled and rest my hand on her hoof.

"Thanks, Rose."

She smiled and I stood up.

"So, where's my bed?"

She sheepishly pointed to the couch.

"I'm sorry, Crystal. I'll get Rarity to make you a bed suitable for your size but for this night, it's the couch."

I laughed and walked over to my one-night bed.

"At least it isn't a dungeon or anything, right?"

Rose giggled. "That's good. I'm going to get to work on in my greenhouse. You okay sitting here by your lonesome?"

I nodded. "Sure. I got my DSi and my laptop to entertain me."

Rose smiled and headed out the back door. I sit on the couch and begun solving puzzles like a pro. After a few minutes I got bored and decided to listen to some tunes on my laptop. I crack it open and start it up. I go into my iTunes and play one of my favourite songs.

I look up and saw the last thing i wanted to see. Rose was watching me sing the song the entire time. She was smiling.

'Why is she smiling?'

"Your voice is amazing!"

I nervously scratch the back of my head.

"Nah. Don't praise me. Praise the man who wrote it. Andrew WK. The Party King!"

"Did somepony say 'Party'!?"

I recoil back at the sudden appearance of a pink mare.

"Wheredidyoucomefrom?!"

The mare giggled and leaned towards me.

"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
