What Am I Doing Here?

I scratch my head and look back at Chrysalis. Why did she bring me to the future?

"Okay. Thanks for showing me the future. Can you take me back to 2013 now please?"

Chrysalis looked down at me in sadness.

"I cannot travel through time."

I gave her a confused look.

"Then how did you bring me here?"

Chrysalis walked down the hill and towards me. I heard the sand crunch under her hoofs.

"This is the present. I didn't have to travel through time to get here."

I took a good few seconds to let that sink in. I slowly shook my head in disagreement.

"No. The present is 2013, not 5476!"

Chrysalis shook her head in sadness.

"I am so sorry."

Twilight slid down the hill and towards us.

"I don't understand. How can this be the present!? It was 2013 a day ago!"

Chrysalis wrapped a foreleg around my shoulders and sighed.

"Time flux."

My eyes widen in realization.

"Time is different between the two worlds?"

Chrysalis nods slowly. "One minute in Equestria could be any amount of time between one day or one thousand years here on Earth."

I shook my head in disbelief and pushed her foreleg off my shoulder.

"So what you're saying is that not even a fraction of a second has passed in Equestria the entire time we've been here, but if we go to Equestria right now and come back here it could be fifty years into the future."

"In short, yes."

I walk a few feet and turn back around. The wind was blowing from behind me, so my shaggy hair was waving in the wind.

"Then how did you magically get to my time period and find me?!"

Chrysalis stepped towards me and held a hoof out to me. "The Prophets told me the exact time and day to come to Earth and find you. It wasn't random or magical. It was fate."

I look down at the sand below my feet, then out towards the direction the wind was blowing.

"What happened?"

Twilight's horn glowed and she closed her eyes.

"I'm examining the atmosphere. There's a dangerous amount of nuclear energy in the atmosphere... I think your measure for it is 'radioactivity?'."

I sigh and nodded my head. "I just knew it."

I turned around and walked towards Chrysalis and Twilight, who was looking around in amazement. Chrysalis was looking at me expectantly.

"Nuclear warfare. One side attacked another. The other retaliated. We shouldn't stay here long. Especially me. Radioactivity kills humans. Not so sure about magical ponies, though."

Chrysalis nodded and closed her eyes. Her horn glowed and the same light filled my eyes. The light cleared and we were back in the library. I look up at Chrysalis.

"Human's are a stupid race, I will admit."

Chrysalis looked down at me in sadness.

"I am sorry. I didn't think it through when I sent you here."

I sighed and patted her on the back.

"Nah, don't worry. Sorry won't fix my planet and neither will getting angry at you."

She looked back at me with happiness. I smile a tiny bit before pulling my arm away and clapping my hands together.

"Right, so Twilight. I need to know, can you charge my laptop magically?"

I know what you're thinking. How could I get over the fact that Earth and humanity are doomed so quickly? Well, I'm not over it. I may have had no friends and my father was my only family, but I dearly missed the great things about humanity. DeadMau5, The Internet, Hot Dogs, Nintendo, Square Enix and most importantly, Coca Cola. I loved the great things that spawned from humanity.

So yeah, while I was distracting you with all that information Twilight gave my devices infinite power and Chrysalis was placed back in restraints until Celestia came.

Speaking of Celestia, I kinda wanna meet her. Twilight mentioned that she had a sister named Luna. What I'm looking forward to is meeting them and being disrespectful. Technically, I'm not an Equestrian citizen. So that'll be fun to do. Mwhahaha.

Anyway, while I was distracting you with that piece of information as well, I had exited the library and sat down in the tree in the park, waiting for Applebloom, Scoots and Sweetie Belle to some by and watch the episode of Doctor Who we were up to. What I got instead was Rainbow, Rarity and AJ. I nodded my head towards the mares.

"G'day."

Rarity shook her head and held a hoof out.

"We need to talk."

My face slumped into a look of disappointment.

"Lemme guess. The three fillies told you about the things I said? Please don't tell me they said fuck, because I hold no responsibility to that."

AJ rested her hoof on my shoulder. The three mares didn't look mad. They looked sad. Almost sympathetic.

"Listen, sugar cube. Applebloom told me wha' ya told her about suicide."

Oh crap.

"Please don't tell me she tried doing it? Because honestly, I told them not to!"

AJ shook her head and took her hat off.

"No. She told me tha' ya said ya tried doin' it once or twice."

I was so happy she didn't say fuck and kill herself. I waved a hand and opened my laptop.

"That's in the very very very distant past."

Rarity used her magic to slam my laptop shut.

"We need to talk about this."

I sighed and cracked it back open again.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

AJ slammed my laptop shut.

"No. We wanna talk about it."

I reopen my laptop.

"I don't wanna talk about it!"

Rainbow flew forward and slammed my laptop shut. I gave her a deadpan look.

"You're seriously breaking my shit here."

"Scoots seemed worried about you, so I promised to get out why you did it!"

I sighed and nodded in defeat.

"Okay. Okay. Fine."

The three mares all sat in front of me. I sighed and looked at them.

"I thought I was useless to the world and how it was developing, so I cut my wrists and lied down in the bath tub."

"Why did you cut your wrists? Thats not so bad."

I looked at Rainbow and held a wrist up to her. The scar was still there but that wasn't what I was pointing out.

"There is a major vein or artery underneath the skin here. I forgot which. But I could've died from blood loss."

The mares gasp and I nod.

"Yeah. I look back now and see how stupid I was. If my dad didn't wanna take a bath I'd probably be dead now."

AJ stood up first, then Rarity and finally Rainbow.

"Thank ya, Crystal. We're sorry fer stirrin' bad memories."

I wave a hand and nod.

"It's fine. Now, can those three cute fillies please come out from behind the corner over there!?"

Three small heads pop out from behind the corner wall of the building the tree was out in front of. The three fillies walk up to me with sad looks.

"How did ya know?"

I laugh and pointed at my head.

"I'm smart. Now, who is ready for some Doctor Who!?"

As I said "Doctor Who" I rise to my feet and raise a fist to the sky. The three small fillies jump up and down.

"Yeah!"

I sit back down in time to see the three mares walking off with smiles on their faces. I smile as well. Applebloom climbs on top of me and taps my forehead.

"We wanna see the Doctor save all of reality!"

I chuckle and crack my laptop open as Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo sit next to me. And if you're wondering, yes. I did think Scootaloo's actual name was just Scoots until somepony told me. Hey, don't call me stupid. I'm the last of my kind. The legacy of the human race. As I play the episode, the fillies smile and laugh. I dunno what it is about these three, but seeing them happy makes me happy as well.

-----Sometime Later-----

As I close the lid the and the Doctor saves all of reality, the fillies cheer him on. That time travelling genius is my hero. I wish that I could have a TARDIS. Then I could go back to 2013...

Wait a minute.

If I ask myself where I'd rather be, I'd say here. I love these fillies like they were my own daughters and I wasn't about to leave them. Not to mention Rose would kill me if I left. Heh.

So, now I have admitted to liking Equestria and not having a need to return to Earth. I feel happy now. Like I have discovered my destiny or something mystical like that. Still, I'd like to know why Chrysalis brought me here. She didn't finish telling me that when I saw her at Rose's house. That reminded me. Gotta write something down in my journal. Hang on a bit.

Ask Rose to show me where Rarity lives and ask about clothing

Alright. Where was I? Oh right. Chrysalis didn't finish telling me why I was brought here. So, while you were reading all of that I sent the girls home and headed for Twilight's to talk to Chrysalis.

As I enter I see Twilight reading a book on the floor. I wave to her and she doesn't see me. I take this opportunity and sneak by her and down to where Chrysalis was being held. I see her on a metal table with restraints around her legs. She looks up at me and I hold two fingers to my mouth, silencing her. I sneak down and sit on the stool next to her. We stare at each other for a few seconds.

"Why did you bring me here?"

She sighed and looked away.

"I needed you to help feed my hive."

"How would I do that?"

"My hive feeds on love."

"Well, I don't love anyone right at the moment. Although, Rose is looking kinda interesting."

She snaps her head towards me with a look of sadness.

"The Prophets told me that you would love me and feed my hive!"

I shake my head.

"Me and you might be friends, sure. But love you? I don't know that much about you."

I lean over and unlock her restraints. She looks up at me, confused.

"Now we can talk like friends instead of prisoner and guard."

She smiles and sits up.

"So, tell me about yourself. If they said I could love you, then let's see how good they are at predictions."

She nods and takes a breath.

"I was born over 100 years ago..."

-----Sometime Later-----

"After Cadance and Shining Armour hurled me and my hive from Equestria, I snuck into the Everfree Forest. We have taken refuge there since. I've been waiting for the day to come when I would meet you finally."

I nodded. She had a really rough life. I stood up and looked behind me.

"I know you're there. Come out."

Chrysalis looked shocked when she heard a groan then saw Twilight come down along with a pegasu- no wait she had a horn as well....

What the fuck?

When they reached the bottom, I pointed to the pega-horn thingy.

"What's this, Twilight? Science experiment gone wrong?"

Twilight gasped, Chrysalis laughed and the pega-horn bowed it's head.

"I am Princess Celestia."
