Twilight Sparkle wrote on her scroll after a wondrous adventure with her beloved friends, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie.
“I learned that...”
Her ink feather moved quickly as if she recited the lesson and memorized every word. The library was well-lit; you could clearly see all her shelves of books of different colors, genres and authors, from almanacs and encyclopedias to fiction and fantasies. It was your average, sunny, merry evening in the town of Ponyville. As Twilight put the finishing touches on her lesson, she slowly descended into sleepiness.
“Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.”
She, using her magic, rolled up the paper and gave it to Spike, who was sitting at the main library, reading a romance book, replacing the two main characters with him and Rarity, respectively.
“Spike!” Twilight said as she walked to him. He immediately blew his green fire into the scroll, making it vanish into it and letting it flow out the window.
“Hey Twilight,” Spike asked her as he walked up the stairs. Twilight followed.
“Yeah?”
“What do you think would happen if you learned... everything about the magic of friendship?”
Twilight stopped walking and wondered.
“Hmm. I've never thought of it. I guess I’ll graduate her class.” She continued to walk. “That is my goal, anyway.”
Spike didn't say anything, as if he wasn’t listening. He just walked upstairs and went on his cozy bed.
“Hey Spike.” Twilight said on her bed. “I wonder what life would be like if I wasn’t Princess Celestia’s apprentice.”
Spike was already asleep. Twilight did the same.
Twilight wasn’t the only pony that was this talented. She was just the pony of the utmost talent, and the utmost behavior. Unicorn magic wasn’t something that you could just read and then automatically master it in a short span of time. Magic is an art. A disciplined art. One can easily let this art get into their heads, leading them to misuse it. Some have learnt their lessons. Some had different opinions on the situations. Twilight’s magic was first uncontrollable, then tamed. Some ponies’ magic skills are tamed, but still uncontrollable. One pony could go through the harshest of times, just for their own goal. Some ponies, with a good heart, can accomplish the greatest feats and soar through the air. But some buzz around, unnoticed and even taken for granted. No, it was not all peachy Sunshine in this country of Equestria. But a Sunset.
