Echo Dash I
Family Fun Day!
Previous ChapterIt had been a long day and tiring day. Rainbow and Fluttershy were teaching Echo how to fly. Rainbow taught him Ariel tricks like corkscrews and barrel rolls, while Fluttershy taught him to glide and hover. He had learnt them quite easily, but then what do you expect, he's learning from the captain of the Wonderbolts and two of the elements of harmony.
"Good job kiddo!" Rainbow hollered.
"Thanks mommy!" Echo smiled back to Rainbow "What else can you teach me?"
"That's enough for one week," Rainbow exclaimed "Now get ready for supper."
"Echos getting very good at flying." Fluttershy commented "He might just follow your hoof steps and become a wonderbolt!"
"Thanks Flutters," Rainbow smirked "Well I better go inside, see you tommorow."
"Goodbye!" Fluttershy gently hovered down to the ground and trotted off to her cottage.
Rainbow went inside the house. She had started some soup before they went out to fly. It was probably done now.
"Tomato soup?" Echo came running down the stairs.
"Yeah," Rainbow got two bowls out and set them on the table.
"Thanks mommy," echo smilled and began to eat his soup.
"I'm feeling tired," Rainbow got up "You should get to bed."
Echo nodded. He just had to finish his soup before heading up. When he did finishe, he ran into the bathroom followed by Rainbow. They brushed their teeth and hair (in Rainbows case fur) and headed off to bed.
His room had a few more posters added to it. Each one signed by his mom, Scootaloo and Soarin; the three Wonderbolts that were in charge. His mom gave them to him. Just as they were, they were worth almost 300 bits each. And every year they are worth ten bits more. Rainbow gave them to him saying if he's in any financial trouble he could just sell them to get back on his feet.
Echo climbed into bed. Even though using his jetpack did not take any of his body energy to fly it still had tired him out. He fell asleep almost instantly.
Sadly, just as soon as his slumber started, it had ended. Echo woke up to his mother tickling him with her feathers. She always did that on the weekends. This weekend he had Monday off and so did his mother. They planned all sorts of fun stuff to do.
"Hay kiddo! How about I take you to the weather factory?" Rainbow asked.
"Yeah! Lets go!" Echo jumped out of bed, unable to contain his excitement.
"Cool. We'll grab a bite to eat in Cloudsdale," Rainbow exclaimed.
Echo grabbed his jetpack and followed his mother outside. It was a beutiful day and there wasn't a cloud in the sky (except their house). Echo had always wanted to go to Cloudsdale but the last time his mother went was because Queen Chrysalis tried to take over the city.
Echo and his mother stopped for some food at a Sugur Cube Corner Restruant (the cakes had turned it into a successful franchise). Him and his mother had pancakes. They were delicious, as they always were at the restruant managed by his aunt Pinkie.
They resumed there tour of the city. It was amazing. Rainbow showed Echo where she went to school as a filly and the Ophangae she grew up in. She showed him where Fluttershy's parents lived and where Rainbow and Fluttershy would play as fillies.
"How about we go see the weather factory?" Rainbow looked towards Echo
"Okay!" Echo smiled the whole way there
The weather factory was amazing. Echo had always wanted to visit. He could tell his mother was also having a blast. It was so amazing. Rainbow was the happiest she had ever been, not because she was back in her hometown but because her son was happy.
They sat down to have ice cream afterwards. Echo had strawberry ice cream and his mother got Rainbow Twirl, an icecream named after a move she did at a wonderbolts show.
"Mommy, Thank you so much for today, I had a blast!" Echo looked at his mother.
"Im glad you liked it." Rainbow smiled, stealing a bit of Echo's icecream.
"Hey!" Echo took a bite of his mothers. They ended up playfighting over each others icecream and laughing.
Echo and Rainbow got back to their city wide tour. They had visited many very cool and interesting places. Echo even got to see some other wonderbolts. Rainbow took Echo to the lounge where the wonderbolts hungout after practise
"Hay! Echo wazzup! I havent seen you since hearths warming eve!" shouted a voice from the end of the Wonderbotlz lounge.
"Auntie Scootaloo!" Echo shouted running towards the purple maned pony. Scootaloo lived in cloudsdale Since it was the weekend and she wasn't performing she wasn't wearing her usual uniform, instead she had a blue sweater with a big yellow W on the front.
Scootaloo was a very inspiring pony to many young ponies. Her wings had never developed properly and she was told she would never be able to fly. But after becoming an aerodynamic engineer at the flight college in Cloudsdale she built and designed prosthetics and is now a Wonderbolt.
"Now for the last thing on the list," Rainbow Exclaimed "Cloud Napping Rainbow had never got to do such a thing since she joined the Wonderbolts.
After finding a suitable cloud, Rainbow curled up in a ball. She was hugging Echo tight with her forelegs wile using her wings as a blanket. They stayed there until sunset.
"How are we going to get home?" Echo asked.
"Will fly there," Rainbow explained "Without getting up."
Echo gave her a confused look. "I'll show ya." Rainbow kicked the cloud away from the surrounding ones. It gradually floated in the direction of ponyville. Within a matter of minutes they floated through the window of their house and landed on Rainbows bed. They laid there. Echos was severly tired out by his fun day with his mother. It was a blast. He just wished the day could last forever. But as tired as Echo was, that wasnt happening. He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
