last resort: the guard

“Why did they bring us here Fluttershy?” rainbow dash asked in confusion as she sat on the small cot that was assigned to her, by one of the guards. “I mean rilly, we didn’t do anything to these people. so why did they bring up here?”

“Maybe they were scared of us” said Fluttershy as she tried very hard to piece everything together “I don’t rilly know, but I bet they have a good reason”

“Ok, than explain why applejack was put in a different room with those other ponys that none of us know, and we were left in here?” said dash in a relatively good amount of interest

“Well the guard said that there are only three to a room. Although he did say that after the other guard had to shoot you with a tranquillizer dart.” Uttered Fluttershy as she tried to explain obvious past events.

“Why didn’t he shoot you!?” yelled rainbow dash who still had no idea what happened

“Um, because I just stood there and let him pick me up and carry me here. While you were asleep. I was snug as a bug in a rug in that man’s arms.”

Fluttershy was now enjoying the conversation with her knowledge deprived friend

As Fluttershy explained more about what happened to them, they heard the iron doors lock, rotating as it opened.

“It looks like you two are getting a new friend to play with, and you’re going to need to give up the extra cot.” Said the guard as a large black and red pony was brought in asleep by an armed solder.

The solder dropped the colt on his cot and left the room still pointing his gun at him

“Hello there, im Fluttershy” trying to give a warm welcome to the pony covered in his own blood

“And im rainbow dash” also trying to lighten the mood for the obviously hurting colt

“H-hello… my name is, fire light” the blood covered colt said, to let the two mares know that he was not dead

“What happened to you?” asked rainbow dash. You look like you have fallen of a cliff

“Actually I have been stabbed; shot, tossed, and I did fall of a cliff. So can you please tear the bandages of my wings?

As rainbow dash did so she saw that his wings were metal

“O my Celestia! What in equestria happened to you!?” yelled rainbow as she was frightened by the metal that was never meant to be on a ponys wings

“My, um, original wigs, they were ripped off by some crazy earth pony who was trying to stab me to death. So I built these metal wings to use instead, and I can still fly and fight.

As fire light sead his response to dash and Fluttershy, he passed out on the bed. Soon after, his bleeding stopped, and he was just sleeping.

After about an hour Fluttershy had so see if the rest of him was ok.(you know the usual pony stuff)  So she pulled off his sheets, revealing his iron legs and hooves.

“Ahh. Rainbow, come look.” Fluttershy said in fear

“O my Celestia. What happened to him? He has metal wings and iron covering his legs flanks and hooves. I don’t think that can even happen to a pony. We will need to ask him what happened to him when he wakes up. We need to know this.” Said rainbow dash as she looked over the iron covered body of what mite if been a Pegasus.

From the sound of rainbows yelling, firelight woke up, and jumped out of bed and into the air. Grasping it with his wings and slowly floating down onto the floor.

   “O, sorry, you startled me.” Apologized fire light as he landed with his iron hooves clanking against the floor

“You need to tell us what happened to you. You are cover in iron and metal from snout to tail!

“Everything?” he asked

“Yes everything this is important” said Fluttershy who was still slightly scared from the surprise

“Ok. My wings were ripped off by another pony so I built these new ones. My iron legs and hooves are from two things. My front legs are just armor, it’s removable” as he removed the iron coverings showing his black and rainbow striped legs “the coloring is from being burned, and timber wolf blood. As for my back legs. One was sawed off, and I don’t rilly remember how that happened. The other is just like the two front legs” as he pulled the armor off his back right leg “the leg that was sawed off is a robotic leg that I made. The whole reason all this happened, is because I am a solder, and I have been fighting for a long time. Things can happen when you’re not careful about where you step, or who you shoot.”

At that moment the intercom sent out a message

“it is now 10:00 all units in cells or not need to go to their rooms and get some rest. As for today’s facility status

Three new units have been captured and placed in cells for later study

Ten guards have been wounded

Three from their own accidents

Two from burns

Five from sonic pulses

Tomorrow’s weather calls for thunderstorms

At 7:00 tomorrow all units in the e.p.s. section will be bathed and initiated

Tomorrow’s lunch is chees dunkers, grilled cheese, and hot dogs. This is because of the facility’s 26’Th anniversary

“I think that man is rilly nice” sead Fluttershy as she went over to her cot “I wander what’s in the e.p.s.” she said in question while covering herself in a small blanket.

“Later on you need to tell us why you were fighting in the first place” said a confused and tired rainbow dash

“I rilly hope that I can explain it the right way” said fire light as he drifted to sleep “and I hope I can remember why I was there”
