last resort: the guard

After a long night for both the staff, and the contained units in cells. Everyone started to wake up to the sound of the morning alarm

“All units go to your stations and do as you were doing yesterday” the intercom sounded just after the alarm

Fire light started to wake up when he saw a small yellow pony next to his bed.

“Hello are you awake” said Fluttershy still in a morning daze

“Im up, what’s happening!” yelled rainbow from the other side of the room

“Nice job dash, maybe tomorrow you can just yell the announcements” said fire light, knowing he would get a rise out of the blue mare “hey you next door you hear this” he yelled as he banged his hoof against the wall

The only response from the other side of the wall was a mare’s voice, but no pony could figure out what she was saying

“Hey, you still need to tell us why you were fighting” said r.d. as she turned to fire light

“I don’t remember why I was fighting” said fire light “but it’s coming back to me. I will tell you everything, when I remember”

The iron door soon rolled open as a man’s voice came into the room

“I am here to take you to the lab. You are not being penalized, just studied” said the man

Soon fire light, Fluttershy, and rainbow dash were taken to the lab. It was very scary to them, seeing all the other ponys in cages, but all they could do was walk by, and stare.

After they got to their destination, firelight was told, then forced to remove his armor (f.y.i. firelight does not like to be naked when he does not need to). Once the ponys had all armor and “clothing” (saddle bags) removed they were each covered in a strange white liquid, and scrubbed by the men in the room. After about two minutes the burned fur on fire light came off revealing his bright red coat. By the time this happened Fluttershy was a large white ball of bubbles, and rainbow dash was a cotton ball with two eyes and a man’s arms going into it.

“why are we being sterilized?” asked firelight in his deep Russian sounding voice “ is this just for sanitation?”

“Actually yes it is for sanitation, and dr.marten does not need his lab covered in dirt, or, um, chard hair.” Said the man who was washing the remaining sope off Fluttershy.”

Firelight thought about it for a minute, and being the over observant solder he is, he had to ask

“Who exactly, is dr.marten?” firelight asked as he looked at Fluttershy than the guard cleaning her.

“I think you will be the first to meet him. So I guess you get to find out for yourself

After a minuet a new guard walked into the room, and picked up firelight. Soon after he was brought into a room, and placed on a table. He had two thoughts in his mind. Fight or talk. He did not have time to deicide because an unarmed man came into the room with a name tag that read “dr. marten”.

“Hello there, you must be firelight. I am dr. marten” said the man “please do not be afraid I am not going to hurt you”

Just when he said “do not be afraid” firelight started giggling internally

   “What do you want with me? I am just a solder.” Said firelight hoping that he would get some answers before killing the man

“You are a solder?” said dr.marten “I did not know that you kind of equine could be hostel”.

“Now why am I here?” asked firelight. Who was now thinking of more ways to murder the unknowing ape.

“I will tell you that after I have fully analyzed you. I want to tell you everything but it will have to wait” said dr.marten who was holding back the urge to say that firelight was cute. “Now I am going to feel along your bone structure. So try to not to move very much”

And so he did. Firelight did as commanded. He knew that if he was “good” around the scientist he would get info, and possibly a better chance at escaping, to go home and see his child. Glow stone.

“Firelight, I am going to take a blood sample so we can know that you have no dangerous diseases. Are you ok with that?” said dr.marten as if he had done this a thousand times. Which he may have done.

“im ok with it. You will get fresher blood from my back by the way.” Said firelight. He thought that giving the doctor more info would be strategically helpful in gaining his trust.

“Ok, thanks for the blood. I will send this to the lab. In the meantime, I think that you should get to know my good friend, dr. Ivan church. He works with phycology; you may be comfterbal with him, and I think he will like a pony like you.

“Thanks for your offer, I will consider it.” Said firelight who was actually thinking about meeting up with this “Ivan church” person.

Firelight soon was taken under a more thorough examination, and given a vest to ware around the facility. This vest was strange to firelight at first, intill he read the words on the side tag.

He knew that he was in good hands at the facility, but he still had to be ready at all times for an emergency. He decided that later in the day he would talk to Ivan church, but intill then he would sleep in the cage that he was placed in. which happened to be in dr.marten’s office, probably for later study. Dr.marten did seem rather interested in firelight and the ponys in general.
