Chaotic Love

Chapter XI – Internal Conflict.

“Hurry Discord there going to be here soon!” Fluttershy giggled as she raced around the house cleaning.

Discord grumbled as he helped get everything all set up, after his time with Twilight, Fluttershy had suggested to the girls they all come over for a sleepover to chat and discuss about Discord. Fluttershy was also planning on using the sleepover as the time to tell the girls how she truly felt about Discord, once he fell asleep that is.

Discord didn’t really enjoy the idea but gave up after a cute plea from Fluttershy and agreed to help, as long as he was left alone in his room when they arrived to have some rest. So far the house was practically spotless and the kitchen was filled with various arrays of snacks and food ready for the evening, Discord had gotten over his first initial annoyance of house work when he decided to use Angel as a brush by turning him into one when Fluttershy wasn’t looking.

At about half past seven there was a knock on the door and the sounds of people chattering outside of it, Fluttershy squealed in happiness running to the door. She opened it to be greeted by the other girls and they all giggled with happiness and greeted one another, Fluttershy took a step to her side to allow them to enter the house. As they past Discord they all gave him different greetings, Pinkie gave him a hug, Twilight smiled polite as did Rarity, Rainbow gave him a high five and Applejack gave him a strong handshake. Not before punching him in the arm as revenge for the market incident with Rainbow earlier, Fluttershy scowled at her but giggled when Rainbow told her of the actual prank.

As the evening grew later and dinner had been eaten, the girls bid Discord good night as he decided to retire early that night, mainly to get away from all the girly talk. He settled on his bed and opened up one of the few books he had borrowed from Twilight and began to read, the book he started was a history book that detailed the most major events of the last one thousand years, a book Twilight suggested to him so he may catch up with everything since his first imprisonment.

“So Fluttershy…has Discy really been ok to live with?” Pinkie asked.

“Oh he has been a real gentleman; he helps with cooking and cleaning and is very polite to me. Angel seems to still be having problems with him but Angel is stubborn.” Fluttershy replied.

“Seriously? I still can’t believe he has been that. No offence Flutters.” Rainbow Dash added.

The girls giggled as they continued their talk, the girls began to have a few apple ciders from Sweet Apple Acres and began to feel lightly buzzed. It was then that the girls decided to play a game of truth or dare and Fluttershy saw an opportunity to reveal her feelings, when the time was right. Pinkie was about to start the game off but Rarity interrupted.

“As a lady I believe I should be the one to be given the first challenge.” Rarity said.

“Okie Dokie Lokie, truth or dare?” Pinkie giggled.

“Hmm…I suppose I better start the evening off with the first dare.” Rarity replied.

“Ok uhm…uhm…oh I know!” Pinkie giggled grinning with mischief. “I dare you to wear your panties on your head for the rest of the night!”

The girls began to giggle as Rarity blushed a bright red, groaning she complied and stood up, she bent forwards towards the girls grumbling as she slipped from under her nightdress her black panties and reluctantly placed them on her head crossing her arms in a huff. The girls stared at her before bursting out in laughter once more; Rarity raised her head up blushing even more and a scowl on her face.

“Ok my turn, I choose Applejack. Truth or Dare?”

“Hehe, ah choose dare!” She grinned.

“I dare you to admit something embarrassing about yourself!” Rarity said.

Rainbow Dash gave Rarity a high five as Applejack glared at the pair, Pinkie and Twilight giggled as Fluttershy tried her best not to giggle as well.

“Alright then…when ah was a teen….ah kindah wanted to be…an actress in a drama…” She blushed with embarrassment.

There was a brief pause before Rainbow and Pinkie burst into a fit of laughter and fell onto their backs, Rarity let out a snort of laughter before composing herself with a smile, Twilight giggled along with Fluttershy as Applejack fumed.

“Yeah yeah real funny, I choose Rainbow Dash.” Applejack glared.

“Why the hell not? I choose dare!” Rainbow said between laughs.

“I dare you to reveal a secret as well that’s just as embarrassing!” Twilight suddenly said with a grin.

Everyone’s eyes were on Rainbow in anticipation as she gritted her teeth and let out a sigh.

“When I was twelve my mum made me do…ballet classes.” She crossed her arms looking away.

Once again there was a brief pause before Pinkie and Applejack were on the floor again laughing their butts off, Rarity’s composure failed her and she burst out laughing along with Twilight, Fluttershy giggled behind her hair trying her best not to burst out laughing. Rainbow just glared at them all as she tried her best not to storm off in a strop.

“Ok Twilight…truth or dare?” Rainbow glared.

Twilight was having a good time and her mind wasn’t thinking correctly and she giggled to herself.

“Dare!” She giggled.

“I dare you to reveal your secret crush!” Rainbow grinned evilly.

Twilight went bright red, the girls stopped laughing as a chorus of ‘ooo’ sounded around the room and they all looked at her.

“I….I have a crush on….Big Mac…” Twilight muttered rubbing her arm.

Everyone stared at her with open mouths; they weren’t expecting Twilight to say that. Applejack felt strangely happy at this, but at the same time confused and didn’t know why. Rainbow Dash put her arm around Twilight and congratulated her as she laughed and Pinkie demanded the have a party to celebrate it, Twilight blushed as she groaned in annoyance. Fluttershy merely played with her hair blushing as her heart began to race.

“Fluttershy? It’s your turn now dear.” Rarity said.

“O-oh ok…w-well seeing a-as everyone is choosing dare…I chose d-dare.” She said.

“Now Flutters.” Rainbow started. “If you’re not comfortable, you can always choose truth.”

“N-no it’s ok…I want to.” Fluttershy smiled.

“Ok then…hmm, I dare you to…” Rarity had an idea and smiled, she knew Fluttershy had a crush on someone. Her women’s instinct told her. “To tell us if you have a man you love in your life.”

Everyone went silent as they looked at Fluttershy awaiting the response.

‘Ok Fluttershy…this is it, it’s now or never…’ She thought with a gulp.

“I…l-love Discord…” She whispered.

“Say what sugarcube? Speak up.” Applejack said.

Fluttershy swallowed and made a whimper before speaking up.

“I love Discord…”

“Flutters you gotta speak up we can’t hear you!” Pinkie giggled.

“I said I love Discord.” Fluttershy replied louder.

The room went a deathly silent as the girls all stared at her in shock; Fluttershy whimpered and began to play with her hair.

‘Oh no…they don’t approve…oh no what am I going to do?’ She began to panic in her head.

“I knew it.” Rarity chuckled.

Fluttershy blinked as she stared at her wide eyed, Rarity smiled to her as did the others. She had known all along?

“You…knew?” Fluttershy asked.

“Of course darling, we all knew. We’ve seen how you have been treating him and how you act when he’s around you.” Rarity smiled.

“You…don’t disapprove or hate me?” Fluttershy asked softly.

“Heck of course not Flutters.” Rainbow grinned. “We may find it a tiny bit odd but we’re your friends and we’ll support you with whatever you want to do, course if he does anything…” Rainbow and Applejack cracked their knuckles.

“Please don’t do that! I hate the noise!” Rarity winced.

The girls giggled as Rarity glared at them, Fluttershy’s eyes began to water up as she smiled. She couldn’t believe her friends supported her. The night progressed and eventually the girls settled down for the night in Fluttershy’s room and drifted off to sleep.

Discord tossed and turned in his bed, he was groaning and his face was contorted with agony, his entire body was covered in sweat. As he thrashed about he knocked over the lamp on the bedside table and it fell to the floor with a crash, across the hallway in Fluttershy’s room Fluttershy woke up suddenly with a gasp in her bedroom hearing the crash; she turned the lamp on in her room and slowly got out of bed putting on her dressing gown as the others all woke up from the crash.

“That came from Discord’s room…we should go see if he’s ok.” She said to herself.

The others soon got up with a yawn and began to follow Fluttershy out of the room.

“FLUTTERSHY COME ON HURRY!” Discord cried.

He looked back with his arm extended out, his eyes were wide and he was panting heavily. He was calling out to Fluttershy who was on the floor and had a look of terror on her face, she stumbled to her feet and ran after to catch him up, he grabbed her outstretched hand and they carried on running. In the distance there was a mob of angry people running after them each branding some form of weapon, there eyes were completely red and all of them had faces of pure rage and malice.

Discord and Fluttershy ran over the bridge as quick as they could, they were going to try and reach Zecora’s hut to escape the mob chasing them. It was found out by the townsfolk that Silver was actually Discord and was furious, the mob had been formed up by Caramel who had seen a chance to get revenge on Discord and they had quickly amassed outside Twilight’s library where he was currently at with the girls.

Seeing this Twilight and the others had tried to calm the mob down as Fluttershy and Discord made it out the back, things escalated however when the mob got more angry and threatened violence on the girls if they did not let them pass. When Caramel noticed Discord making a break for it the mob blew up and a stray makeshift Molotov was thrown into the library setting it on fire, looking back Fluttershy’s feet tripped over one another and she fell over in pain. Discord had stopped in order to call out to her and give her a hand; they rushed past her cottage both panting heavily as they entered the forest.

They took a moment to stop and looked back panting; they couldn’t see the mob behind them and breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly there was a series of cries all around them as the mob slowly emerged from the shadows in a circle surrounding them, Fluttershy cried out and clung to Discord in fear. He growled and put one arm around her protectively, his eyes scanned around the crowd looking for a way to break out.

“How long did you think you could keep this up Discord?” Caramel said.

“You think we would accept your kind, after what you did?” Another man said slowly dissolving into a copy of King Terra.

“SHUT UP!” Discord shouted.

He made a break for it and barged his way past some of the clones gripping tightly onto Fluttershy, they ran for what seemed like hours having to keep changing direction to avoid the sudden appearances of more clones. Eventually they were cornered against a large oak tree with nowhere to go; they slowly backed up until their bodies were touching the bark itself.

All around him the people began to form into more various people from his past, Caramel, King Terra, the bullies from the orphanage, Princess Luna and the elements. Discord’s eyes went wide in fear as the last one formed into that of his chaotic form and smirked.

“I told you Discord…they won’t accept us, not even the one who you loved could…” Chaos chuckled.

The world around them distorted, Fluttershy suddenly disappeared as the area changed to Canterlot castle, and Discord gasped seeing hundreds of guards surrounding him with King Terra up to a small tower looking down with disgust. He suddenly heard Fluttershy cry out for him and turned round to see her tied up to a stake, her face was stained from a combination blood were she had been struck and tears.

“FLUTTERSHY!” Discord cried.

“So…” Chaos materialized beside him.” Do you really care about her? Or would you rather get your revenge, were stronger than all these guards combined and Terra is a weak old fool. Think about it Discord, we could get revenge for all he has put our kind through!”

He ignored Chaos and immediately charged to where Fluttershy was, as he got closer the area changed again and he was running at Terra. Terra had his sword drawn but looked exhausted and was breathing heavily, Discord scoffed and turned round and headed to where Fluttershy was now.

“All those years…treated differently… the rage we kept under wraps…could all be released now on the ones who caused it all.” Chaos purred floating beside him as he ran to Fluttershy.

“FUCK OFF!” He roared swiping at Chaos.

Chaos vanished with a laugh has the area changed again and this time he saw Terra, Celestia, the ones who picked on him in his childhood as well as several others who caused his life misery in front of him. They were all chained to a pole each and looked up at him with a mixture of fear and utter disgust, Discord’s hands shook as he realised he could very well inflict his revenge, the built up rage of a thousand years. He began to advance on them almost in a trance like state grinning manically, but was snapped out of it by Fluttershy’s scream.

He turned to see the stake she was at being set alight and immediately took off towards her, cutting down the apparitions of guards and people who got in his way getting wounded several times in the process. As he reached her he shot and arm out to grab and pull her off but was stopped by sharp stabbing pain to his stomach, he looked behind him to see Chaos holding a blade looking irritated.

“Forget her she’s nothing! Go get our revenge!” He hissed.

“N-no she's different!” Discord groaned as he slowly pulled himself of the blade.

He looked up to see he was back in the room with the chained tormentors and stared at them, his eyes slowly started to turn to their original yellow and red and a psychotic grin formed on his face, Chaos watched with glee as Discord slowly advanced towards his captives and slowly began to laugh.

“Yes…unleash our rage Discord…let them feel our pain!” Chaos grinned.

“DISCORD PLEASE! I KNOW THERE IS GOOD INSIDE YOU, PLEASE DISCORD!” Fluttershy screamed.

Discord heard her scream and began to cry out in in agony as he struggled to turn around away from the captives, Chaos watched this with a look of concern on his face, and he growled once more grabbing Discord’s shoulder.

“Don’t fight it! Release your-“

Discord delivered a punch suddenly into Chaos’s face catching him off guard and sending him flying and to the ground, Discord panted as he suddenly shot off towards Fluttershy. He could see her as the flames became wilder and Fluttershy struggling to free herself, he roared and pulled her from the stake in one mighty pull and held her softly as she cried form the minor burns she had already received.

“It’s ok…I’ve got you your safe now.”

“I doubt that.”

Chaos suddenly grabbed Discord’s throat and slammed him into the wall hard, Discord tried to struggle against his grip but couldn’t. He cried put in pain as the blade sunk into his chest and into the wall behind him, he coughed up blood as he winced and watched Chaos grab Fluttershy by her hair and start to back away.

“WE WILL NEVER BE FUCKING FREE OF THIS DISCORD! OF ANY OF THIS! SHE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT US NO ONE EVER HAS! YOU NEED TO WAKE THE FUCK UP AND FULLY EMBRACE WHAT WE ARE AGAIN, WHAT MADE US STRONG!” Chaos roared.

Discord coughed again as the world began to darken, he saw Fluttershy being dragged away by Chaos, screaming for him tears flowing down her face. The last thing he saw was Chaos and Fluttershy faded out before he blacked out.

“NO!” Discord screamed as he bolted upright in a cold sweat.

The door to his room burst open and Fluttershy stood there with a look of panic and concern on her face, Discord was panting heavily looking forward his eyes wide in utter shock. Fluttershy quickly raced round and pulled him into a gentle hug.

“Shh…it’s ok Discord it was just a bad dream-“

She was interrupted as Discord pulled her into a tight hug burying his face into her chest and suddenly breaking down in tears; Fluttershy wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly as he sobbed into her heavily. The girls soon joined them in the room all watching in shock as he clung to her, Fluttershy stoked his back and gently rocked him back and forth as Discord continued to sob.

“I’m so sorry Fluttershy, I’m so sorry!” Discord said between his sobs.

“You have nothing to be sorry for…” Fluttershy replied holding him tighter.

The girls watched unsure as to what was happening, they watched as the man of chaos, a man that was evil and on the road to being reformed wept like a loved one had died. Pinkie’s hair deflated slightly as her lip trembled and she got onto the bed as well hugging Discord and Fluttershy in comfort, she was soon joined by the others one by one as they offered their comfort to him as he sobbed letting out one thousand years of bottled emotions.

Well, I hope you liked this, this is the last chapter in the current time frame. Chapter Twelve will take place after a few months as to move the story along. I really hope you are all enjoying this story, thank you for reading it so far.
