Chapter 8

A Simple Trip To the Hospital, Right?

You groggily open your eyes, which hurt, for no real reason you can think of. You try to look around, but find yourself unable. Everything hurts. Then it hits you. You are in a hell of a lot of pain. Not enough to make you want to scream, but you sure as fuck can’t ignore it. “W-where am I? What happened? Hello?”

A very worried Rarity pokes her head up from besides the bed. The bags under her eyes are evident, her mane is a mess. It looks like she hasn’t taken care of herself for days. “Jason! Oh I’m so glad you’re awake!!” She sounded like she was on the brink of tears. And looked like it, her eyes were filling with tears. “I was so worried! You’ve been out for a week and a half!”

“A-a week and… a half?” You manage to say. “Can some doctors do something about this pain? Everything hurts like hell….”

“Yes, a week and a half darling. You had me so worried… And it’s to be expected, you’ve pulled through a really rough patch… You were technically dead for ten minutes…. Not to mention the doctors here aren’t used to dealing with something like you before….” Rarity looked away at this.

You managed to let loose a small laugh “Yeah, I can imagine. Only one of my kind here and all.” Rarity somehow managed to look even further away. “Rarity. What happened?

“You aren’t the only one of your kind here anymore. There are two more…” You couldn’t believe it! This was exciting news! You weren’t all alone. You could make some friends of your own kind, you just couldn’t comprehend it!

“That’s great news! Where are they? I want to meet them as soon as I can!” Though you tried to sound excited, the pain was still clear in your voice, which was weak. Not to mention you had some trouble producing certain sounds. Which you thought was odd, but blamed the pain.

“They are in Canterlot, in the castle.” Rarity seemed to be trying to sound soothing, like something bad happened.

“Wow, already meeting Celestia are they? Are they a couple of guys, and are they staying there?”

“Well… For starters, they both are girls, and as a matter of fact, they are staying there… But before I go any further, I’m sure you want to hear about what happened, yes?” Rarity sounded hopeful that you would say yes.

Not really wanting to disappoint her, you respond with the answer she wanted. “Sure, I’m excited to know I’m not alone anymore, but I am interested in hearing what happened in the past week and a half. Besides, it’s not like I’m going anywhere anytime soon. Right?”

“You have no idea…” Rarity mumbled. You couldn’t really hear it very well, but didn’t bother asking her to repeat herself loudly. “Right, well sit down, this is a long story. And it’s a doozy as Pinkie would say.”

Switching to Rarity’s point of view now

You watched in horror as Jason collapsed as the bowls hit the floor and broke. You ran over to him, and used your magic to throw the bowls out of the way, a little too hard as they hit the wall and broke some more. “Jason!” You called out as his eyes closed for what you feared would be the last time.

Without really thinking, you picked Jason up with your magic, and started running for the door. Without really thinking, you blew the door completely off its hinges and into the street, scaring quite a few passing ponies. Thankfully no one was injured. You were running for Twilight’s house.

When you got there, Jason’s breathing was slowed and labored, and he was sweating profusely. You gently set him down and start pounding on Twilight’s front door. A few moments later, a half asleep, and clearly upset Twilight opened the door. ‘What time is it?’ You thought, ‘It couldn’t be THAT late then even Twilight of all pony’s was asleep, could it?’ “What’s the matter Rarity?” Twilight asked not really hiding her frustration of being woken up this late, or early, you didn’t know.

“It’s Jason! Something’s wrong and I don’t know what!” You sounded panicked, scared, and at this point you were crying. ‘My hair must be a complete mess…’

Whatever negative emotions Twilight was harboring were snuffed out as she noticed Jason on the ground next to you. “What happened! Is he okay?!”

“I don’t know darling! We were eating, and then he got up to do that dishes saying something I don’t care to remember then he passed out! And now his breathing is labored, and it’s shallow. Oh please tell me it’s going to be alright Twilight!” You started crying more openly, and collapsed on the floor.

Twilight walked up to you and put a hoof over your shoulder. “I’m sure everything will turn out fine. Let’s just get him to the hospital.” (Insert little circle wash thing that cuts scenes to the hospital like in the cartoons here lol )

“What do you mean everything isn’t going to be fine?” You asked, rather loudly, but not quite yelling, are screaming. Though you were getting close to doing both. Jason was on a bed near you, with a few machine hooked up to him. You hadn’t the faintest clue what either of them did, but one of them was beeping.

“I meant what I said Ms. Rarity. Everything isn’t going to be fine. Something, that I would guess he ate, has more or less, poisoned him, probably due to his different physiology. Normally I’d be able to help, and things would be all right, and he probably wouldn't have gotten sick in the first place. But as I’m sure you can see, he isn’t normal, so I don’t know if treating him, would speed up the process of the poison, or finish him off for good right then and there. I hope you understand, but without risking further injury’s, there’s nothing more I can do… He has a few days left. At most four in his current condition. I’m sorry.” The doctor left leaving you to grieve with Twilight who wasn’t as upset as you were, but still not taking this very well.

“Oh Twilight! What are we going to do!” You were crying now. Absolutely over dramatic, but in the same breath, it fits the situation.

“I don’t know what we can do Rarity… The doctor said if he was a normal pony he could help but…” Twilight trailed off. “If he was normal… That's it! Rarity, come with me, I might have an idea how we can help!” Twilight ran out of the room and you quickly followed

“Slow down a little Twilight! I’m still tired from the run over to your library, and to the hospital!” She didn’t listen, of hear you. “*Groan*” You kept on following her till you managed to get to the Library. Twilight was first through the door, followed shortly by you

When you got in Twilight was already speaking, but not something you expected. “Wait, how did you know again?”

Spike rubbed his face with the palm of his hand, or claw, whatever. “I told you, Pinkie told me, and the others, which is why they are here to. Again, I don’t know how she knew. It’s Pinkie Pie, remember?”

Twilight let out a long drawn out sigh “Yeah. I do…. Okay, so you sent the letters right?”

Spike put on a smirk “ Yeah, I sent them just as AJ was showing up. Right?”

Applejack nodded. “He shore did sugercube. Ah saw it mahself. Ah’ve seen him send letters before, but it’s still cool ta see.”

Twilight sighed. “Okay, well as soon as Celestia get’s here, we can get her to ask Luna for her help as well. If we are going to make this permanent, I’m going to need two other very powerful unicorns. But the only ones I know that are powerful enough, are the princesses. Now I’m hoping they can put aside their differences long enough to help me save Jason. That’s the plan, but in reality, we are going to have to find a way to fuse a few already complicated spells… the Permanent Charm spell, Polymorphing Spell, which allows for temporary morphing into somepony else, and apply them to a weakened individual who may or may not be alive long enough for us to figure this out!”

“Thou shant have to worry Twilight Sparkle.” You couldn’t put your hoof on it, but that with the way it spoke, allowed you to deduce it was Luna. Which was odd, since Twilight said Celestia was going to contact her. In a bizarre disappearance of light, Luna teleported in the library. Quickly followed by a blinding light, and in comes Celestia.

“We are here my faithfull student.” Celestia looked over to Luna. “It’s been a while sister.”

Luna locked eyes with Celestia “We are here for Twilight Sparkle and friends only. We are not here to discuss anything with you.”

“I know. But it is good to see you again.” Luna’s expression softened

“It is good to see you as well sister.”

Celestia turned to Twilight “Let’s get started my faithful student. This is no easy task to save this friend of yours.”

Twilight nodded “Right away princess. If you all want to go, you can, this is where things get boring.” Everypony except you nodded. “What’s the matter Rarity?”

“I know I’m not as smart as you or the Princesses, but I can help with cooking when you get hungry. I may not be a life time cook, but I do know my way around a kitchen.”

Celestia nodded “That will be perfect my little pony. Thank you.”

You nod politely “It will be my pleasure princess”

Back to Jason’s Point of View

“Okay, so, that explains what happened to me, and why I’m still alive, but why do I hurt all over? And why is it I’m no longer the only one of my kind here? So I can assume something in the soup didn’t agree with my system right?”

Rarity nodded “Yes….” Rarity looked depressed, and looked like she was about to start crying.

“Don’t worry Rarity. There’s no way you could’ve known that something in the soup was going to do what it did to me. Don’t feel bad. Besides, I’m alive. Though we haven’t gotten to the point where you explain why I can’t move, why I hurt all over, at first I thought it was something to do with the soup, but now I’m not so sure.”

Rarity nodded.”Indeed, it’s because of what happened when the princesses, and Twilight finished researching the spell. They cast it on you to save you. I told you what spells they were combining right?”

“Yeah. I wish I could nod but it hurts.” You manage a small laugh. Which seems to brighten Rarity’s sprits a bit. “On with the story! I wanna hear what happens!”

Rarity manages a laugh at this “Very well”

Back to Rarity’s Point of view

“It’s been days Twilight, he may not have much longer! Are you almost done?” You were fed up with waiting. You couldn’t quite place your hoof on it, but you were a lot more worried about him then you probably should be.

Twilight sighed “This is really hard work Rarity! We are all working as hard as we can! All the tests we’ve run on apple haven’t turned out so good.”

“If I may make a conjecture on that, you are tuning the spell to affect larger, and more complex living creatures. An apple simply can’t compare to a pony, or in Jason’s case, a human.”

Luna looked up from her books she was reading “Thou might have a point Rarity. Jason is no apple. It very well could work on something more complex.”

Celestia not looking up from her books decided to throw in her two cents, or bit, whatever. “There’s a good chance. That could be. Should we go down there and test it for sure? Worse case he dies, but too much delay could result in the same fate.” Celestia somehow said that calmly.

Luna looked over to her and said “Yes. We think that could work out nicely. Ready to go Twilight Sparkle?”

Twilight nodded “Sure! Let’s get going and do some science!”

You looked at them like they were insane “You can’t be serious.”

“Twilight rested her hoof on your shoulder “Sure we are! You did bring a valid point up. We all seem to think it should work fine on Jason, or anything that it as complex a life form. So, that means we are done! Which also means we need to do what this whole thing was intended to do! Right princesses?”

“Oh yes. We agree fully” Said Luna

“Very much so.” Said Celestia. “Now, let’s get going!” She got up and walked to the door, closely followed by Luna, then Twilight. For lack any real response, you just followed to.

“So what’s the plan then?” You asked, ignoring the surprised looks from everypony who saw both the princesses and Twilight and you.

“Simple” said Twilight “We each know the spell, so we are going to go in there and cast the spell.” You all keep walking towards the hospital. You mostly ignored the conversation going on between Luna, Celestia, and Twilight. You just wanted to get there and get Jason better as soon as possible. It still bothered you why you were as worried as you were about him. But didn’t have as long to dwell upon that fact as you wanted as the hospital came into view. You looked up to Jason’s room window, and saw a bunch a ponies running around franticly.

“Umm, excuse me. Hate to butt in your conversation. But that doesn’t look good.” You point up to the room window

Twilight shook her head “No it doesn’t look good. We better hurry.”

Luna speaks up and says “Indeed. We must hurry if thou’s coltfriend is to survive.” Luna was looking straight at you.

Your face turned a brilliant shade of crimson as your face flushed “He is not my coltfriend! What could’ve given that idea?!” You started looking around hoping she was talking to someone else.

“Then why is thou defending thine self so adamantly?” You were at a loss for words

“I-I-I-I don’t know…” Did you really like him like that? You never thought you feelings of worry like that before because you didn’t believe in love at first sight despite all those romance novels you read. And you’ve only known Jason for a few days. “Let’s just go inside and help him. Before things get any worse.”

You take lead into the hospital and start walking towards Jason’s Room. When you get there, the commotion was settled down, but the machine that was usually beeping when you visit, was quiet. You are about to ask why, when the doctor says “Nurse, time of death, 11:37 P.M” He walks up to you and says “I’m sorry, we did all we could…” He puts his hoof on your shoulder for a moment, then leaves. The nurses quickly follow allowing you a moment with him.

You walk up to Jason’s body, when Twilight, Luna, and Celestia walk in. “H-H-He’s gone…” You say, tears are streaming down your face.

Twilight come up to you with a smile on her face and says “Don’t worry. We got this. Ready Princess Luna, Princess Celestia?”

“We are ready Twilight Sparkle.”

“Let’s rock ‘n roll my faithful student” The three of them gather around his body in a triangle “Like we practiced with the apples, only use more power. We can do this. Rarity, you might want to stand back.” Her voice was very serious after she started talking when she let Twilight know she was ready.

The three of them ignited their horns, and magic sparked between them like electricity( not that they know what it is, but it fits the story.)The magic their horns were putting off shot at Jason’s body. The blanket that was covering him evaporated, as the color of their magic blended together. The magic was now flowing into Jason’s body, with four streams of magic coming from the center of the circle. His body started convulsing, and jerking around violently as his body started to contort.

Sickening sounds could be heard as his body started changing. His fingers started melted together, and his eyes started retracting into his head. It was a horrifying sight to behold, you almost lost what you had to eat earlier that evening. You could see his ribs pop in and out of place, and hear them, as they changed their shape, and placement in his torso. The hair he had receded much like his eyes and, and his ears followed suit. He was nothing more than a peach blob with what looked like a head and four limbs.

His legs started changing shape into something more equine in nature. The crackling of what will seemingly end up being his hind legs was worse than his ribs. Watching it contort into its new shape was a gruesome thing to behold. Hair started to spout all over his body. His coat was going to be white, his mane started growing in. It got long, quick, it grew to about the length of Fluttershy’s hair, and it was black. ‘So, he’s going to be black and white. An interesting color pattern, quite the fashion statement. He’s going to look simply fabulous in one of my better ensembles.’ A lump starting growing on his head, and it broke the surface of the skin on what was his forehead; he was going to be a unicorn.

His ears spouted from the top of his head, which was starting to elongate into a muzzle. His eyes resurfaced when his face was done reconstructing itself. He had excellent bone structure. His eyes were closed, so you couldn’t see them. ‘He is quite the hunk of stallion…’ His horn must’ve been as long as Celestia’s when it finally stopped growing. ‘He has quite the horn on him…’ You noticed his back was contorting some more, despite the fact he was pretty much fully developed. The area that was contorting on his back, started growing outwards.

Joints could be seen forming in the things that were growing from his back. They were wings. Feathers were growing out the ever expanding appendages, long primary feathers first, then the down. His wings must’ve been as long as Celestia’s, maybe longer. He was defiantly bigger than Big Macintosh, but you couldn’t be sure how he compared to Celestia until he was standing next to her.

It took about fifteen minutes for the whole process to finish. You couldn’t believe that was Jason. Celestia, Luna, and Twilight all looked exhausted. “You three all doing okay?”

Twilight spoke up. “Yeah, just give us a minute, we used a lot of magic. Did it work though? Did Jason change like he was supposed to?”

“Yes and no darling. He did change, but I don’t think you meant to… well… see for yourself.”

Twilight forced herself to her hooves to see as they had all collapsed after they were finished. Once she got up, she promptly fell down again. “He’s an alicorn!?” Twilight practically shouted. This got the princesses attention, who both stood up with surprised looks on their face. “How could this be possible?”

“I don’t know Twilight.” Celestia was examining him. “Luna, come here please. Stand next to Jason, allow me to examine you for comparison.” Luna complied and Celetia’s magic surrounded them.

She examined them for about five minutes before you asked, “Well?”

Celestia frowned and released her magic. “As far as I can tell, he’s as much an alicorn as Luna is, and by extent, me. I’m not sure what happened to make him this way, but I’m going to find out.”

Luna turned to her sister. “We are going to help. We can work out some kind of compromise as to our disagreement. Yes?”

Celestia smiled “Of course dear sister. I’m very sure we can come to a compromise. After we finish this. Not to mention we have some decisions to think on to.”

“What do you mean princess?” Twilight asked. You had to admit, you were curious to.

Celestia turned to Twilight, “You haven’t figured it out? There are two rulers of Equestria. Luna and I. We are also the only two alicorns in existence, until now. Which begs the question, should he become a prince? And if he does, will it be of no relations, or will he become our younger brother? I think the biggest problem is if he should become royalty. And if he does, if he should be trained to rule along side of Luna and I.”

“Don’t I get a say in all of this? Or Jason for that matter?” You spoke up, drawing attention to yourself. “I understand your concerns, but what about me? I know why you are concerned, but if he’s alive and well, we should wait for him to wake up and decide what he wants to do.” Luna and Celestia smiled knowing smiles, and poor Twilight was just confused. “It isn’t like that! I’m just saying he should have a say in this before you take him away from me, here. Away from here, this place.” You were bright red, and Twilight was still confused, more so now.

“Very well my little pony. Come along Luna, we have things we need to get done as soon as we can.”

“Okay sister.” Luna and Celestia teleported out in a bizarre flash of light and darkness, it was hard to describe what happened… It’s like the darkness was bright and you couldn’t look at it…

Twilight started speaking again “Let’s keep this a secret Rarity, I don’t think we should start telling everypony about this. Not yet.” Despite Twilight’s confusion as to why you were so adamant as to why Jason should get a say in this whole ordeal, she tried to sound serious.

“Okay Twilight, I’ll stay here and keep an eye on him till he wakes up.” And with that, Twilight teleported out as well, presumably back to the library.

Back to Jason’s Point of view

You mind was reeling. You died, and were transformed into a pony. You were also a god like being with immortality. And there was a good chance you were going to become a prince. Holy shit, if this is what you can do in a week, what could you do in a month?

Rarity started speaking “I know this is a lot to take in. But relax, I doubt the princess would force you into doing something you were against. So don’t worry. Besides, now you aren’t alone.” Rarity smiled, it wasn’t forced, it was a genuine smile, you could only imagine how long it’s been since she truly smiled since all this began.

“That’s a relief I suppose. At least now… Well, never mind.”

“No, tell me darling. What were you going to say?” Rarity looked determined to find out.

“I don’t know, I think it’ll make things awkward for a little while, and I think we’ve had enough of awkward for a while. Thankfully though, the pain is going away. I might be able to move soon.” You tried to dodge the question by bringing up the pain, but Rarity wasn’t having any of that.

“No. If you want more of my cooking, which I believe won’t try and kill you now, you’re going to tell me. Better hurry, this offer expires.” Rarity had you there. You always were a sucker for home cooking, and you did like Rarity’s cooking the first time and you wondered if the taste would be different a second time. “Ten more seconds”.

‘She’s persistent, I’ll give her that…’ You let out a small chuckle. “You always get what you want?”

“Always.” Rarity replied more seriously then I think she meant to, which got another chuckle out of you.

“Okay, you win. Your cooking is worth it.” Rarity smiled and motioned for you to keep going. “Now that I’m a pony to, even though I’m an alicorn, which, still blow my mind, I’m hoping that I’ll be able to have a family now.” For some reason, Rarity turned bright red.

“You mean… Foals of your own? Like, kids?”

“Yeah I’ve always wanted a family. When I came here, I thought that I wouldn’t ever be able to live one of my biggest dreams. My dad always seemed happy when we played, and I’ve always wanted to know how it felt. I’ve always imagined it to be the best feeling in the world. But here I am now, one of your own kind, which means I could do it again.”

Rarity seemed to think it over. “But what if they are trouble makers?”

“In my world, the way in which we raise our kids will affect how they act. I was raised well enough to not to any of that.”

“And what did your parents do to see to that?” Rarity sounded genuinely confused.

“Plenty of spankings.” Rarity seemed appalled “It works. Look at me, I was raised in a world were bad people do very bad things, and don’t even care. But the punishment turns us away from bad behavior at an early age, and if we live that way long enough, it just becomes a life style. I used to be upset at the spankings, but now, I thank them for it, and even told them. Trust me, it works. Now let’s see if I can’t manage to stand up, hmm?”

Rarity rushed up to you and puts her forelegs across your now stirring body. “Oh no you most certainly are not darling! Lay down!” You didn’t listen, and kept trying to get up. After about five minutes, Rarity gave up trying to hold you down.

“Damn, it’s hard to work these legs…” You eventually gave up trying to get up, and you just worked your legs for a little while. “How do you work these things?” You moved you head up and looked at the offending appendages. “You win this battle Rarity….”

Rarity smiled, and held her head up high “I told you, I always get my way!”

You let out a loud hearty laugh “So you did! I guess you were right. So how am I going to adjust to these damn things? Not to mention magic and wings. I have a lot of stuff I’m going to need to learn. I have an idea on who could teach me about magic, and flying.”

“Twilight and Rainbow Dash right?”

“No and yes.” You say, earning a confused look from Rarity “I was hoping you could teach me how to use magic. I know Twilight is good at magic, but I think you might end up being a better teacher. Not to mention you’re probably going to be more patient with me.”

“Maybe. It depends, do you think you could even light your horn?”

“*Haha* I doubt it. I can’t even walk, much less get my horn to light up likes yours does when you do something. Why don’t you help me out of bed? Maybe if I start out standing, I can figure this walking thing out.”

Rarity seemed to be thinking it over. “Aren’t you still in pain?”

“A little, but after I moved around a bit it eased up some. I think I’m just really stiff ya know? I mean, I haven’t really moved in a week and a half, and I’m in what I could only call a new body.”

Rarity nodded. “Okay, I’ll give you a little magical assistance getting out of bed. Let me know if it hurts too much, alright?” Rarity sounded like she was almost pleading with you.

You nod and say sounding as sincerely as you can. “I will Rarity, don’t worry. I’ve caused you enough trouble as it is. I wouldn’t want to do any more to the mare that waited by my side till I woke up.”

Rarity flushed bright red “I... No… But… Uh…” Rarity stuttered, tripping over her own words.

You chuckle lightly “Thank you. It means a lot. Now let’s get to work teaching me how to walk!” You finish cheerfully. Rarity nods and takes off the blanket covering your body then picks you up with her magic. “Whoa! This… is a little… weird!” You look around at yourself, finally being able to get a good look at your own body. ‘Not bad. I think’. You feel solid ground beneath your feet, or, hooves now.

You just stand there trying to keep your balance. “Okay. Still standing, and I don’t hurt. That’s a good sign. Now, to try and walk…” You try and start walking by putting one hoof in front of the other. But fail and trip. “Oww… Fuck, this is going to be harder than I thought… And these are appendages I’m used to having! More or less, flying and magic is going to be a lot worse… “You were upset at this. You were hoping that you’d pick up walking fairly quickly.

Rarity picked up on this and said “Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be walking in no time, now just mirror my movements, and we’ll take a stroll around the hospital. How’s that sound?” Her voice was comforting to hear.

“Okay. Let’s take this slowly.” Rarity started walking, and you slowly followed. For the first few minutes, you had to look at your legs to make sure you were moving the right ones. After a short while, you could do this without looking at them, but were still thinking of which leg to move next. It took about two hours of walking around the hallway before you could walk without having to think of it, but you were still very unsure of your footing, or would that be hoofing? Anyway, you and Rarity made your way back to your room. You just walked next to the bed, glared at it, and just sat down next to it.

“Do you think I could leave? I don’t wanna be here anymore. I want to get out of this place. I never much liked hospitals, and I feel fine.” You look at Rarity with pleading eyes.

Rarity nodded and said “Very well, I’ll go talk to Nurse Redheart about it. But don’t expect me to sign all the papers!”

“Rarity, how could I sign them? I lost my hands, and I can barely walk, much less write with my mouth, or magic. So I’m afraid I’m going to have to impose on your endless pool of generosity some more.”
Rarity simply rolled her eyes and start mumbling something you couldn’t hear before finally saying “Fine… But you owe me one”

“Then it’s settled, you pick the restaurant, and I’ll buy dinner. It’s a date!” Rarity turned red, again, and then quickly left. You just smiled. “That wasn’t a no.” You were left to your own thoughts, which were mostly pessimistic in nature. You were an alicorn, which is a race of immortal beings with the power to control the sun and moon, the only two species alive were Celestia and Luna, who controlled the sun, and moon. Then there was you, who, couldn’t fly, couldn’t do any magic, and could barely walk. You were going to be compared, there was no doubt about it. The bar you were going to be compared to was a really damn high one. Not to mention, if you were truly immortal, everypony you know, will die out, leaving you alone. Except Luna and Celestia…

Your train of pessimistic thought was interrupted as Nurse Redheart came into the room with wheel chair, which brought a smile to your face “Awesome! This mean I’m leaving? Heading home? Blowing this pop stand? Making like a tree a leaving? Can’t wait! I’m feeling cooped up in this place…”

Rarity started talking. “I didn’t quite understand all of what you said, but I got some of it, so yes, you are leaving.”

Your smile grew wider as you heard you were leaving. “Sweet. I hate spending time in hospitals, when I had to spend a month in one because I was shot, it was the worst month of my life, and not just because I was shot either I’ll tell you that right now.”

“What do you mean ‘shot’ Jason?” Rarity asked. At first you were the one confused, considering she saw you shoot three ponies in that alleyway. But then again, you never did tell her what you did.

“Remember that alleyway?”

Rarity nodded grimly and said “Unfortunately, yes…”

“Well those guys were shot in the head.” Rarity looked like she was about to faint. So you quickly add. “Just because you get shot, doesn’t mean you die. I was shot in the leg. Damn did that hurt… Anyway, let’s GTFO.”

Rarity looked at you like you were crazy. “What’s ‘GTFO’ mean?”

“It’s an acronym for ‘get the fuck out’, it’s usually used playfully, or friendly.”

“Huh… Well, I’ll let you keep that little thing, it’s not very lady like.”

“Alright, that’s fine.”

Nurse Redheart coughed and started talking “Okay, if you two are done, Jason, get into the wheelchair, and I’ll escort you off the premises.” You nod, and awkwardly make your way over to the wheelchair, and sit down. Nurse Redheart started pushing you through a maze of hallways you’ve never seen before. After a few minutes, you were at the entrance. “Rarity signed you out, but there’s still the matter of your bill.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll stop by the bank tomorrow and pick up a check book. Then I’ll come by and pay up.”

Nurse Redheart smiled “That’s good to hear; most ponies don’t, or can’t pay up for a few days. We do our job and help people, and I always get this weird feeling when I have to ask people to pay for it, but at the same time I can understand where it’s coming from. Running a hospital isn’t cheap…”

“Thanks for everything Nurse Redheart. I don’t wanna sound rude, but I hope I don’t see you soon.” You smile hoping she gets what you were saying.

She smiled and said “I hope I don’t see you soon either Jason. Have a good night.” With a curt nod, she turned around and walked back in with the wheelchair after you got out.

You turned to Rarity and said “Good thing it’s night out, won’t be many ponies outside, so I don’t need to worry about anypony seeing these.” You turn your head back and look at your wings. “Let’s get going, it’s going to be a long walk.”

Rarity nodded and said “Indeed it is. And it’s going to take a while longer since you aren’t used to walking yet.”

You let out a sigh. “I’m amazed you put up with me this long. You are a truly wonderful mare. I just want you to know that.”

Rarity blushed. “It’s not a problem at all darling, now let’s hurry up. There’s a big bed back at home with our names on it!” Rarity just realized what she said, and came to a dead stop, the blush on her face worse than ever. Yours wasn’t fairing any better.

You smile and move a little closer to Rarity and say “That sounds wonderful.” You both begin to walk back to Rarity’s house, when you feel Rarity’s tail grab onto yours, you aren’t sure how you manage to wrap your tail around hers, but blame on instinct, and boy are you thankful for that particular instinct.

Closing Notes: Sorry, no father daughter flash-forward this chapter. Man, this whole story seems like it's rushing... I'm trying to slow it down, and now that this stuph is over, I think I can slow it down, I'm going to try to anyway.
