Scootaloo could'nt of been happier flying through the bright blue sky with her idol RainbowDash. But it seemed kind of odd now that Scootaloo thought about it. After Scootaloo woke up she went down stairs and heard a knocking from the door who other than RainbowDash to be there asking Scootaloo if she would like to fly with her.

Now Scootaloo was still a young filly and her wings could barley lift even its light feathers off the ground so this was a big challenge for Scootaloo. But she didn't care. There was no way she could turn down a change to fly with the best flyer in equestria. After Scootaloo agreed to fly Rainbow Dash flew off and said, "come on squirt gotta keep up". Scootaloo recoiled a bit to flap her wings scared of how Rainbow Dash might react of her inability to fly.

Scootaloo took a deep breath and began to flap her wings. But what Scootaloo thought was going to happen vanished like water evaporating from the ocean into thin air. She was flying. Not just flying she was souring passing RainbowDash in an immense speed. The thoughts of fear and shame vanished as she flew through the sky, all that mattered is that she was flying with her idol.

As they soured through the empty sky. Scootaloo noticed Rainbow turn left and head toward the sun. She did say something but due to the wind brushing pass her ears it was muffled. Guessing, she assumed that Rainbow wanted to head toward the sun.

Scootaloo turned left too, not wanting to be left behind so soon. As Scootaloo made her way to the sun she felt the rays of its head reach her body. She closed her eyes enjoying the warmth wash down on her cold coat. Then out of nowhere she heard screaming. She quickly opened her eyes and looked before her seeing Rainbow Dash very close to the sun...on fire.

Scootaloo watched in horror as her idol burned right in front of her face. As this happened Scootaloo tried to fly up to her not thinking of what she was going to do but didn't care she..she had to do something. But she was stopped short as the suns rays became brighter consuming her in a bright light of fire. Scootaloo was suprised that she wasn't burning in any way until the sun exploded and her skin turned into nothing but ash.

Ahhhhh! Scootaloo flung up from her bed, trying to open her eyes but her eyes had other plans, they wouldn't open. Having been woken up from that nightmare so quickly made her mind turn. She attempted to open her eyes again hoping this time they would respond, but once again they would not open.

At this point her eyes felt as though they have been weighted. Each attempt of opening them up became harder, like someone has glued them shut preventing her from opening them. Eventually her eyes flickered open, adjusting to the bright light that seemed to be staring down upon her with much enjoyment.

"Wait....why is there...a light?" Scootaloo managed to groan out the question still a little tired. As she adjusted she looked around her surroundings. It was a room just not her room up in the sky near cloudsdale. It looked as though she was in some sort of boxed up room. Metal tiles covering the floor, metal walls reaching high and low in the tiny metal room. As her eyes wondered even more she noticed some objects. A chair, a desk, the little light that attempted to blind her some moments ago, a toilet sitting near the desk and the chair, and the rough bed she was sleeping in.

"Wha-What happened? Were am I? Whats going on?" The questions were asked in her mind as she still looked around confused on what was happening to her.

She managed to get up a bit from her bed, her body ached in pain. She flung herself back to the bed hoping that it would ease the pain somehow. Scootaloo was confused even more now why were her muscles aching and why was she in a small boxed up room? Scootaloo regrettingly got up her body still being sore.

She felt a sharp pain near the area were her not yet discovered cutie mark was, but ignored it, too focused on why she was there and who could have been responsible for putting her in a cell. She moved her eyes to venture more about her surroundings. She stopped shortly noticing a tall steel door standing in front of her, with many locks on it. Examining the door she noticed many locks on it, and wondered if it was necessary to have so many.

Added onto the steel door was a scroll unfolded with RULES labeled on top of it. Scootaloo looked onto the giant word written in ink, then looked below it. It seemed that most of the scroll except the top was burnt off. Scootaloo stared at the ash filled scroll and wondered why the rules were gone. "Wait", Scootaloo said softly to herself. "Rules?" The thought of there being rules made all of this jail thing to seem like a game.

Scootaloo was now more confused than ever thoughts of maybe one of her friends pulling a trick on her  flourished through her mind, "could it be Rainbow Dash? Pinkie Pie. Those two always loved to pull pranks together so why should this be any different? "No..no they wouldn't go this far just to mess with me.

As Scootaloo said this she stared at the floor her eyes bobbling back and forth as she looked deeper into her mind on the topic. Finally she zoned out of her mind and caught up to her eye sight noticing something on the ground below the burnt scroll. It seemed to be a piece of paper. Scootaloo anxious picked up the paper with her hoof and noticed how worn down

and crumpled the paper was.

She glanced at the paper and was forced to squint her eyes due to its condition. "At least its readable," she said to herself.  It said, Rule #23 When all else fails...RUN!!! Scootaloo was now more confused than ever. Why would there be a rule to run and from what, she was locked up in a tiny room anyways how could she run anyways?

Scootaloo would of though more about the subject but the pain in her flank overwhelmed her from ignoring it any longer. She looked back at her flank and froze in a mix of shock and confusion. Her so called blank flank was now really blank. Her flank were the cutie mark should be was ripped clean off in a circular shape. She touched it hoping somehow it would ease the pain, but to no avail the feeling of her hoof touching against an open wound was too much.

A load of questions began to flourish in her mind as she bit her lip to the pain. Why is my flank gone? Why would someone do this? Did I get my cutie mark? And if i did, then who wouldn't want me to see it? The questions poured out of her mind like an open wound into words speaking so softly that even she couldn't hear it. After speaking out some of her many questions that crouded her mind. She realized that her mouth was really dry, like the desert sand in the heat of the hot sun.

Scootaloo was breathing hard now it being difficult for a filly to take this all in and still know almost nothing. She started to control her breathing wanting to be strong for her friends and mainly for Rainbow Dash. "Don't worry Rainbow Dash i'm not going soft on you now. I'll find a way out of here and be strong for you and for everyone else. Although she had thought this through, she had no idea what was going on so how could she find a way out of here? "There's not even one opening in this room, only way out is through the door." She sighed maybe there are ponies in this building. "ohhh ya why didn't i think of this before. If this place was made by ponies then they know how to operate it and they can help me get out." She began to jump around the room in joy that someone might come and save her.

"But wait if i got put in here on purpose then would the people not want me to escape?" Scootaloo's earlier joyful plan now faded, remembering that some crazy pony probably put her in there on purpose and didn't want her to leave. Then what are these rules? The question still ringing in her mind just as before. Now Scootaloo had no idea of how to escape this boxed up room.

Out of nowhere Scootaloo felt debilitated, her legs turned to jelly as she was barley able to stand. Why did she feel useless, as she asked this question to herself her vision began to fade. She wanted to fight it in hope that maybe she could break free from the darkness. But was sadly mistaken. Scootaloo felt her body sway to the left but oddly felt no pain come from her sore muscles. The inevitable came the darkness began to shut her eyes taking Scootaloo with it.
