Introductions

“Damn it” Blade fell on the ground in front of Twilight. She looked at him in fear. Why did he not kill her and her friends? If he wanted the battery so much why didn’t he? She looked at the monster once more and looked at the griffon. The griffon was next to his friend. The griffon smiled at his friend and then looks at her friends and her.

“Excuse me miss, you need to stay away from him,” the griffon spoke,” he is still very dangerous so please.”

Twilight and her friends backed away from him. The griffon nodded and picked his friend up and moved towards them.

“Please, all of you leave. You are in Green Lantern business here.” The griffon said. “Plus I think your friend over there needs help.” He pointed to Rainbow Dash, who is knocked out on the ground.

Twilight’s friends rushed towards Rainbow Dash, except for Twilight and Spike.

“Don’t worry Twi we got this,” said Apple Jack, “Just find out what is going on.”

Twilight and Spike walked towards the Green Lanterns, for questions like; why they are here and why are they telling them to leave if it’s part of their business too?

“Hey,” yelled Twilight, “this is our business too. What gives you the right come here and fight? Then leave without that creature’s punishment.”

The griffon was surprise by this. Don’t tell me these ponies royal. “Look um…”

“Twilight Sparkle and this is my assistant, Spike.”

Crap! The elements are here and that Red Lantern attack one of them. “Look Miss Sparkle, you don’t know what you and your kingdom are dealing with. Just let us go take him and…”

“No,” Twilight interrupted, “you, your friend and this creature here are going to Cantorlot.”

Ah oh, wait. What she going to do? All I need to do is take this two and go to Oa. The griffon smirked. “And how are you going to do that? I don’t think you are strong enough to take me, my friend, my enemy, your friends, and yourself to Cantorlot.” the griffon laughed. “Plus I am way more powerful than you so.”

“Powerful than me maybe,” Twilight said then smirked, “but I know a pony who can.”

“Who?” questioned the griffon?

“ME!” the griffon turned around to the new voice. It’s no other than Princess Celestia.

Great now I have to face the Princess, elements, and Red Lantern. This day keeps getting better and better. She came closer with preparing to punish them. What should I do? Talk to her, run away, fight her? I charged up my ring, but my sergeant stops me.

“What are you doing Beowulf?” he whispers. “You don’t want to make us look bad even more just explain the situation.” Beowulf nodded while his sergeant rest again.

Beowulf put his sergeant down and turned towards Celestia. “Um…Good evening Princess Celestia, I a-“

“SILENCE,” Celestia cuts him using her Cantorlot voice, “how dare you hurt one of the elements and threaten the rest.”

“Please princess let me ex-“

“Why should I,” using her normal voice, “you are a griffon that was probably sent to assassinate the elements from your superiors.”

“NO! I was here to protect them from him.”  Beowulf said pointing at the red lantern. “If I did not stop him, HE would have killed them and this entire planet. So you should be thanking me and helping my sergeant. Plus I have a name, it’s Beowulf.”

He was looking at her angry, until the Celestia speaks, “I am sorry Beowulf, and I should not have jumped to conclusions. But seeing that one of the Elements hurt and my ponies threaten by powerful creatures I do anything to protect them.”

Celestia looks at him for forgiveness. Beowulf smiled, “Its ok you were protecting your ponies, but I have to take him back to Oa.”

Beowulf moved toward the red lantern, but Celestia stops him, “No he needs to face justice for harming and threatening the Elements. He needs to go to Cantorlot.”

Beowulf, Twilight, and Spike mouths dropped. Why take a monster over there? He will destroy and kill everything in his path. “Princess no offense, but have you seen this ‘human’ fight? He took out my sergeant and one of the Elements without breaking a sweat. He spits blood acid that melts you away. Rage consumes him he will kill everything in his path. You and your sister can’t reason him.”

Celestia raised her brow, “Are you saying that my sister and I can’t handle him.”

“Yes!”

“How?”

“You see that?” Beowulf said point at the red battery, “That is a battery meant for red lanterns. It powers them up to help them defeat their enemies.”

“Well that’s simple we take it away from him,” Said Twilight.

Beowulf shook his head, “No it’s not. They will get angry, making them more powerful and desperate to take it back. But why does he need it? All red lanterns can constantly generate their power.”

“Well with me, my sister, the Elements, and you, we could hold him,” said Celestia.

“Yeah but the other problem is that he is like an animal.”

“What do you mean?” question Twilight.

“No matter how many times you talk to them, they can’t understand you. All they know is kill first and never asked questions.”

“So how can we?”

“Well I don’t know only my sergeant knows, but he is critically injured.”

Celestia nodded, “Then we must go to Cantorlot, locked this ‘Red Lantern’ in the dungeon, and heal your friend.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. What about your people? If he gets out he will kill everything.”

Twilight put her hoof on her chin, “Well even if he could we have the elements. We can trap him in stone like we did with Discord.”

“My student is right.” Said Celestia she charged up her horn and teleported everyone to Cantorlot.

“Princess” bowed the guards. Then the guards saw Beowulf, his sergeant and the Red Lantern next to the princess. They prepare to arrest them, but Celestia stops them.

“Don’t worry my guards. The Beowulf and his friend are friends, but the red one is going to the dungeon for punishment,” said Celestia.

“Yes Princess” The guards saluted and dragged the Red Lantern to the dungeons.

“Private”

“Yes Princess.”

“Take Beowulf’s friend to the infirmary and heal him.” The guard nodded and takes the injured Green Lantern. After the guard left the room Rainbow woke up.

“Ugh what happen,” Rainbow said while rubbing her head.

“Rainbow!” her friends cheered and hugged her.

Rainbow chuckled, “Oh come on, and I’m fine just tell me what happen?” Rainbow’s friends backed away. She looked at them confused, “What’s wrong?”

Beowulf walked up to her and her friends then greeted then, “Hello my name is Beowulf of the Green Lantern Corps, um nice to meet you.”

Rainbow looked at him then tackled him on the ground, “Run girls I got this griffon.”

Then she was picked up by a green aura that was from the griffon. “Hey I am the guy who saves you and your friend’s ass. You should be saving me!”

“Everypony calm down!” yelled Fluttershy. Everyone looked at her and then hide behind her mane. “Eep, S-sorry but Beowulf is telling the truth.”

“Yeah sugar cube he save us from that Red Lantern fella,” said Apple Jack.

“See I save you and your friends so peace?” Beowulf said will setting free Rainbow.

He pull out will claw to Rainbow and then she shook it, “Fine but I will keep an eye on you.”

“Good now we must meet my sister and talked about you, your friend, and that Red Lantern.” Celestia said and started to walked towards the castle.

The others nodded and walk with her with Beowulf behind them. This is going to be a long day. Beowulf thought.
