Hearts of Corruption

The next morning, I woke up. "Gah..." I said while trying to get up "What happened....?". I got up and noticed that my right hoof was in bandages again. I opened the door and looked around. I noticed that I was in a hospital room...But there was nopony here. "Where's everypony?" I said to myself. I walked downstairs and opened the front entrance doors, only to see the thing I never wanted to see... I saw ponies running away, getting beaten down, and questioned from the troops. "What the hell?!" I yelled. I then saw Mei and Tyrant battling the troops and ran to catch up with them. "LEON!" Mei yelled while running towards me, giving me a big hug. I gave her a big hug back. "Nice to know you're back to normal." Tyrant said. "Yeah. What's happening?" I asked, still having Mei hugging me. "The troops are so desperate on killing us that they started attacking the other ponies." Tyrant answered. I said nothing, keeping my rage inside of my body."I'm glad you're back. I was worried about you." Mei said while crying a little, letting go of me. "I'm sorry..." I responded. "THERE THEY ARE! GET THEM!" Troop #1 yelled. "Looks like we've got company." Tyrant said, getting ready to shoot. "Let's do this." I said getting my sword ready. "Yeah." Mei responded, putting her gloves on her two front hooves.

After a couple of minutes, we were done killing the troops. "Damn...They were a lot of them this time." I said. "Hello." A voice came. "Who's that?" I asked. "Heh....Who else?" Jack said, chuckling. "Jack!" I said angrily. "Leon... you have a choice to make: Either to fight me one on one or to defend this pathetic town and die from me." Jack said. "...." I paused for a minute. "Don't worry." Tyrant  said, putting her hoof on my shoulder "We'll defend the town. Go defeat him for us!". "Alright...I entrust you guys with defending the ponies" I said walking towards Jack. "Wait! LEON!" Mei yelled. "Yeah?" I responded, turning around. "Be careful....Okay?" Mei said. "Yeah... I promise that I'll be back." I said. "Alright." Mei responded. "I never break my promises." I said. "Alright...I believe in you." Mei responded again. "Alright Jack....Let's go!" I said. "Let's..." Jack said flying away. I followed Jack and seeing Tyrant and Mei battling the troops and thinking: "Can I really do this...?".
