Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie: Captor & Captive
Chapter 2

Saturday, early morning.
Rainbow the caretaker
A new day was slowly but surely dawning in Ponyville. Across the sky birds chirped their serenade to the rising sun as it crested the horizon. Everypony was beginning their morning routine to take on a glorious new day filled with sunshine, friendship, magic, and... ah... pony-stuff.
Unfortunately for our four friends and their captive fifth, today's dawn was the start of a long and exhausting day. Last night as they had left Ponyville's premier sweet shop with their oblivious captive, it soon became clear that they had not really thought the plan through beyond this point.
"So, uhh..." Applejack began while leaning into her harness alongside Rainbow Dash, the two of them pulling the cart along a dirt road, "What actually is the plan now that we've made it this far?".
"Seriously? Are you that apple-headed?" Rainbow interrupted her, "At this point in the operation it's clear we need to... eh, well... But we could also... Hmm... Twilight? Rarity? Little help?" Dash said to her two other partners in crime who were seated on the cart behind her.
"Sorry, what was that Rainbow, darling?" Rarity was clearly paying more attention to the pink mare trusted up underneath the blanket, softly stroking Pinkie Pie's mane and making sure she wasn't too cold. Even though they had never shared much in the way of common interests, she had developed a fondness for her partying friend in the time since they had all come together to defeat Nightmare Moon. Needless to say she was also quite fond of sharing one of her more,..color full activities with one of her friends, even if that certain friend was not aware of it yet. But of course she would never take advantage of anypony in a situation like this one, especially not a friend like Pinkie. Besides that, it was quite apparent to one as versed in such things as Rarity was that Pinkie wouldn't return her interest. She had come to see that Pinkie was waiting for a certain somepony else to literally swoop down and sweep her off her hooves.
"Well, Dash," Twilight eventually began, "To be honest I think we all bit the apple too hard with not thinking this whole thing through. But first things first, we need to bring Pinkie someplace safe and out of sight, then we can think about where to go from there".
"Gee, you really think so Twillight?" Rainbow quipped sarcastically.
Pointedly ignoring her fellow wagon pulling friend, Applejack chimed in with an idea.
"Well I guess that we could find a spot fer her at Sweet Apple Acres, plenty of places to use that're warm, secure and-"
"NO!" Rarity shouted, causing the others to jump in fright, the cart lurching to a stop. Three sets of startled and questioning eyes stared directly at the stylish fashionista (and full time drama queen). Rarity knew she needed to think fast to explain her outburst.
"Well......Applejack, to be honest the farm isn't really the best of places with Macintosh and not to mention Apple Bloom always about."
Rarity's quick response seemed logical to them, yet she still had to watch her step so they would all go along with what she had in mind.
"I was actually thinking that it would be best if we kept Pinkie Pie at Rainbow Dash her house."
"WHAT THE HAY!?!" Dash screamed (with such a volume that it if sound was visible it would cover the entire land of Equestria, then the entire globe and finally all of space.), "Rarity, please tell me you're either joking or really wanted to scare me." The Pegasus asked her friend while already fearing the awnser.
"I'm serious, darling!" Rarity responded while checking if Pinkie was still asleep. Soft mumbling could be heard from underneath the tape covering her muzzle but otherwise she was still in dreamland. “Your place is in the clouds darling, it's comfortable, secure, and almost nopony ever comes to your place because of your.....free spirited lifestyle," She explained.
“Gee thanks” Rainbow muttered a little annoyed. “But your forgetting one thing, Pinkie's not a Pegasus, so how the hay can she stay up there?"
Dash was almost certain that she had Rarity on the ropes with that. Unfortunately, Rarity wasn't a pony to back down easily.
"It's not a problem, darling," She explained, "Twilight has perfected her cloud-walking spell for extended use, isn't that right dear?"
"Actually i did, it’s still not completely perfect, but i should be able to let it last for at least a week" Twilight replied, immediately receiving a glare from Dash.
"Excellent, and since you're taking care of Pinkie, the three of us can go back to Twilight's and search for a solution to our problem. Her books should tell us if there's anyway to make Pinkie less of a blabbermouth, so to speak." The indigo-maned unicorn finished, beaming with a satisfied smile.
"Well, yeah, we could do that but... how about instead... um..." Rainbow said while thinking up a new excuse. It wasn't that she was entirely against taking care of Pinkie, but she also knew it was Pinkie they were talking about after all. It would be the longest weekend of her life.
'Wait, that's it!'
"Ah! Well, what if this thing takes longer then the weekend?" Rainbow suddenly asked, "I still have my weather-mare duties on Monday so yeah, we can't leave Pinkie alone while I’m getting all those clouds in gear!"
Once again Rainbow thought she had found a flaw in Rarity's plan. Once again, she was wrong.
"Oh don't worry, darling," The alabaster diva replied, "If this does take longer then the weekend any of us could watch her during the day, and when you get home we can go back to help with the research." Rarity's reply delivered the final blow to all of Rainbow Dash's protests since she was all out of excuses.
Dash gave up on words with a groan. She turned her head and stared back at Pinkie's prone form for a long time.
Applejack was eventually the one to break the silence, "Look whatever y'all plan on doing, do it fast. Sun is up already and I reckon that stuff you used isn't lasting forever" she said while pointing at Pinkie who was now turning a little in her sleep while making muffled sounds into her gag.
"Ugh, fine!" Rainbow said, finally giving in, "But the moment I can't take it or have other obligations, you guys are bailing me out!"
"Of course, darling," Rarity said while her horn began to glow. "Twilight dear, would you kindly cast your spell so Pinkie can stay safely up the clouds?"
"Of course Rarity, i can practically dream this spell so it shouldn’t take longer then a few seconds ".
Twilight had been practicing and perfecting this spell for so long that she had completely memorized it with no fear of it being miscast (Or removed by a pink blabbering computer virus). After the spell was cast the two unicorns started using their magic to simultaneously, Twilight to lift Pinkie up while Rarity wrapped the blanket loosely around her so she wouldn't get cold on the flight.
Dash had already moved away from the cart while Rarity rummaged into her saddlebag to grab the blindfold and magically bind it over Pinkie's eyes.
"There, that way she won't get too scared if she opens her eyes" Rarity said, obviously being proud of her idea.
"Ugh... w-whatever..." Dash replied, momentarily distracted by the feeling of Pinkie's warm body across her back. "I'm leaving, you guys get to it and let me know the moment you find something."
"We will Rainbow" Twilight said while taking one last look at Pinkie's still sleeping form, though less soundly than a few hours ago. While Applejack stroked Pinkie's mane, receiving a moan from the earth party pony in reply, Twilight could only stare at her guiltily. Of course they wouldn't hurt her or anything like that, but it was still weird to forcefully change their friend, even when she was driving them all up the apple-tree....right?
A sudden hoof on her shoulder startled her; Rarity was next to Twilight giving her a warm smile. This seemed to relax Twilight as she watched Rarity walk over towards Dash and the bound pastry chef on her back.
"Don't Worry Pinkie, you just enjoy your weekend and I'll make sure your caretaker sees exactly what kind of special pony you really are” the Fashion Unicorn whispered into her captive friends ear.
"Mmmmmmgmm..." Pinkie suddenly mumbled a bit loudly, causing the four friends to break from their reverie.
"Alright, I’m off!" Dash said as she took to the air, angling for home with the pink pony aboard.
As the three friends on the ground watched the pegasus take of towards the air, Applejack was still curious about why Rarity was so pushy the entire time about getting Dash to take care of Pinkie. Surely it would have been much simpler to stash Pinkie with her or even at Rarity's boutique or Twilight's library.
"So Rarity,” Applejack began, "What's with Rainbow taking care of Pinkie, care to explain?"
"Oh no reason darling" Rarity replied. "I'm just a simple, fabulous, hopelessly romantic, brilliant plotting magical unicorn who also has the best fashion sense in all of Equestria."
"Well eh, that doesn’t really explain anyt-" Applejack began but at the last minute decided that it was best to continue her question after she and the others had some sleep. "Let's just get a few hours sleep and meet up at Twilight's library."
"Excellent idea." Rarity replied, looking over at Twilight who was still looking up at the sky, "Are you okay with that, Twilight?"
Twilight suddenly shook herself, looking away from the sky and towards her two friends staring at her. "Yeah, of course. Good idea, Rarity."
"Alright then, see y’all around three'ish" Applejack said while grabbing the now empty cart and dragging it by herself towards the farm.
"Yes, see you two at the Library," Rarity said while looking at Twilight, and with that she took off towards Carousel Boutique for some well deserved beauty sleep.
"Yeah... see you girls..." Twilight replied lost in thought. She was hoping Pinkie wouldn't be too scared and that Rainbow would take good care of her. But they all agreed to this plan and they had to see it through now.
While Twilight was readying herself to head for home, suddenly the big question popped into her head.
'Wait, how am i going to get inside my home? It's still locked!'
