Nopony showed up...

There was a knock at Twilight's door.

"Hiya Twilight!" Pinkie said happily as Twilight opened the door "I'm throwing a party for Gummy's third birthday! I hope you can come!" she dug through her saddle bag and pulled out an envelope.

"I'll try to make it, Pinkie." Twilight said as she levitated the envelope next to her, closing the door as she walked to a table and plopped down. She tossed the envelope aside and opened a book, starting to study it carefully.

"You gonna go to her party?" Spike asked walking up behind her

"Probably not, Pinkie throws so many parties... she just tires me out." Twilight replied, continuing to study the book.

The ponies each carried on with their usual business and finally the day of the party had arrived. Pinkie rushed back and forth preparing Sugar Cube Corner. A loud timer went off, alerting Pinkie that the first guest would arrive soon and she raced to the door excitedly.

"Pinkie, dear..." Mrs. Cake said after about an hour "I'm sorry, but I don't think your friends are coming..."

"Of course they are!" Pinkie smiled, trying to hide her worry "They're just a bit late."

"Okay, Pinkie..." Mrs. Cake sighed "Well... would you at least go to the back and check on the batter?"

"Okay!" Pinkie exclaimed, jumping up, Gummy in hand. She walked through the kitchen and opened a metal door, walking into the room.
