Fabric here. Thread there. A mannequin knocked on the ground. Rarity dug everywhere in her room to find them. She knew they had to be there- they had to be somewhere! "I can't be all out of gems!" She shrieked. She heard Sweetie Belle groan from her room.

She was sure she had plenty of gems, and she needed them to finish off her most recent design. Then she thought. I'll bet Sweetie Belle took them! "Sweetie Belle, get here this instant!" With wide eyes glittering and confused, the small white unicorn emerged through the door, walking carefully. Rarity could be pretty harsh when she was mad, for the element of generosity.

"I know you took them!" Rarity scolded. Sweetie Belle blinked and tilted her head. "What?"

"My diamonds!"

"What use would I have of your rocks?" Sweetie Belle replied, honestly but with a hint of sarcasm in her tone. Rarity's chest heaved in. "I'm sorry, Sweetie... I just needed these diamonds to finish my design." Rarity said, suddenly calm. Sweetie Belle's tail was already trailing through the doorway by the time Rarity looked back at where she was. She was abundantly pretty annoyed with Rarity freaking out about her gems.

After looking around once more to make sure she hadn't missed her gems, Rarity organized her stuff all over again. She just needed these gems! She decided to head out and search for some diamonds so she could finish her carefully planned design. "Be right back, Sweetie Belle," She called as she dashed past her younger sister's room and bulleted out the door. She thought she heard her sister say something in reply as she surged through the entrance.

She skidded to a halt and then casted her spell for which her horn would attract hidden jewels, gems, crystals, and diamonds. She looked around but found nothing at all, even after traveling at least 30 or so blocks from the Carousel Boutique. Although that didn't seem very far, she would always find at least a few scattered gems here and there. A wave of shock fell over her as she felt her horn glow and a force, almost like magnet, pulled her towards something. It had to be something amazing. She stopped when she saw Twilight and Spike speaking. Unable to be seen from her distance, she inch towards them. Twilight seemed to be levitating something. She was holding up a nice looking royal blue book, with beautifully added varieties of diamonds, and of every color she could think of. She could barely hear the purple unicorn speaking, but she could make out the words: "This is the one book I don't have- I believe it is called The Diamond Book."

Rarity's eyes glowed. It looked promising- the name sounded promising, too. She backed up so Twilight wouldn't see her eavesdropping on the scene. She watched as Twilight opened the book. She gasped when she looked at the pages. She flipped through the pages with her jaw dropped. If she was so shocked by that book, then it must be AMAZING! Rarity thought to herself. Even Spike eyed the book with wonder.

The white unicorn wanted to go and get that book so badly. It could help her find some gems to finish her dress! But Twilight was clearly searching through the book with a considerate look in her eyes, and being the generous pony she is, Rarity knew that it would be wrong to take it.

But if it wasn't right to take it, then Rarity would want to be wrong.
