Friendship is Nexus

The Summer Sun celebration had never been held in the same location two years in a row. But given the previous years incident with Nightmare Moon, Celestia figured an exception could be made. All the ponies in town were excited to hear they could "redo" last year so to speak. The Mayor was very adamant about making this year perfect. She promised albeit in a falsely polite manner that if anypony messed this up she would make their lives extremely unpleasant.

This meant practically everypony was working extra hard to make absolutely sure nothing goes wrong. The entire event  had been planned out to the tiniest detail. Nopony wanted to be on the receiving end of Mayor Mare's onslaught. Little did anypony know that there was another plan being perfected at the same time. This plan however, did not involve ponies having fun. Quite the opposite in fact.

Nopony had seen or heard very much of the Elements of harmony in the past week. Someponies started to wonder what exactly was keeping them from helping prepare for the Celebration. However, most ponies had no time to wonder as they were to busy with their own preparations to worry about it. Celestia and Luna themselves would be attending the event so everything had to be perfect.

"Everything has to be perfect." said Twilight Sparkle

"Yeah yeah, we've been over this a thousand times times already Twilight."said Rainbow Dash.

"And we will go over it a thousand more times so we can make sure this plan goes perfectly!" snarled Twilight.

Rainbow shrinks back in her seat after the outburst from Twilight.

"Hey there sugar cube there aint no need to go biting Rainbows head off." said Applejack putting a hoof on Twilight's shoulder reassuringly."Ya'll know were all a little on edge considering what were planning and all."

Twilight shrugs off the hoof coldly.

"Perhaps Applejack, but if we expect to pull this off all of us need to control our emotions." said twilight casting a glance at fluttershy huddled in the corner "All of us."

Fluttershy looks up and makes an attempt at speech but it ends up a near inaudible squee.

"Excuse me?" Twilight inquired.

"I said im just a little scared by the prospect of what were doing." said Fluttershy just barely loud enough for everypony to hear her.

"Oh your scared?" asked Twilight mockingly "Well its to late for fear Fluttershy this is happening in less than two hours" said Twilight.

She then turns to the rest of the group "This has to happen tonight." Twilight pauses for effect "This is the most important thing we have ever done before."

"We can not afford to mess this up." said Twilight.

"Does anyone have anypony have anything more to add?" asked Twilight "No? Then lets make our way to greet the princess."
