The Enchanted Alicorn

"AHHHHHH!" Leafpool screamed as the vines twined up her legs and across her chest towards her back. The cave was now lit up with the light of the growing vines.

She was still running deeper into the cave. Her legs were trembling with fear and sadness as the thought of her dead friend she had left behind skipped across her mind. Leafpool's eyes began to close. They were tearing up.

Leafpool's eyes flew open and she stopped in her tracks as she felt water on her forehooves. "What?" she whispered to herself and looked into the water. The water was glowing blue just as the vines twisting and twirling, covering every inch of her body.

Leafpool's reflection rippled as a tear dropped into the water. Suddenly the cave went completely dark. She whirled around and could see no light that way either. She sniffed and turned back to the water.  A sudden dripping sound filled the cave. A rippling picture of Princess Celestia appeared across the water. "P-Princess?" Leafpool gasped

"Leafpool...." Celestia's voice echoed through the cave. "You are the only pony that can save us." Her face disappeared, Leafpool sat down on the cold stone floor. "How? I'm just a stupid, useless, dumb pony," She murmured to herself. "I'm not special."

The pool lit up once more. Something dropped from the roof and floated down into the pool. There were five things actually, and they were leaves. This pool now resembled Leafpool's cutie mark. She looks back into the pool and jumps back. With a thud, she landed on the floor.

She couldn't believe what she saw. She creeps back towards the pool and looks in. Leafpool pinches herself at what she sees. she had been turned into an alicorn! "Wha- HOW!!!!"

Leafpool grabs her left wing and moves it a little. The water ripples and Princess Luna appears. The royal pony reaches a hoof out of the water. She lifts herself up and stands by the enchanted alicorn. "Why me?" Leafpool turns to Luna. "Because, you were the one that discovered this cave and you were the one with the strength to keep running." The princess of the night stares deeply into the darkened pond she stepped through.

"I am going to give you all the strength and knowledge you will need." Luna's horn formed a magical arura. She turned towards Leafpool. "Close your eyes." Leafpool obeyed. The princess leaned forward and touched her horn to the enchanted ponys.

zAfter the spell was completed, Leafpool became very tired. "It's ok, dearest Leafpool... Sleep. Me and my sister will do all we can for now. When you awaken, the fate of all Equestria is in your hooves." Luna walked back onto the water and vanished.
