Final hours

Darkness.

With every dark place there is always light and when that light gives out another replaces it.

I woke up huffing and puffing I felt a burning sensation on my chest I looked down to see blood covered  bandages on my chest. The last thing I saw was Pinkie holding a gun looking as she regretted her choice.

I got up from the bed and made my way to the main room to see the girls comfort Pinkie I hid in the corner not trying to alert them of my presences.

"It's alright sugarcube you did it to save Robert." Applejack said to Pinkie

"Yeah it's alright we promise we'll get ya home soon and we can forget about this place." Rainbow said

"It's not that I never killed anything before it just frighting." Pinkie said

"I know it's traumatic Pinkie but you need to learn to live with." Twilight said

"But how is she going to live with it darling we live in a world where death only occurs if pony's grow to old age." Rarity said

"But she did it to save Robert and I think Ruby would be happy to see her brother alive." Fluttershy said

I entered the room startling them. Pinkie then spoke up.

"How do you do it?" Pinkie asked me

"Do what?" I responded

"The killing how do you forget."

"I don't I learn to live with it."

"But why is it easy for you to kill." Pinkie asked

I closed my eyes and sighed. "I do it for my sister. I do it because I promised my mother and father that I'll give her a good home. No matter where I am I will not break my promise and I still have a lot to do. Now I think it's time we leave this cabin and head into town."

"Why?" Pinkie asked

"Because we need to find that observatory and get you girls home." I said walking away to my room.

I looked at my tattered clothes a button up long sleeve shirt it seems to be washed of its blood and sewed who did this and why. I put on my shirt and grabbed my hoister belt and put it around my waist. I picked up my knife and sheathed it. My gun which was still with Pinkie was the thing that saved me why did she do it.

My thoughts were then interrupted by Pinkie I turned to see her big blue eyes she looked beautiful but her hair still straight and her color looked a little gray.

"Robert. Can I tell you something?" She asked

"What is it Pinkie." I asked

She approached me and gave me a hug. I was surprised by the sudden affection I wrapped my arms around her she hugged me a bit tighter.

"I'm sorry for running." She told me in a whisper

"It's not your fault Pinkie you were scared and I forgive you I couldn't be mad at you."

"Really?"

"Of course. I just want to see that happy Pinkie again." I said to her I know I haven't known her long but she's cute and deserves better. Her mane and tail became poofy again as she walked out of my room.

"Your awake thank god does anything hurt?" Ruby asked very worried

"Yes Ruby I'm okay don't worry just feel sore is all. Look we need to go to town and get a map from the library."

"Woah woah woah we just can't waltz in to town it's infested with walkers and crawlers." Ruby stated

"Look I know we can't go inside but what if we had something to keep us protected like a shield." I said to Ruby

"Hmm maybe you're right we just need someone or somepony to do it."

"No it's too risky I'm not risking their life's we can do something else do. I remember passing by a downed helicopter maybe it has some flares we can use or medical supplies." I told her

"Okay but how are we going to convince them to come with us. Wait wait I have an idea." Ruby said

She walked outside of the room I just looked at her what does she have up her sleeve.

I followed suit and looked at our bag of supplies we were dangerously low on medical supplies since they used most of the painkillers on me and the gauze too.

Stupidly I picked up the duffle bag and slung it over my shoulder. I wave of pain rushed through my body as kneeled. Pinkie quickly rushed over to me.

"Are you okay?" Pinkie asked

"Never better." I said grunting

"Let me hold that for ya sugarcube." Applejack said to me

I handed her the bag she quickly looked into it she saw the shotgun I had stored.

"Hmmm this must be the problem." She said as she pulled out my Benelli M4 combat shotgun. It weighed about 8 pounds and the bag full of supplies weighed about 25 pounds without the damn gun.

"Heh whoops." I said as she handed me the gun. AJ then put the duffle bag over her shoulder.

My sister only gave a small chuckle at my stupidity and hoistered her dual Browning Hi-Power pistol which she called Bonnie and Clyde don't know why but hey I don't know a lot about woman.

"Well let's go." I said as held my shotgun to my side.

"Stick close and don't make any noise what so ever do I make myself clear." I said to all of my companions they all nodded

We proceed to walk on a trail near the cabin as we walked we heard some crazed screaming I knew what exactly what it was a runner looking for a meal I turned to see Fluttershy holding on to Applejack.

I sighed and whistled. "Come on big guy come and get me." I yelled

"What are you doing." Twilight asked seemingly anger

"Look don't worry Ruby take them away from here I rather not let them see this." I said

"No we aren't leaving." Pinkie said bluntly

"What?" I asked

"We stay by you remember what you said stay together." She said pulling my pistol from her waistband of her short skirt.

Just then runners spotted us and screamed they rushed towards us only to be stopped by a shotgun blast to the chest I saw the runners intestines come out. The foul smelling Oder wafted walkers spotted us Ruby lit one of her bows on fire pulled the string and cooked the walker from the inside. Pinkie aimed at one of the walkers calming her breathing and shot the gun the bullet traveled towards the walker and killed it instantly.

I walked towards Pinkie her expression changed from calm and content to happy and excited.

"Uh Pinkie you okay?" I asked

"Of course silly willy I'm okay." She gave me a quick peck on the lips and walked off. Her friends rushed towards her minus AJ.

"What just happened there." AJ asked

"Did ya do anything when Pinkie talked to you." AJ asked

"I think somepony likes me." I said still in disbelief I mean we shouldn't we're different species. But goddamn she is fucking sexy.

"Keep calm lover boy; if you think you could just seduce her like that you got another thing coming you're mine until we leave the library." She said with a serious voice

"What'd you mean yours." I asked

"Oh you'll know once get to the library." she gave me seductive smile and kissed me.

I was confused at what she meant by hers and why the sudden change I mean I was looking at her flanks her hips were swaying seductively.

Ugh woman why are they so complicated.

We quickly made it back to the group I saw Ruby talking to twilight about something I really didn't care since we still needed to find the helicopter.

And with a stroke of luck we found the helicopter.

"Yes finally." I stated as I enter the copter I looked around and saw some medical supplies mostly painkillers. I found a small wooden chest inside was a journal and a revolver with six bullets. As I looked more I saw some flares I jumped out of the crashed copter to find the girls sitting down on rocks.

"So what did ya find." AJ asked

"I found some medical supplies,flares,a journal,and a revolver." I took out the .44 revolver and spinned the chamber.

"Pinkie you can have that silenced glock." I said pinkie rushed over and hugged me.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyouit meanssomuchtomeicantevendescribehowhappyiam." She said fast

"Uh your welcome AJ you can keep the auto shotty." I said

"Thank ya kindly Robert." She gave me a tip of her hat and a sexy smile.

"Let's get going we need to get to the library." I swore to everything that I saw twilight's ears perk up at the mention of library.

EQUESTRIA

"Sister sister I have something to tell you." Luna said as she walked into the the throne room

"Yes what is it Luna." Celestia asked

"I have researched the planetary changes they have occurred since the disappearance of the elements it seems we aren't alone in this universe." Luna stated

"What do you?" Celestia asked

"What I mean is that twilight and her friends must be somewhere safe and sound. Have you noticed a planet that looks like a marble?" Luna asked

"Yes I recall that what of it."

"Well it seems a large magical surge has disturbed the planet and that magical feel is the same as Twilight."

"So what your saying is."

"Twilight and her friends are safe and sound."

"If that magical surge goes away then that means she's dead." Celestia stated

"Yes we must act quick and retrieve the element bearers." Luna said
