My love is shy.

I woke up at the crack of dawn, in the room fluttershy and I now share, and stood to my feet heading to the bathroom. I proceeded to take my, only clothing that I had on at the time, underwear off. I turned the shower on and waited for the water to heat up. As I waited I picked out my clothes for the current day; a purple polo, blue jeans, and a black jacket. I placed my left arm under the water and felt it burn up on impact.

“That should do it” I thought stepping in shower. I stood under the shower head and soaked my body for about three minutes. I then grabbed the soap and started spreading the cleaning material across my person. I rinsed off and grabbed the shampoo bottle. Squeezing the bottle, a little bit of the shampoo came out onto my hand and I started motioning it around my head.

Having the shampoo covering my hair I placed it into the middle of the falling water and began to scrub. Feeling fresh and clean I tuned the nozzle to off and stepped out of the tub grabbing a towel. I dried off and threw the towel into the hamper by the sink. I grabbed a dry wash cloth and cleared some of the steam off of the mirror. I saw that my beard and mustache were growing back and decided that I’ll take care of it another day.

I took my tooth brush and spread a little bit of tooth paste on it. Turning on the cold water I held the brush under it. Water collapsed on it causing the water to splash on my wrist. Before I could scrub my teeth fluttershy opened the door and said “good morning. I’m making breakfast. It should be ready when you’re done” “Thank you” I said leaning over to her and kissed her lips.

She closed the door back and I continued cleaning my teeth. I spat out the liquid paste and wiped my mouth off. I pulled my jeans up to my waist and slipped into my purple polo. I grabbed my jacket and left the room. I walked down the stars, into the kitchen, and sat next to royal charmer who was in a baby seat eating grapes off of the table.

“Hey tiger” I said rubbing his head. Fluttershy placed two plates on the table; one for me and her. “Hey, honey” she said taking a seat across from me. “Hey. So what are you going to do today?” I asked taking a bight of toast. “I think I’ll take royal out to the park” she said drinking her orange juice. We finished up and I said “I hope you two have a fun day. I got to go to work” I said putting on my jacket and shoes.

I kissed fluttershy on the lips for four seconds then I ran out the door. Walking for an hour I reached my job sight. I now work in construction. I build homes, fix homes, make furniture, and build businesses. “Hey stride” I said walking up to my mint green partner.

“Hey, troy, I need your help. Can you carry these boards over there?” he asked pointing at the side of an half built house. I agreed and lifted the twelve planks of wood to the home. I dropped them do the ground and equipped my tool belt. “Ready to work?” I asked turning to stride. “I was born ready” he said handing me a box of nails.

Three to four hours passed by as me and stride cut the wood, measured the length to match the house’s, nailing the planks in place on the wall, and painted it to the same color brown as the rest. Wiping the sweet from my brow I asked stride “hey, you know fluttershy right” “yeah” he said taking a seat on his wagon. “I love her, man, but it feels like I’m not any good for her. I mean I know she loves me, but there must be something more I could do” I said sitting next to him. “Well I’m no counselor, but if you love her so much why don’t you propose.”

“You know I've thought about that before and thinking about it now it is the best thing I want for her” I said leaning forward. “Where are you going to pop the question?” he asked as a sheet of paper blew in front of us. I picked it up and saw that it was a flier for an upcoming celebration at the canterlot castle. “Here” I said handing him the paper. “If this place is where you want to ask her you better get the ring fast. This party starts in a week” he said taking a beer out of his cooler.

“Do you know anypony who can give me a deal?” I asked leaning back. “No, don’t you have an old friend who works with Jules, gems, diamonds, and sapphires?” he said taking a sip of his beer. “Yeah I’ll go have a talk with her. Do you want to come?” I asked standing up. “Na you go on I need to head back home” he said hooking the wagon to his settle. I waved him good bye and walked to the middle of the town.

I knocked on rarity’s door and a “just a moment” answered. The door opened and rarity said “hello, troy, it is nice to see you again.” “Hello rarity. Can I see what rings you have for sell?” I asked entering the doorway.  “Absolutely. What kind do you have in mind?” she asked pulling out a various selection of rings. “Do you have engagement rings” I asked seeing her right eyebrow rise.

“Engagement rings? Who are you going to ask? Oh you have to tell me!” she yelled leaning in on me. “Do you promise not to tell anypony?” I asked. “Yes” she said “Pinky promise?” I said remembering what happens to me and those who broke a pinky promise. “Cross my heart, hope to fly, and stick a cup cake in my eye” she said doing various motions that flowed the words.
