My love is shy.

“Now who is it?” she asked pulling out the engagement rings. “I want to ask fluttershy at the gala next week” I said looking over the rings. “Fluttershy?” she said with interest. “Yeah, I want to keep this a surprise” I said picking up a ring that had diamonds swirled around the mid-section “how about this one?” “But that’s the most expensive one. It’s over four- thousand bits” she said a little surprised.

“Is there any way for the price to be lowered?” I asked remembering that I only have twenty five hundred bits. “No I’m sorry, but I do have a business to run” she said defying me. “Fine, I guess I’ll go somewhere else” I said hopping that she’ll take the bait. I walked to the door and grabbed the handle. “Wait!” she yelled falling for my trick “just because you two are my dearest friends I will lower it to one thousand.”

I walked back over to her and paid for the ring thanking her on the way out. Night was setting and I returned home. I opened the door and said “Honey I’m home!” in a comedic since. “Hello troy. How was work?” she asked coming out of the kitchen. “We finished the siding. Tomorrow we’ll fix the roof. How was your day?” I said sitting down in the chair next to me.

She sat on the couch and said “It was fine. Royal drew something for you” handing me a sheet of paper. It was a drawing of me in a tuxedo weighting, at the end of a red carpet, for fluttershy who was in a white wedding dress.  “He drew this?” I asked handing it back to her. “Yup, I think it’s cute of him to do that” she said looking at it.

“You now the gala is only a week away” I said. “Yeah, but I don’t have enough money to buy a ticket” she said placing the drawing on the table in front of us. “Would you like to go?” I asked leaning forward. “Yes” she said. “Then let me worry about the expenses” I said.

“Really? Oh thank you, thank you, thank you” she said kissing me repeatedly.  With a yawn I said “I think it’s time for bed.” I walked up the stairs with fluttershy behind me. We entered the bedroom and fluttershy walked to her side of the bed. Before she could move the covers I walked up behind her and placed my hands around her waist.

“Hello there” she said turning her head. I responded by leaning down to her and nibbled on her left earlobe. As she moaned I motioned my hands around her stomach and back side. I sat us down on the bed and then laid back our heads on the pillows. Before I could go any further she stopped me by saying “I’m sorry. I don’t feel good today. Could we just hold each other?”

I rolled to my back as I let her lay on me. Minutes passed until sleep claimed us both. I woke to find that fluttershy was off of me and the sound of running water filled the room. I opened the bathroom door to see fluttershy just stepping into the tub. “AHHHH!” she screamed covering her chest and crotch as she stood on her hind legs.

“Jesus, I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” I said covering my eyes. “What are you doing in here?” she said hiding behind the curtains. “I was wondering where the noise was coming from” I said looking away from her. “Well you've found out, detective. Can you please leave so I can continue cleaning up?” She said a little somewhat frustrated. “Fine” I said closing the door on the way out.

Putting on the new day’s outfit (a green tea and blue jeans) a knocking came from the front door. I ran down the stairs and opened the door to see a gray, blond mane Pegasus who handed me an envelope. “Thanks derpy” I said tossing her a muffin from the kitchen. She took a bite and flew off. I closed the door and opened the envelope. There was a letter saying:

“Sorry, man, but my daughter caught the flu so I’m canceling the job until she is better. Here is two hundred bits for the trouble.

From: stride”

I turned the envelope to see twenty gold bits to fall into my hand. “Thanks man.” I thought hopping that his daughter gets better. I placed the bits into my pocket. Hearing the bathroom door unlock I stepped into the kitchen and began making breakfast to repay fluttershy for walking in on her earlier. I took out a frying pan, placed it on the oven, and spread some of the, already made, batter we bought from the store on it.

As I let the batter bake I took out another pan and four eggs out of the fridge. I cracked the eggs on the pan and poured the yolk on the pan letting it sizzle. Going back to the pancakes I scraped them up and flipped them to the other side. I heard hoof steps coming down the stairs. I turned to see fluttershy with royal in her arms.

“Morning, sweat pea” I said scrambling the eggs around. “Morning” she said back sitting royal in his baby chair. I placed two plates on the table as fluttershy fed royal mashed peas. I scooped up the scrambled eggs and placed them on both our plates. “Guess what” I said to fluttershy doing the same with the pancakes.

“What?” she said scraping mashed pea of the baby’s chin. “Strides said that the job for today is postponed. So I don’t have to work” I said taking my seat. “That’s good. What are you going to do in the meantime?” she asked rubbing her nose against the baby’s. “I got to go talk to the girls for something” I said as we both took a bite of our breakfast. “Well, when you see them tell them that I said hi” she said kissing my cheek.
