I was one of the ones who got themselves a female mindset. I'm destined to replace "The Queen of Changelings". It all sounds very nice to me, but I find that I hate being a changeling. Not having a true body of my own feels terrible to me, and the others around me can tell how I feel. I have been practicing in private on a body to stay in when I execute my plan to ditch this place. I've had nothing to work with, since I haven't seen a regular pony except for one time when a very young one fell into our cave years ago. I look in the mirror at the wonderful body I have created from scratch. I have a red mane that is quite short and straight, a greyish coat, with ruby-red eyes. I hear a changeling walking into the room and I quickly change back to original changeling form.
"She wishes to see you," the changeling says. I know there's no other "Shes" here, but my mouth talks before my brain can stop it, "Who?" The other changeling just grunts and leaves me in my small room. I can't complain, really. My room is about twenty by twenty feet, counted using my hooves. A bed, a mirror, and a corridor leading to the main room. I walk down my corridor and see her sitting on her throne. "Well hello, I was hoping you could tell me why you have been changing into different forms constantly... More importantly, how are you changing? You have never seen another pony in your life!"
I look her right in the eye and respond, "I saw that young orange colt stumble into here that one day." She doesn't show any of the surprise I expected her to have. She just gestures for me to go back to my room, which only aggravates me even more, but I do as she wants and walk back to my room.
I wait for about five hours until I'm sure the majority of everyone here is asleep. I slowly creep my way down my corridor and notice two changeling guards standing side by side facing away from me at the end of the hall. I quietly get behind them and swiftly ram my hoof into the side of one of their faces and then grab the other by the throat until he stops struggling.

Not a he, an it.
I look over to see the one I hit. I immediately wish I hadn't. The side of it's head is completely caved in on itself from where my hoof hit it. I feel bile rising up in my throat and let it fall all over it's body. I can hear others shouting and rushing down a longer corridor behind her throne. I run away as fast as I can and fly up out of the cave and try to get as far away as I can.
I look around for any towns or cities, and spot one a few miles from Canterlot. I remember all the horrid things she said about Canterlot. All lies. She said it was covered with grime and smog.
I never have been observative in the past, and I hit the side of a cliff and start rolling down a hill into the small town. I quickly change into my pony form and slowly wobble into the town. The pain going throughout my entire body is terrible, and I can hear some voices shouting... something about an injured pony. I realize its me when I look down at one of my legs and see it is backwards and covered in blood.
I feel lightheaded, and awkward and IBbphlh............
I wake up in a hospital groggy, and a numb pain in my leg. I look up to see a strange pink pony smiling at me.
