They couldn't believe what they just heard. Princess Luna wasn't only dead, but KILLED!

"I couldn't believe it, myself," Celestia told them, "but I watched it happen. It was a normal day, she was taking one of her daytime naps, when I heard her screaming in her room. I came in and saw her being dragged all over the room, bleeding like crazy. The strange thing was she seemed to still be sleeping, and I couldn't see who, or what, was dragging her. By the time the screaming stopped, she was on the ceiling with four blade cuts across her torso and blood was all over the room. I wouldn't usually trouble you with such a disturbing image, but I believe it might help you find out who did this."

"Could it have been Discord?" Twilight asked.

"No, even HE isn't this dark. Besides, he's still encased in stone." It was clear none of their former enemies would do this. This was a brand new threat. It was also obvious that whoever, or whatever, it was, they'd be their most dangerous threat to ever come to Equestria. They didn't know what to do. Even if they did find out who did this, would they even be able to stop them? All these thoughts were circling in their minds. Finally, Rainbow dash broke the silence.

"Don't worry, your majesty. We'll find out who did this and put them to justice."

"Thank you. I knew I could count on you six." And with that, they set off for home. Once they got back to Ponyville, it was already nighttime, so everypony went home to rest for the night. When Applejack got home, however, she felt the urge to check to make sure the family was all there...well, not ALL there, but you know...when she checked Applebloom's room, she realized the blanket was covered with some sort of liquid. she went over to it, to find that the liquid was blood. She put her head against her little sister's torso to find that there wasn't a heartbeat. She pulled off the covers to find blade cuts on her torso. They seemed to say something. They spelled out the words "HERE'S FREDDY!". Her eyes welled up with tears at what she was witnessing. Here was Applebloom, her little sister who hadn't even gotten her cutie mark yet, murdered. She couldn't sleep that night. All she could do was cry over poor Applebloom's corpse. When Big Macintosh and Granny Smith woke up and saw the same thing, they were also shocked and welling with tears. Princess Luna's death was bad enough, but now it got a whole lot more personal for Applejack. Now, she had an even bigger reason for taking down this menace.
