Scootaloo's Adoption

It has been two weeks since Rainbow Dash has adopted Scootaloo and she has grown to love and protect her new daughter. So, as the sun rises and the young filly wakes up to a good morning, almost. "Why do I smell smoke?" Scootaloo asked to herself, and ran to the kitchen as fast as she could. She then saw her new mother Rainbow Dash in the kitchen trying to make breakfast. Rainbow then noticed Scootaloo at the kitchen doorway. "Oh, good morning Scootaloo." she said with a smile on her face. "Good morning Rainbow." Scootaloo said happily. "What are you making?" She said curiously. "Some scrambled eggs." "Why do they smell burnt?" Said Scootaloo. "Hey this is new to me. I don't cook to often. I'm just now getting used to waking up around six a.m. to take you to school. Cut me some slack. I am your mother you know." Rainbow said jokingly. "I know." Scootaloo said smiling.

Later that day Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash went in to town to bye some groceries at the market. "Do we have everything?" Rainbow Dash asked Scootaloo with the list. "Yeah I think so Rainbow." Distracted Rainbow Dash accidentally ran in to another pony. "Oh my Celestia! I didn't mean to run in to you." She said hoping the pony she ran into would not be mad. "Its okay." Said the blue Pegasus wearing a wonderbolt outfit. "OH MY CELESTIA! Your Soarin! From the wonderbolts. What are you doing in Ponyville?" She asked haste fully. "I just bought a house near here. W-wait a minute your the pony that did the sonic rainboom. What was your name again... Rainbow Dash! That's it!" Soarin said confidently. Rainbow Dash in her head was going "Oh my Luna he knows my name!" "Y-yeah that's me." Rainbow said quickly gathering her thoughts. "So, I have to go to wonderbolts practice. See you around sometime?" Said Soarin. "Y-yeah see you around." She said hopefully.

When they got home Rainbow and Scootaloo both collapsed on the couch in exaction. Thay both started randomly laughing. "What are you laughing at?" Asked Rainbow in a laughing tone. "I don't knew what are you laughing at?" Scootaloo replied. "Guess I'm just happy to have you here with me." Rainbow said sweetly to Scootaloo. "I love you Rainbow Dash." "I love you too Scootaloo." Replied Rainbow. "Rainbow can I tell you something?" Scootaloo asked. "What is it?" Rainbow looking a bit worried. "I just want to tell you. Thank you for adopting me, I couldn't asked for a greater mom." She started to break out crying, face down on Rainbow's shoulder. "Scootaloo why are you crying?" Rainbow asked. "I'm just so glad to have you as my mother. I have never been so happy to have somepony like you to take care of me!" Said Scootaloo. "Don't worry Scootaloo I am and always will be there for you. No matter what. I love you!" Rainbow started to cry.

The next morning Rainbow Dash had just dropped off Scootaloo at the clubhouse to hang out with her friends Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle The Cutie Mark Crusaders. Meanwhile she was off to go walk around town and talk to her friends. As she was, she noticed Twilight running around the library like a mad pony. "Hey Twilight what are you doing?" Rainbow asked curiously. "Oh, hey Rainbow Dash. I'm just looking for a book." Twilight replied. "But, there's all kinds of books in here. Which book could you be looking for?" "Princess Celestia wants me to read one pacific book." She replied. "Well, good luck finding it Twilight." Said Rainbow. "Rainbow could you help me find it?" Twilight asked. "Sorry Twilight, I got to pick up a couple of apple pies for me and Scoots." "Okay, Rainbow I understand you being Scootaloo's mother in all." Said Twilight happily. "See ya later Twilight!" Rainbow said while leaving to go to Sweet Apple Acres.

When she got to Sweet Apple Acres she immediately found Apple Jack. "What can a'h do for ya Rainbow Dash?" Apple Jack asked. "Could you get me a couple pies for me and Scoots?" Rainbow requested. "Sure thing partner, they'll just be a few minutes." "Thanks Apple Jack. I'm gonna go to the CMC clubhouse while I wait. I can pick up Scootaloo." Said Rainbow Dash. "Um, Rainbow they left clubhouse a while ago." Apple Jack said. "What! Where did they go!" Rainbow yelled. "A'h think they said they were going to the park. Something about a catapult." Apple Jack said a little confused. "What!" Rainbow yelled angrily, as she dashed to the park.

"Okay, Cutie Mark Crusaders river jumpers go!" As Scootaloo cuts the rope of the preset catapult. They launched across the air fast, but not as fast as Rainbow caught them or else they would've land painfully. When Rainbow Dash sat them down she looked furious. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! You three could of got seriously hurt. Who's idea was this?" Both Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle pointed at Scootaloo. "Scootaloo? This was your idea?!" She said angrily. "Y-yes." Scootaloo said with a sad voice. "Why would you think this was a good idea?!" "I'm sorry, I just wanted to earn my cutie mark Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo said while looking at the ground. "Scootaloo I know you want to get your cutie mark, but you can't make a cutie mark appear. You get your cutie mark when you realize your special talent. Now come on Scootaloo we're going home." "Okay Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo said hoping Rainbow won't punish her.

When they got home Rainbow told Scootaloo to go to her room until Rainbow felt she learned a lesson. Scootaloo said "Rainbow do you hate me?" Rainbow looked at her and said "Of course I don't hate you Scootaloo. I'm just a little disappointed. I'm your mother and I just don't want to see you get hurt. Okay?" "Okay, mom." Rainbow was touched because that was the first time Scootaloo called her mom. She couldn't help but to tear up and say "I love  you." Scootaloo smiled and said "I love you too mom." Then she went to her room.
