Legends of Equestria: DemonStorm

The storm was still blazing outside, they had tied the Heart to Steven and left the building. Now was their long trip back home. To restart Equestria's magic and the like. Haze was walking ahead, now wearing snow gear again and holding a gun saddle Spectra had quickly taught him to use, his wings still glowing white. Heart Breaker, Spectra and Dari walked behind. Slowly being followed by everything else that lagged behind.

"How long will his wings be like that?" Spectra asked.

"I don't know, when I became a Siren I was glowing for two weeks, but my friend Sheldor." Dari replied, pausing at the memory. Then shaking her head making her mane fly about. "He was glowing for about an hour." Dari finished.

"I see, you know this is the second time you have given up part of yourself." Spectra muttered.

"Yep. But there is a big difference in getting rid of my magic to save Haze, and blowing up a wall and dying." Dari replied.

"Yeah well, it took us months to rebuild that." Heart Breaker grunted.

"Well you would've gotten into Canterlot without me." Dari replied winking.

"And whilst you were all besieging Canterlot, I was defending Cloudsdale." Spectra smiled smugly.

"Yes you have recalled to us numerous times about how you fought against their army." Heart Breaker laughed.

"Well it was a bloody and glorious fight." Spectra replied.

"We had the Bloody Skulls." Heart Breaker muttered.

"Ah, the famed mercs of Equestria." Spectra began.

"Demon!" Somepony shouted, a huge creature soon appeared from the snow and tackled Rarity. Who was flung into the air screaming, from what could be seen it was smaller than the red one they had seen on that recorded spell. And this was black and misshapen, not like the red one. So were there two? Three? More?

Haze turned and fired his gun at the creature, to no effect. The creature then roared as Twilight began to shoot spells at it. The thing began to charge at Haze, who kept shooting frantically. Crystal was also shooting, Rarity got up from the snow and also sent barrages at the thing.

"Haze! Use some damn magic!" Dari shouted, then charged at the creature which pushed her aside then continued to charge. Spectra roared and charged as Red, kicking the thing which caused it to stumble a bit, some black liquid spilled out onto the snow, making it melt and burn the ground underneath.

"Don't let the blood touch you Spectra. It's like acid!" Dari shouted, trying to get up. Haze suddenly began to glow, as did the Heart. It sent a trail out to Haze who smiled, eyes burning white fire. He looked straight at the demon.

"Spectra, duck." Haze said, he sounded like he had two voices, his own, and another, a different one, more deep and old. Spectra jumped out of the demons reach just as a wave of white energy shot out of Haze, hitting the demon which screamed out at began to smoke, more blood shot out, burning the ground. The creature ran at Haze who sent another wave, and kept repeating. Wave after wave of, pure, magic. Causing the demon to scream and bleed. It began to slow its pace, not by choice. Haze didn't stop. The sound of thunder came out of him after every wave. Black blood shot everywhere, until finally. The creature fell. It stopped moving. Haze stood still, panting slightly but looked up to see smoke rising from the Demon's body. The Heart stopped glowing and so did Haze's wings, his eyes stopped glowing to show one red eye, and one blind white eye.

"Dari, his eye." Spectra muttered.

"I guess the Heart couldn't or didn't fix that." Dari replied, staring casually at it. Haze smiled and spat on the body, more smoke steamed up and everypony began to move on. Cold and in the mist of a blizzard, it would be a long while before home.

"How did you do that Haze?" Twilight asked.

"No idea. But I am glad Siren magic is on our side." Haze replied. Heart Breaker over heard this.

"Ah yes, Dari. About those Siren powers?" The alicorn asked.

"It might work. Should we try?" Dari relied. Heart Breaker nodded. Dari went to Haze and gave him instructions. He them began to glow white again. The Heart did also and after a brief pause. Stopped being in a white aura, and turned a dark red. The trails rushed to Heart Breaker and surrounded him. But suddenly cut off completely, Haze falling to his forelegs.

"What happened?" Heart Breaker asked.

"That has never happened before, let alone it turning red, but cutting off its power like that? We need to get home, we could empty out the resources of the Heart." Dari muttered.

"But you said it had unlimited magic." Haze said.

"Yeah I did, but the Heart has never gone red before in all of Magic history. Twi would vow for me." Dari replied.

"I haven't read much on the Heart personally but from what I have read it has never done such a thing." Twilight muttered.

"Then we must get back." Haze replied.

"Well fuck the magic, I want to get out of this damned snow.' Nick muttered. They moved on again, the wind howling behind them.
