Legends of Equestria: DemonStorm

Two Days Later

Celestia stood at the head of the table at Canterlot tower, everypony sat in front of her. Rainbow Speed, Steven the Serpent and the others who had been Equestria's knights and heroes for years now. It had been nearly a year exactly since the Void had been destroyed by Sir Bright Haze and the defeat of the humans, but all was not well in Equestria and the surrounding kingdoms. Celestia had now gathered everypony to discuss these matters.

"So, why are we here Celestia?" The Pegasus husband of Rainbow and friend to Haze asked.

"Equestria is in trouble." Celestia replied, with that the magically powered talking Knife, sir Knifely the sharp, or Nick got up and walked toward the door.

"Well you can get somepony else to do it. Because I have retired, we all fucking have. This is the second time you have brought us back and this time you can fix it. Your Highness." Nick said, but quickly sat down when his best friend, the giant serpent from the Everfree forest, Steven, gave the knife a cruel look.

"Look it is not to help with the twilight state, I have mages and myself looking into that and many in your number are not even unicorns. Or ponies for that matter." Celestia replied, looking to the serpent, Nick and the human made alicorn; Heart Breaker.

"Then what?" The Siren Pegasus Dari, who could now speak and practically fully recovered from her rebirth asked.

"Well, with our human clean-up teams, I always assign a unicorn who, due to the limited magic we seem to have right now, will record everything that happens in case the humans ever grow strong enough to fight, and defeat a team. But one team hasn't returned from a mission into the Everfree in two days now." Celestia answered, everypony went quiet.

"Hydra? Or other spawn of Everfree? How could that cause an entire team to not return, or even, I presume call in to say they are trapped or wounded. They have guns now!" Rainbow called out.

"No, they haven't called in. And no, it isn't any sort of creature I have seen before. Just watch the recording that I received earlier today, it takes a while to get here due to little magic." Celestia muttered. Then her horn began to glow and a picture could be seen on the wall of the tower, everypony fell silent and watched as the image became a movie. Ponies moved slowly, silently through the Everfree, there was some quick discussion and the moved into the clearly. The camp had been massacred. A few ponies made upset groans at this, Fluttershy nearly throw up. The video played more with some conversation and then panic began to spread as an unknown beast cried out in anger. After a second the unicorn and some other pony began to run, gunfire and disgruntled screams from ponies dying soon followed. The screams stopped and the two ponies stopped.

"What in Equestria was that?" Rarity asked.

"Just wait." Celestia replied, clearly upset. The roar came again and some huge red figure bounded out of the forest and promptly killed the two ponies, the video stopped.

Everypony sat in silence for what seemed like an eternity.

"What in Equestria-?" Rainbow Speed began.

"Demon. And its not of Equestria, or this world." Dari interrupted. She sat staring at the fixated image of the red figure. Leaning forward a bit glowing with magic.

"Dari?" Rainbow asked, the magic cut out and all colour drained from her blue face.

"It would seem. The Void is far from dead." Dari muttered quietly. "And if the demon has the magic I believe it to have, the Multiverse is collapsing."

"What does that mean?" Rainbow asked, slowly, choosing her words carefully.

"That not only may this demon be the least of our worries, but we may be getting more 'visitors', some not very friendly." Dari replied, the room went quiet again.

"What do you suppose is behind this?" Nick asked after a while.

"Either the Mo'ka are far from dead, or something worse. Much worse."

"What could be worse then the Mo'ka? Anyway Haze killed them." Spectra grunted.

"The Mo'ka are children compared to some races of the Multiverse, and Haze may have only destroyed part of the Void, leaving them wounded, and pissed."

"What do we do?" Celestia asked, despite her age apparently Dari knew more on this matter than the goddess herself.

"Well we have no choice, first, we need magic, and I know just where to get it. Next, we recruit from other, universes, and finally. We go to war."

"With who?" Rarity asked.

"Who do you think? Mo'ka and their allies, because if they are the cause of this, we will have a hell of a run."

"Well then. One thing at a time, how do we restart Equestria's magic?" Nick asked.

"We go into the old ice lands and recover the thing the unicorns used for their magic. The Heart of the World. It can store unlimited magic energy." Dari muttered, everypony nodded.

"When do we leave?" Twilight asked.

"Now. Get ready, it'll be a long trip."

"Into the valley of death we go." Nick muttered.

"We are so fucked." Rainbow added.

"So, drinks are on me." Spectra added and everypony prepared for the trip.
