Sky Dwellers filled the space which was once the marketplace, all gathering to listen to the ex advisor of the old king, then fired by the new one, he had called that every Dweller to go to the market as he had something important to share. Everypony had come, only a few Equestrians stood guard but were soon dismissed from duties as Luna needed them. Everypony stood around, wearing mining equipment and holding pickaxes. The figure of the advisor stood on a platform above the rest, his mane was a mess and his royal clothes had lost colour and were now ripped and ruined, his left eye kept twitching and scars covered most of his body.

"Dwellers!" He cried into the crowd. "I brought you all here today to tell you all, our king. Bright Haze of Equestria, is dead, he fell due to his own stupidity in trusting the Equestrians. He banned our weapons and took our lineage and history away from us, we were once the master race! Now we have fallen to the weaklings of the Equestrians. But no more my ponies. I have a way out!" The advisor shouted, some ponies began to ask questions.

"Our way of survival is to join our dead, in the promised land! We must pass through the Void and be with our brethren of the dead! We must take away our bodies from Equestria! My friends, we must die so our once glorious name lives on! Forge weapons, kill yourselves and the Sky Dweller name shall live on as something of glory, not defeat!" A few ponies actually began to cheer, some began to stab themselves and bleed out where they stood.

"Go and spread the word to any who couldn't be here today, find ways and pass on to the promised land!" The advisor said and ran into the crowd, grabbing up a pick as he did. He ran through the cheering crowd, not one stopped to think or question him, just continued the mass suicide. Equestrian guards were now appearing including the Princess herself, Luna.

"Luna!" The advisor shouted, blood was filling the air and the cloud layer became red and stained. "Let this be the day of the fall of the weak. We are the strong and the master race and will not let some Equestrian rob us of our rights! To the promised lands my ponies!" And with that, the advisor stabbed himself, letting blood and guts flow freely onto the floor. The pony began to laugh, feeling no pain. Then died, laughing. Guards ran into action, taking weapons away from ponies and dropping them from killing themselves. Luna stood and watched. Unsure what to do, she just. Watched.

Back in Canterlot everypony was ready to lead, with Dari elected to be in charge she had been ready for over an hour. It was near on nightfall now but they couldn't afford to waste any time. There was a demon about and a war to win. Dari wore some thick coat for the snowy conditions of old Equestria, white and and grey in camo colour. Dari had a thick saddle on with a mini crossbow attachment with an iron hoof garment with some long knife blade hidden from view. She had googles over her forehead and looked to be ready for the artic. Everypony else worse similar ware, except Steven of course, he had the spare bags, and a long cape made from various furs ready if he needed it. Everypony was sweating all ready but the cold was near on unpreparable, and here they were, prepared. They had enough food for decent rations to last nearly two months, the trip should only take about a week, two weeks. Exciting.

Everypony was ready and they all stood at the new gates of Canterlot. Luckily it was becoming winter in Equestria so they wouldn't melt in their thick gear. Dari stood at the front of the group staring of into the distance, the moon was beginning to rise and the stars shone, catching on the snow of the mountains and causing colourful lights to appear in the sky. Mainly green, but it would sometimes change to red or purple.

"We ready?" Rainbow asked, pissing about with her crossbows firing mechanism.

"No, but lets go. Sooner we go sooner we can get back." Nick replied.

"How do you suppose we get this Heart back once we find it?" Spectra asked, holding a double bladed axe in one hoof, leaning it against his neck and back.

"We can't carry the fucking thing, it would weigh a ton." Rainbow said.

"Steven will need to carry it." Dari muttered, not looking away from the north

"Well it might not be that heavy, being magical and that crap." Heart Breaker added.

"Who knows?" Rainbow asked.

"Let's just fucking get there first." Nick said, the group nodded and began to trot on.

The trip would be hard and boring, everypony knew that, in case they ran into this Demon the group decided to go round the Everfree, putting on an added few days to their already long trip, but everypony agreed it was worth it. Just because they weren't in the Everfree however, didn't mean they were all safe, everypony was on high alert, watching the darkness and preparing for a fight everytime a noise of some unknown monster screamed out.

"Just keep moving." Dari said at one point, where everypony had stopped, a human scream had filled the air, followed by a few gunshots, then. Nothing. The noise was loud, but not very far, well, as far away as anypony would've liked. The group pushed on, hopeful to just get the trip over with. But everypony knew this was just the first leg of their journey and had far to go even after getting this Heart back for the magic.

They walked for nearly the entire night and much of the day, Canterlot couldn't be seen anymore and they had cleared the mountain on which it stood. Everypony was tired and worn out already, all except Dari maybe. She refused to stop.

Everypony suddenly slumped to the ground getting sleeping gear out to sleep finally, only Dari continued to walk.

"Dari. Hold up, we should camp here." Spectra called out, the land here was near on empty, a few hills and trees, but nothing exciting. The Siren Pegasus turned her head but otherwise kept walking

"Dari!" Rainbow shouted. The Pegasus stopped and turned around.

"We need to keep moving." Dari replied.

"Why? I know we are in a rush but we need sleep." Rainbow asked, then her stomach growled. "And food." Everypony nodded.

"We are being followed, we have been since we left Canterlot." Dari muttered, more quiet now.

"What do you mean? By what? Demon?" Nick asked.

"No, somepony I don't know who, I have seen them a few times today, watching us from a distance." Dari replied.

"What should we do, we can't keep moving, even this pony needs rest, we need it as well." Rainbow muttered.

"Fine, we camp here then. But we should keep guards, I'll go first." Dari grunted in defeat. Everypony sat down and prepared for sleep, out of the darkness Dari could see the groups follower, watching from atop a hill. It ran away and disappeared into the night as Dari looked to it.

"What are you?" Dari asked to herself. Then grabbed up a spear and waited.
