Legends of Equestria: DemonStorm

Bright Haze stood at Aeb's, Derpy's and Tage's graves. Tears dripping down the side of his face, wings ruffled from the flight and mane and tail misshapen and scruffy. He let his weight fall suddenly and he sat down with his forelegs under him in front of Dee's grave.

"What the fuck do I do now? So many are dead because I failed to save them and defeat the Mo'ka. I can't do this alone." Haze muttered. Crying now.

"But you aren't alone." a familiar voice said from behind him. Haze turned around saw the dead. Aeb, Shadow, Rainbow, Dee, and the rest of the group stood behind him, as ghostly figures, he could see through them but they were there, Rainbow had spoken.

"You. You all died. You can't be here." Haze muttered, shaking his head, not believing what he saw.

"Haze, you have the most magic anypony can ever imagine. Being around, well, us. Will probably something to disrupt our rest." Aeb replied.

"This isn't happening." Haze shouted, closing his eyes. A few moments pasted of silence and he felt a hood on him, as real as anything. He opened his eyes to see Derpy.

"We are here now Bright Haze. Believe it." She muttered, Haze just nodded.

"Why are you here though?" He asked.

"Too convince you that you aren't alone." Aeb replied.

"You believe yourself to be alone and that this war is just yours and that you are the only one who should fight in this. You have forgotten that you are always surrounded by those willing to fight and die with you. Those ponies, they didn't fall because they thought they would win, they fought to save their home. Your home. You are surrounded by those brave ponies and if you unite the enemy can't win." Diamond Ray added.

"You are not alone in this war Haze. You have Equestria, all you have to do is unite it. All you need to do is prepare for the final fight, do not split from each other, watch each others back. Make sure a pony is never alone. Unite and conquer." Shadow added.

"We died to defend Equestria, don't waste that sacrifice. Your cutie mark may be that of sacrifice, your Element may be the same but you are part of seven, even then, you are part of many more. Think of all the sacrifices we have made in defends of our home. Let others take the burden Haze." Aeb muttered. Dee had said nothing on the subject thus far.

"But, Tage is gone. Dee is gone. I have nothing left. The others, hell. Spectra lost Rainbow today." Haze replied, nodded to the ghost of Rainbow. "He has children to take care of. I don't. I can't let him, or the others die. They have to much to live for." Haze added.

"Then let them fight. So that they CAN go home and live their lives. Let them fight so their children are safe. Let them fight so we can be at peace Haze." Derpy muttered, crying again.

"Fine. For you. I will stop all this." Haze said, Derpy gave him a look. "With the help of everypony here." Haze added, his ghost wife smiled.

"Then until we met again husband." Derpy smiled then the ghosts disappeared. Haze stood still staring at where his dead friends had just been, spreading his wings out to fly back to Canterlot he readied himself. He still hurt all over from wounds and emotion, but flapped his wings to fly.

"Beautiful isn't it?" A soft voice echoed behind him. Haze turned. Before him was a large pony, taller than Celestia and had a larger aura of magic around her. The mare had long trimmed wings, longer than any pony before her. A long white horn, longer and more perfectly shaped than Tia's or Luna's. She had a white body and dark red hair. Haze looked to the majestic figure before him.

"What is?" He asked

"What the presence of magic can do around memories, emotions. Magic is so wonderous, wouldn't one agree?" The mysterious pony replied.

"Magic has, I will admit, shown some beauty to me. But I have never learnt much on it, despite my powers." Haze muttered.

"Of course. The Pegasus turned Siren. Your story is legend across the world." The Alicorn replied.

"Oh it is?"

"Oh. It is."

"Then you must know I am very busy and need to return to my friends. We have a war to fight."

"One you can't possibly win without, say. The creator of Equestria and mare of the Void?"

"Something like that." Haze muttered and began to fly away.

"I don't think you know who I am."

"Enlighten me."

"Queen. Lauren Faust. Equestria's Creator." The mare muttered, smiling.

"Fuck." Haze muttered. "I mean, my queen. Of course how stupid of me." Haze saved and bowed down.

"No need to bow. I didn't expect you to recognise me. Although I am still hurt you don't know what I look like as a pony." Faust replied.

"P-pony form?" Haze asked.

"Well, you are from Terra, Earth aren't you. You didn't think you and Heart Breaker were the only ones. I am Lauren Faust. I created Equestria. I am human, well, part human. I haven't been, me. Since I faked my death on Earth. I used to be human should I say. Now I am a wonderer, a Void creature. One fighting for the good of the Multiverse. A lot like you Haze. Only I know I can't take on the Void alone. No pony, no one. Can. That's why Celestia called for me. Because you, this world. Needs my help. I wish I had an army, but it is just me. Me, those Equestrian-Earth ponies, and Equestria's forces. We can't beat the Void, but we can at least cripple the Mo'ka. That is one less threat."

"One less?" Haze asked.

"Didn't anypony say? The Mo'ka aren't the only thing in the Void that is dangerous. The whole place is corrupt. Everything and anything in the Void will try to kill every living thing in the Multiverse. The Mo'ka? They are Childs play. But nopony has ever tried to stop them. But that ends today. Or tomorrow, or whenever. They are annoyed you attacked them and will come here. That gives them the advantage of time, but we know the landscape, we can defend better than them. So Haze, ready to return to Canterlot?"

"Of course, my queen."

"Stop with all that 'my queen' stuff. I am just a pony. Hey, has swearing been invented here yet?"

"Faust. I brought it over during the Nightmare issue. Many ponies use it now."

"Oh thank fuck. Well, lets get going. Big day, days." Faust replied and cast a teleport spell. In a second they were both back in Canterlot. The magic in Haze drained away, into the atmosphere without him knowing. Faust smiled.
