Chapter 1:The Hoof Wrestling Match
"You really wanna test me, Polychrome?!"
"Hah, bring it on, Fire-for-brains!"

Cloud Nova and Rainbow Dash were at it again. Another hoof wrestling match. They keep challenging each-other to strength tests, and they never seem to give up. Cloud was just testing his strength to train for when he finally gets to actually fight. He had quite the love of combat. Back when he lived in Horseheim,Germaney, his birth-state outside of the main Equestria nation, many colts liked to fight each-other when they didn't see eye-to-eye.

While that was going on, Scootaloo was spectating the twelfth hoof-wrestle match between those two this week. And cheering on her idol, Rainbow Dash, the whole time. "GO RAINBOW DASH!!!" she shouted from the large crowd that built up. Shroud, Ponyville's resident friendly changeling, was even trying to set up a betting station, because hoof-wrestling matches between Cloud and Rainbow lasted quite a while. The two pegasi can't get leverage on the other for long, as one balances out the other as easily as the first pony can gain an advantage.

Twilight, another spectator in the crowd, face-hoofed. She's become used to the rivalries between the two cocky pegasi, and for once, it's getting annoying. But not to the massive crowd of ponies, all they want to see is entertainment. Spike is busy swooning over Rarity, who is "complaining" about being forced to watch such a "ruffian" sport by Pinkie. And Pinkie, takes the mantle of the announcer.

"It looks like Rainbow Dash is winning! No, Cloud! Rainbow! CLOUD! Rainbow!I wonder how this fanfic will turn out! Ooh! Cloud is getting an advantage! Wait, Rainbow fights back with stronger force!" Pinkie blares through the megaphone she pulled out of nowhere. The whole time Vinyl Scratch, Cloud's marefriend, and Reverb Blast, Cloud's best friend, are blaring very fitting music at the turntables with an extra wub of dubstep every few seconds to the beat.

Cloud is staring down Rainbow Dash, a strained grin on his face. Images of victory flash through his mind, and he pushes harder against Dash's resilient defense. Rainbow is breathing heavily, as this match is draining her strength as it goes on. She allows a frown to appear as her hoof pushes harder to avoid smashing into the wooden table. After a few more minutes of straining this, Dash finally stops pushing, having exhausted all her energy against the green pegasus. The crowd erupts with chatter as Cloud slams Rainbow's hoof into the table, smashing it in half and taking her with it.

"Haha, you were the strongest I've faced so far, Rainbow. But strength isn't enough to beat me." Cloud pridefully states. Vinyl dives forward and teleports behind Cloud, tackle-hugging him in the process."I knew you could win, hothead!" She says as she rolls off of him and stands up. "I asked you not to call me that, Scratchie." Cloud replies, emphasizing Vinyl's nickname she very much hates from Octavia calling her the same during their music classes.

Shroud flies over to Cloud and disguises as him. "Hey Cloud, who do I look like?" He asks jokingly before smiling like a maniac. "You look like a familiar handsome devil, and a winner." Cloud says, wiping a bead of sweat off of his forehead and 'boop'ing Shroud's nose. Shroud drops the disguise and holds up his hoof for a well-deserved brohoof. Cloud obliges and drops onto his flank, yawning loudly. "Holy shit, I'm absolutely exhausted. I think I'm heading home for today, and inviting Luna to a round of Pony vs Machine on TF2." After that statement, Reverb flies down next to Cloud and congratulates him on his victory.

"Wait, PvM? I'm game for that. When are we looking for players?" Reverb asks Cloud. "In a half-hour. Luna's probably online already." Cloud answers, flaring his wings and showing he's about to take off to his cloud ship, the Skyrunner,which he designed because he loves the ocean. He jets off through the clear sky, practicing some barrel rolls and nearly missing Derpy Hooves, who was walking along with a brown pony with a green tie, Time Turner. "Sorry Derps!" He calls as he flaps his wings to gain more speed to reach his far-away house.

I really need to move the Skyrunner closer to Ponyville, I really hate flying this far. Cloud thinks as he lands on the starboard deck of the cloud ship, docked a few meters west of Fluttershy's house, dangerously close to the Everfree forest. He enters the Captains Quarters of the ship, which doubles as his gaming room and bedroom. Flopping onto his bed, a cloud which has dark blue and green bed sheets with a large flame in the middle. He pulls out his gaming headset, a machine that listens to mental commands when plugged into a computer, out from it's case he had specially made. Then, he drags out from under his bed a gaming laptop.

As it boots up Cloud begins to think of that time when the Changelings attacked Canterlot, a battle that was one of his, and Shroud's, favorites.

Cloud Nova was staring upwards at the forcefield, watching as it cracked from the changelings slamming into it, and shattered. He stands up on his back hooves, and raises his front hooves for battle. A changeling bolted towards him from the air, and he ducks to avoid it. Before it gets out of range, he grabs the fin on it's rear that doubles as a tail and yanks on it, pulling the insectile pony to a stop. It struggles to break free, hissing and chittering in it's native language. It forgot it could buck him in the face, but that's his advantage. He spins the changeling around Ponio-style, and releases the fin, sending the changeling flying towards a wall.So long, stupid changeling. Cloud thinks as the changeling smashes into the wall with a loud crack. It stands up slowly, rubbing it's head with a hole-filled hoof. The changeling has cracks in it's chitin, and there is green blood seeping from one of the cracks on it's head.

"You will pay for thissss....pony....." it hisses in Equestrian. It's horn charges up with a green light and the changeling quickly teleports away before Cloud could strike another hit on it. One down, a million to go. I hope Twilight and the others can stop this before they finally wear me out.

Cloud smiles as he remembers that time. That was a true test of strength for him. He took down about 10 changelings before Cadance and Shining Armor blew them all away with that love blast. Shroud had told him it wasn't effective against him for the reason that Cadance specifically used it against Chrysalis' hive only, and Shroud was from Camouflage's hive. He had told Cloud that Camouflage was a nice queen, it just got boring living in a hive all his life. She wasn't too happy with Shroud leaving, though. Ah! The computer finished booting up. He mentally clicks on his profile, and thinks of his password. The computer logs him in and he opens Steam. Sure enough, Luna is online. He opens the messaging screen for the username "N1ghtw4lk3r" and begins messaging Luna.
STEAM LOG OPENED

Never tell your password to anyone.
Firebolt9001: hey luna what's going on?
N1ghtw4lk3r: nothing much. i just woke up an hour ago.
Firebolt9001: alright, you up for some pony vs machine pony up?
N1ghtw4lk3r: sure, i guess. who's going to join us?
Firebolt9001: reverb said he's up for it. i'll ask shroud, maybe he'll play.
N1ghtw4lk3r: sounds great. i'll ask tia if she wants to join us.
Firebolt9001: as long as she doesn't decide to start spycrabbing again, that match was absolutely horrible.
N1ghtw4lk3r: she won't. i'll get her to...what was it, pinkie promise?
Firebolt9001: good idea. even she will regret breaking one of those.

Author's Note

Why Cloud lived in Horseheim? I was looking for a random German town/city to ponify, and Heimsheim had a horse pun waiting for it. And also, this chapter changes perspectives quickly without warning, I know. But I want to capture the thoughts of the noticeable characters while Cloud and Rainbow were busy attempting to slam the other to the table.
Please, give a reason if you dislike. If you simply dislike without reason, you aren't a very nice person.
I need an extra grammar,spelling, and punctuation Nazi, besides myself.
