I'm flying. I've always loved it. The wind under my wings and in my hair it's just wonderful.

"Rainbow Dash! What do you think your doing? Using your wings on school grounds is extremely prohibited." I'm so dead.

When I come to a holt I know I'm getting after school detention but I won't show up anyway it's way to boring. I guess that's the point but still why would I show up to something that the point is to be boring? Seriously I wouldn't. "Sorry coach I guess the need to actually go somewhere or do something just got to me." That comment has a follow of snickers from the rest of the class and a huge glare from the coach.

"Very funny Miss Dash now give me 20 laps no wings. GO NOW!!!!!!" I grunt than take off around the track. 20 laps is nothing if I use my wings but is a lot harder when I don't have their help. When I come to a finish a teacher walks out with someone else behind her. A new girl. I can tell because I've never seen her before. She is the most beautiful person I have ever seen.

"Coach this is your new student, she starts to day." The teacher flip through her collection of papers on a clip board in her left hand. "Her helper is 'ahem' Miss Rainbow Dash." Me!!! Oh my gosh, this is awesome. Being a helper means you have every class single class with that person which means I get to hang out all day with her. "Miss Dash please introduce your self."

I step forward, "Hey my names Rainbow Dash but you can call me Rainbow. What's your name?" She stares at me getting a good look up and down then smiles.

"Nice to meet ya'll my names Applejack, you can call meh AJ though." That is the cutest ascent EVER!!!!  She turns to the coach. "Um, sir do I go change?"

"Yes you should." She just stand their. "Well what are you waiting for go!"

"Ah don't no where to go." She says deadpan. He stares at her surprised for a second than gets it.

"Miss Dash show her where the locker rooms are." I hit myself in the forehead because I new she didn't know and because the coach can be so stupid sometimes.

"Come on AJ their over here." I say walking out the door from the gym and towards the locker room. "Do you even have anything to change into?" I ask when we get inside.

She stares at me completely confused for a second then shakes her head no. "Is there anything ah can use?"

"I might have something." I smile at her, then walk over to my  locker and pull out a small shirt that only really covers up your top half leaving your belly showing and some boys gym shorts. "You fine with these?"

"Sure as sugar are, thanks sugar cube." She takes them from me and then just looks at me. "Are you just going to stand there or are you going to turn around so I can change?"

"Oh sorry. Hehe." I turn around wait for about 30 seconds until there's a tap on my shoulder saying I can turn around to face her. "Wow!" Is all I can get out.

"Do I look ok Rainbow?" She looks better then ok. Her long blonde hair is in a pony tail down on shoulder but with a low band. The white shirt looks awesome on her muscular frame and the shorts falling just below her knees are just right to give her a cute Tom boy look.

"No, you look awesome." I say with a smile and only get a smile in return.

"Thanks but we should probably be getting back. Oh, by the way, I like your wings." She says with a wink then walks off. I look back and my wings are completely extended to full hight. I sigh and bring them back down. I hope she doesn't no what that means.

At lunch...

"Hey AJ you want to eat with us cool kids?"

She looks so confused. "Us cool kids? Are ya'll sayin that ya a 'cool kid'?"

"Yeah. I'm the most popular kid in school. What you've been spending the whole day with me and you didn't even notice?" She blushes and shakes her head no. SO CUTE!!!!

When we get my lunch table all my friends look at her in confusion.

"Who's this darling?" Asks Rarity a fashionista. Her curl purple hair as perfectly kept as usual.  And blinking her dark blue eyes to show the over done mascara on her eye lashes and the light blue make up on her eye lids.

"Oh um, this is Applejack but... You can call her AJ."

"Oh um, nice to meet you." In a voice barely above a whisper my old friend Fluttershy.  She, like me, has wings but she's not as powerful a flyer. She spends most of her time with animals. And to prove her shyness she just hides behind her light pink hair. Showing only one turquoises eye peeking out.

"OOOOOH new friend! You know what we should throw her a PARTY!!!" Pinkie pie says somehow hopping up and down while sitting at the same time. Her neon pink mess of hair moving around with her and her bright blue eyes scanning up and down AJ while her went on and on about her party.

"Oh how wonderful would you like to have a seat? Oh, how rude of us I'm Twilight Sparkle. This is Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie." She says while pointing around the table. "I'm guessing you already know Dash?"

"Well duh why wouldn't she I just introduced her to you."

Twilight glares at me then asked. "So, AJ, how'd you meet Dash?"

"Rainbows apparently mah helper. And ah think can talk for mah self." She says with a evil grin and a small glare.

"Oh, darling I just love your accent. Where are you from?" Rarity asks looking more interested then ever on my new friend.

"Oh um, ah use ta live out on the apple orchard out side a town. I moved to manhattan an ah just came home to start school."

"Manhattan! Oh just tell me everything." She's says staring creepily at her.

"Well somethin happened on the farm so ah thought ah I should have a fresh start somewhere else. Ah went to manhattan to live with mah aunt and uncle orange. One day ah was feelin extra home sick so when ah was lookin out the window towards home ah saw a beautiful rainbow point straight to it. Ah packed my stuff and was planin on leavin but ah decided to stay one more year to help out the Oranges." She takes a big breath and starts up again. "When ah do get home ah know it's where ah'm ment to be. Then right then and there this little sucker shows up and ah couldn't be more right or happy." She finishes with a smile. "What do ya'lls look like?" She shows us her wrist where her cutie mark is and three shiny apples are sitting there.

"Apples like Applejack." I say all confident like but I still haven't taken my eyes off her.

"Rainbow darling control your wings." Only Fluttershy and possibly Twilight know what that means. Fluttershy giggles.

"Fluttershy not funny." I say with a grown.

"Hey Rainbow?"

"Yeah AJ?" Please don't ask what it means. Please oh please.

"What does that even mean? Can't ya control those wings of yours?" Oh, darn it she asked. Oh god I'm blushing.

Fluttershy explodes into a quiet laughter will I glare at her. "Agh, Fluttershy this is so not funny!"

"So Rainbow what it mean?"

"I... I... I don't want to tell you." I say lowering my head causing Fluttershy to laugh even harder.

"Do any of ya know what it means? Fluttershy." Oh know oh know oh know.

"I do." Twilight you trader. "It's what pega wings do when the pega has a crush on someone." She says with a giggle. "I guess class dyke got a crush on you." She finishes before bursting into laughter with Fluttershy.

"Hey, this is not funny. Class dyke or not AJ is really hot." Oh god did I just say that out loud.

"Oh so your a lesbian too. Oh nice to know this darn school ain't sexist." She finishes with a snicker. "Now ain't ah lucky ah made you turn around in gym." She says before bursting into laughter with Rarity joining her.

"What's a dyke?" Pinkie pie...

"Pinkie didn't we go through this already it means attracted to girls." Twilight always the smart one with all her books.

"WAIT!!!" Rarity yells. "Applejack did you say not the only one?" Now it's Applejacks turn to blush. All she does is node while staring at her food.

"Hey so AJ wanna go out sometime?" Wrong timing she had just taken a drink and now it's spat all over Rarity.

"Rainbow wha did ya just ask me?"

"Eeeewwwww!" Comes a shirk from Rarity who is now covered in water.

"Hehe sorry." Me and AJ say in unison.

"So is that a yes?"

"Ok so let me get this straight. Ya and ah are into girls. The first time we met ya got a intent crush on mah. So now your asking meh out?"

"Yep!" It's all I got.

"How about maybe?"

"Maybe? The coolest kis in school just asked you out invited you to eat lunch with her and doesn't judge you at all because they think your the most beautiful person they've ever met with the cutest accent ever and all you got is a maybe?"

"Here how about this. On ya first day a school you meet a rainbow haired jock with amazing pink eyes. Who's super cute and kind but also super rude and self confident. Who stares at meh every chance she gets. She introduces meh to the weirdest group of friends ever. No a fence. Then ah finally learn that ya a dyke like meh and that ya have a crush on meh. All this before mah first day is over. I think ya deserve a maybe." Oh god why won't I stop blushing.

"Yeah yeah I know I'm awesome and stuff and I see your point but... Come at least tell me I got a chance."

"Ya got a chance sugar cube." I can't help but smile. "But at least prove your not completely a over self confident jock." Deadpan. All I got is full on deadpan look. And all she got us a smile. The lunch bell rings and I don't even know it.

"Sugar cube? Hey Rainbow. Where's our next class?" I still don't move. Well until I feel something on my check then I come to my senses to find her kissing it lightly. "Come on sugar cube next class time."

"Uh ha. Wait what? Oh yeah next class. You know AJ your evil."

"Ya know Rainbow that's a bad pick up line." She winks before walking off. "Well ain't ya comin?"

"Yeah I'm coming." I take off after her.

After school...

"So Rainbow ya never showed meh your cutie mark."

"Oh... Well look." I turn my hand over and show her a puffy white cloud with lightning coming out. The

"Hey AJ you wanna hang out after school?"

"Sure sugar cube just lets head back to mah place first so ah can change from this uniform." The uniforms are light blue shirts with a dark blue button up coat. White pants for the boys and white skirts for the girls.

"Good idea. I'll meet you at the farm right?"

"How about ah meet ya at your place?"

"I live up. But you can meet me under it. I live actually near a apple orchard. I think it's called Sweet Apple Acres

is that your farm?"

"Yep. Ah guess ah'll meet ya outside the farm then." Then she looks forwards. "Ah guess we're here. See ya later Rainbow." Then she walks off.

"So cute!"

"Yeah ah know." Yells over her shoulder making me blush. So cute.

2 minutes later...

"So Rainbow ya never showed meh your cutie mark."

"Oh... Well look." I turn my hand over and show her my wrist. It has a puffy white cloud with lightning coming out. The lightning is three different colors red, yellow, and blue.

"Cool." She smiles and run her hand over it. When you run your hand over someone's cutie mark it's a way to show affection. I'm blushing like crazy and she's giggling. "Ya know sugar cube my little sis is at a sleep over with her friends the next two days and my big brother is out of town with mah Granny Smith so ah be got the house mah self if ya like to come over for pie of somethin?"

Did she really just say that? You can't turn down a offer like that can you? No you can't. "Yeah sure." Oh my gosh I sounded nervous. Oh and she looks so darn cute in her tiny jean shorts and that plaid half top and I'm staring again. And now she's laughing at me so this embarrassing.

"Come on silly. Ya really do have some silly thoughts." She winks, kisses me on the check, and walks away with a giggle. "Ya are really gonna let meh walk away ain't ya?"

"Nope!" I run to catch up.

Finally reach the farm...

"So AJ this is where you live?" Pictures of family over the fire place. Book shields to the back wall, stuff to sit on in the middle. Stairs on one side and a door the kitchen.

"Yep, home sweet home. So do ya want some of the apple family's famous apple pie?"

"Nice name. And you said I was self confident." I give her a sly grin.

"Funny. Do ya?"

"Never turn down good free food. Yeah I'd love some." I like my lips and rub my hands together getting a laugh.

"Cute sugar cube super cute." She winks and walks into the kitchen. "Ya can look around while ya wait it'll take a while." She yells over her shoulder.

"Yeah ok." After a good sweep of where I'm standing I decide to go up the stairs.

When I get up I reach a hallway not incredibly small nor big just a hall way. The first door is a bathroom the second says GS probably Granny Smiths room. The third says AB don't know who that is probably her little sisters room. The forth says BM Big Mac I think that's her brothers name. Across from his room is another bathroom than next to that is a door that says AJ, just what I was looking for.

Should I go in? Can I? Well she did say to look around so I guess I can.

When I open the door I'm expecting a squeak of some sort but not any kind of noise at all. Her room, like the rest of the house, has a wooden floor but her walls are orange same with her small carpet near her bed. Her bed has a red and white plaid blanket and a red pillow case. A window near the bed. A table off to the left of th bed with a light and a photo on it.

When I walk up to and pick up the photo I see a little girl with beautiful green eyes and blonde hair. She's wearing jeans with tears at the knees and a plaid shirt. Behind her is a big man with red hair and green eyes. Holding his hand is a young lady who appears to be pregnant with blonde hair a eyes that are yellow fading to pinkish red. Next to the girl holding her hand is a young boy with red hair and green eyes. Next to him is a very old lady with gray hair and the same eyes as the women.

"This is her family. That must be her parents  but where are they now?"

"They left."

"Ahhhh." I jump back still holding the photo. "You scared me. I mean where did you come from?"

"Well ah was down stairs in my house lookin for you."

"Hehe oh yeah. Sorry. What did you mean they left?"

"Mom died of child birth of mah little sis Applebloom. Dad disappeared one night and never came home. We turned their room in to Appleblooms." A small tear runs down her face and she walks over to me. She raps her arms around my neck and starts crying.

"Oh, Applejack I'm so sorry." I hug her tight and bring her to sit down on the bed. "It's ok I've got you. It's ok." That's all I can say my parents might have died in a robbery house fire but her dad straight up walked out after she learned her mom was dead. He just left.

"Ya know Rainbow, you're very nice for a jurk." Then she lifts her head of my shoulder and giggles. I laugh to at her complement insult thingy.

"Was that a complement or an insult?"

"Both." Then she giggles again. She so cute when she's emotional. "Come on pies ready." Then she stands up and walks out with me following behind.

When done with pie...

"Oh my gosh... Applejack your stupid name is so right this is the best pie I have ever had."

"Aw, thanks sugar cube that's kind of ya but that was nothin."

"Best pie ever." I say in a sing song voice.

"Ah'm glad ya like it."

"Your modest you know that."

"Lots of people say that but ah think their just bein friendly." She says with a smile.

"Nope your modest. Nothin else to it."

"And your a show off. So is there anythin else ya got your mind on." She says haft lid with a grin.

"I... A... Wha..." I got nothin.

"Hehe ya know let's change that maybe to a yes and see how ya do. Yes ah will go out with ya..." A evil grin covers my face while a happy smile still covers hers. "But..." Now I grown. "Don't try nothin with out my permission first on me ya got that. I'm may be big for surprises but it depends ya got that?"

"Aha." I can't seem to shake my grin and she knows it. She stands up and goes out the door leading to the front room.

"Rainbow ya don't need mah permission ta move sugar cube."

"Right..." All I get is a laugh. I stand up and walk where she disappeared off to but she's not there. "Where you gO." That's when she jumps onto my back and starts kissing my neck getting a small laugh in return. "Feisty  much?"

"Very much." Then she goes back to kissing my neck only to stop. "You know you smell like right after a rainstorm." And then start again.

"You know you make it hard not to fall head over heels in love cow girl, hehe." I can't but giggle because she's tickling me with her kisses.

She spins me around so I can face her. "Ah know!" Than she kisses me straight on the mouth and she really tastes like apples.

"How do you taste like apples?"

"How do you taste like rainclouds? Ah don't know what rainclouds taste like yet here you are going and tasting like one." That gets us both to laugh.

"Your feisty, cute, a awesome cook, taste like apples, nice, and funny. Where have you been my whole life?"

"Waiting to meet you!" Then we go back to kissing. And by the way sweetest apple EVER!!!!

School next day...

"Hey girls! Come here." Twilight calls with two open seats waiting for us.

"Hey Twilight what's up?"

"I you know class about to start stuff like that."

"We should probably sit down." She nodes, so we sit.

"So are you two always together? I mean you haven't separated from the second you got here." She says referring to AJ.

"Well ya see Twi...""I got her to say yes!!!!" I but in. And for that I get a glare.

"A yes?"

"Twilight you are so clueless I got to say...""She asked me lunch the other day if I'd go out with her and she got me to say yes." This time she buts in and get a glare. But it soon shifts to a proud smile.

"So keep your hands off cow girl is mine." She elbows me hard in the ribs. "Ow. Hey!" Full on glare war. She wins.

"First off ah ain't nobody's.

Second ya mine not the other way around and don't call me cow girl.

Third..." She leans in a lightly kisses me. I can't help but blush. "Ya are to easy to get ta blush." She giggles and turns to face the teacher.

I just stare at her completely dumbfounded. I turn to Twilight and ask. "Did she?" All I get is a node.

After school...

"Ok so can I come over after school today? I mean like right now?" She giggles and nodes.

"Rainbow I think ya might follow meh around like a lost puppy!"

"I do not!!!"

"Then wha' ya doin' now?"

"I'm... I... You... Arg... Add clever to the list of things you are."

"Just wonderin sugar cube but is that hair o' yours natural?"

"Very."

"Very fake or very real?"

"Very real."

"Ok here's mah list of what ya are. Your funny, cute, and very hot. But your way to self confident and way to irresistible. Also your clever too. Ah love your eyes and your careless attitude and your 'all natural' hair. Like mah list sugar cube?"

"Need to add good at making list to my list and yes I do. Do so can I come over?"

"Hummm... Last day with the house all to mah self before my little sis comes home. Ah think her little friends will be coming with 'er. So that's a yes." She winked then kept on walking.

"I'm going to have to add extra hot and turns me on to my list aren't I?"

"Probably!"

"It's on. So what do you have planed?"

"Oh, ya will see. Ah promise. And honestly I don't break promises."

"I trust you."

Back at house...

"Ok so what did you have planed?"

"Come on sugar cube ah said ah'd show ya didn't ah?"

"Yeah."

"Then come on." She walks up the stairs leaving me completely confused.

"So sugar cube ah know ah said ah'd show ya but ah think ya might wanna know first." Then she leans in and whispers in my ear causing my wings to fly out so fast even I could feel the wind come of them. Then I hear a light laugh but it's not Applejacks.

"Hahaha, how ya get her wings to do tha'?"

"Ahhh!!!" I jump and fall of the other side of the bed causing both Applejack and her sister who's standing in the door way to burst into a fit of giggles. Applebloom had the same yellow to pinkish red eyes as her mom but a deep red hair. In her hair was a huge dark pink bow.

"Applebloom wha' ya doin' home ah thought ya said ya were comin' home tomarrow?"

"Oh, ah did but Miss Rarity was not going to have us over since she's so up tight and couldn't take so she sent us home."

I get off the floor and look at her completely confused. "Rarity?"

"Oh... Sugar cube Appleblooms friend is Sweetie Belle Raritys little sis. Her other friend is Scootaloo who I have no idea who her family is." She said while still looking at me. Sweetie Belle had dark green eyes and pink and purple striped hair. Scootaloo has purple hair that is a little pinker than her purple eyes.

"Scootaloo? Scootaloo oh god that means she's home I've gotta go." Then I take off out the window.

"Sis' who was that?"

"Mah friend Rainbow from school."

"Oh. Wait! Rainbow Dash as in the most popular girl in school. As in class dyke. You do know she's Scootaloos older sis right?"

"That explains why she flew out the window like that."

"Sis ah heard she's datin' someone. Ya know who it is?"

"Yeah ah know."

"Who is it?"

"Oh, ya'll see."

"Would you be proud if it were ya?"

"Why wouldn't ah be?"

Back at my house...

"Hey sis, I heard you were dating someone who is it?"

"Already I thought I could date them for at least more then 2 day with out you hearing."

"What you don't want me to know?" Puppy dog eyes why does she even know how to do those.

"Know it's just if you heard it that means there's already gossip about it, that's all."

"Ok so who is it?"

"Promise you won't tell anyone. Not Sweetie Bell or Applebloom. No one."

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" She said while doing the movements that went with the Pinkie promise.

"You know Pinkie Pie will hunt you down and there's nothing I can do stop it if you ever break that promise?"

"EVERRRRrrrr!!!!" Said Pinkie randomly popping out of a pot that she shouldn't be able to fit in then disappeared as quickly as she appeared.

"Yeah anyway, do you?"

"Yes sis I understand."

"Good." Ok I can do this no match how evil that 'good' just sounded. "Appleblooms..."

"Your dating Applejack the new girl. Oh, heard she was super pretty and smart. Can I meet her?"

"How are you best friends with Applebloom but haven't met... Oh yeah she just got back from Manhattan. Hehe!" Think, think, think. "Sure... Yeah it'll be nice for you to meet her. Ok so here's the plan..."
