James Cross is first up for a solo training exercise. It takes some time before he was able to build up the nerve, but some of his crew mates have a strange feeling about today. Minutes into his training run; a wall of strange fog blocks his path. Being forced into the strange fog; he experiences a massive engine failure. Seeing a possible way out, he takes it. After crashing in a strange forest. A small accident occurred leaving him unconscious. Plagued by strange dreams and waking up in a Hospital. A new chapter in his life begins.

This is a story rewrite of the original A Faraway Land. I rushed the first story and it dragged out. I will be slowing this story down to try and make it flow more natural. I will also be changing a lot of the story. For example, I used a Manticore. I quickly noticed a lot of storied used this, so I swapped it out for something a little more exciting. The first story is still up on my page and you can look at it, but I will be removing it soon. I will also be going the same route with this story. None of the ponies will die. This will become clear as the story progresses.
