Vergil in Equestria

Dante and Vergil, surprisingly, were taking a stroll throughout Sweet Apple Acres admiring the scenery.

"I'm kind of surprised your here." Vergil said.

"Hey. If it wasn't for that blinding light enveloping me I wouldn' be here but then I wouldn't be able to kill that dragon and I would be bored the whole day." Dante said.

Immediately they heard the sound of steel hitting the ground and the voices of Dash and Applejack.

"Hoo-wee! Not a bad pitch for a pony who works with her head in the clouds." The orange pony's voice said.

"Oh yeah? Think you can do better, cowgirl?" The blue pegasus said.

The two demon brothers then made their way towards the two and saw they were playing lucky horseshoes.

"Sup." The demon hunter said.

"How are you doing?" The dark slayer said.

The two noticed the two brothers and said they're greetings.

"Howdy." Applejack said.

"Whas'up?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Heard your voices and thought we'd come over to see what you were up to." Dante said.

"Well what we were doing was that I was wooping AJ's flank in this game." Dash said.

"I haven't even gone yet so don't hold y'all breath." Applejack said.

They continued to play their game and it ended when the orange cowpony landed a horseshoe around the metal pole.

"Yee-haw! It's a ringer. That's how you do it down here on the farm." She said.

"Congragulations." Vergil said.

Dash was however shocked.

"I lost." She said.

"Ah, don't feel bad, Rainbow. It's all in good fun." The cowpony said.

"Yes. Indeed." The dark slayer said.

"I HATE losing." Dash said.

"Don't feel too bad, Dash. AJ just got lucky." Dante said.

"That wasn't luck." Vergil said.

"Yeah I agree with Vergil here. I'm just the best athlete." Applejack said.

"All right, Applejack, you think you're the top athlete in all of Ponyville?" Dash asked.

"Yeah... You think your pretty good? What about you bro?" The demon hunter asked.

"I did defeat you in a sword fight." The dark slayer said.

"Our score is tied. Besides we know who would win in the end." The demon hunter said.

"Yeah. Vergil." Applejack said.

"Huh? Really? Have you seen Dante slay that dragon without breaking a sweat?" Dash said.

"Well Vergil held his own against Trixie, defeated an Ursa and defeated a Parasprite Invasion." Applejack emphasized.

"Then why don't we put your words to the test." Dante said.

"How?" AJ and Vergil asked.

"We challange you to an Iron Pony competition. A series of athletic contests to decide who's the best, once and for all." The blue pegasus said.

"Huuuuh. That sounds pretty cool. It'll show which one of us is the better brother. Plus it gives us a chance to settle our score." Dante said.

The two teams then stared each other down and said,

"Your on!"

The Iron Pony competition was intense. The two teams were brutal. Especially Dante and Vergil who tried they're very best to beat each other and settle their score. One time in one of the events they tried so hard they ended up wrecking the entire competition. But they fixed everything and in the end Rainbow Dash and Dante prevailed. But  Applejack weren't exactly very happy.

"Heh. It appears my hypothesis was correct." Vergil said.

"Huh?" Dash asked.

"You used your wings, specially you brother." The dark slayer said.

"Your point is?" Dante asked.

"Y'all cheated." Applejack said.

"So you never said we couldn't use our wings." The blue pegasus said.

"Not according to that sign." Vergil said.

The two looked at a sign that explained the rules. Especially the rule that forbided the using of pegasus wings and unicorn magic.

"So according to these rules you two are disqualified and Applejack and I are the winners. And now our score is settled, brother." Vergil said.

Dash growled in annoyment and fruestration when she blurted out,

"I challange you to to the Annual Runnin' of the leaves."

"What's that?" Dante and Vergil asked.

"It's a special race where millions of ponies trot across the forest to shake the leaves off of the trees." Applejack said,

"And I accept... On one condition. We forbid the both of y'all to use your wings."

"No wings? No problem." Dash said.

"But you two are on your own. Me and my bro are going against each other." Dante said.

"The winner gets two extra points and the brother who comes behind his other brother loses one point and is the uttermost winner of the family." Vergil said.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash then spit on their hooves and shook them. Dante spit on his hood and stretched it out but Vergil recoiled in disgust.

"I'm not touching that hoof." He said.

"Come on.... Don't be a baby." The demon hunter said.

Vergil sighed then prepared to spit on Dante's hoof.

"Your own hoof." The demon hunter said.

Vergil saw his mistake and spit on his hoof and was disgusted. They eventually shook their hooves with Vergil very disgusted at the saliva on his and his brothers hooves.

In the middle of the night Vergil snuck to Runnin' of the Leaves track and then set up demonic booby traps around the track.

"I can't afford to lose to anyone..... Especially my brother or Applejack or Rainbow Dash."

When he was done he smiled evilly to himself.

"As soon as anyone runs into these traps...... Then I will be the victor for sure."

Dante and Vergil took their places at the starting line. They saw a lot of ponies taking their places including Rainbow Dash, Applejack and surprisingly Twilight Sparkle.

"Hey Twilight I think you're at the wrong place. The egghead convention starts downtown." Dante said.

Vergil slapped his brother in the back of the head.

"Ow! What was that for?!"

"Do not make fun of Miss Sparkle. So help me I will throw you into a bottomless pit of misery and hell." Vergil said ferociousness.

That instantly shut the demon hunter up.

"All right, ponies, are you ready?" Pinkie said.

"Get set." Spike said.

A bell went off and the racers took off. Vergil and Dante were neck and neck and were instantly trying to get ahead of each other while Applejack and Rainbow Dash were in the lead. Vergil knocked Dante on the head which caused Vergil to get ahead of him. He passed each and every contestant till he was up to Dash and AJ. He then saw AJ trip on a rock and he got up to Rainbow Dash. Suddenly a strange circle came over Dash and she was trapped.

"Hey! What is this?!" She shouted.

Vergil smirked and continued running. Dash tried bucking her way out of the circle but couldn't until Dante came up and then slashed the circle with Rebellion and got Dash free.

"What was that?" She asked.

"Looks like a demon trap. And it was blue. Obviously my bro set it there." Dante answered.

"WHAT?! Why that no good, slimy, cheating..." Dash started.

"Hey chill out RD. Vergil was always a sore loser during our childhood. He even resorted to secretly cheating to win." The demon hunter said.

"Heh. Well let's get back in the race." Dash said.

She then saw that Dante was gone and saw that he was way up ahead.

"See you at the finish line!!!" He shouted.

The race got serious although most of the other racers didn't make it, mostly cause of Vergil's demon traps. All of the racers were out except for Twilight, Dash, Applejack, Dante and Vergil. They entered Whitetail Wood and the race got even more serious. Applejack and Dash were resulting to cheating to win although they occasionaly came across Vergil's traps and got slowed down even more. Dante however avoided them until he was caught up with his brother.

"You know that booby trapping the race track is cheating right?"

"It didn't say that in the rules. Now if you'll excuse me I have a race to win and a score to settle."

He then took off and Dante set off one of the traps. A giant fireball dropped down but the demon hunter pulled out Agni and Rudra and twirled them together creating a whirlwind of wind and fire that blew the fireball away and coincidently landing on Rainbow Dash and Applejack. After a while AJ and RD caught up with Dante and Vergil and both teams were trying their best to make the other lose but AJ mistakingly pulled the ropes tied to RD's wings lose and she tried to fly but AJ tried to stop her but both of them ended up crashing into the demon brothers as the four went across the finish line.

"I won!" Rainbow Dash said.

"No, I won!" Applejack said.

"You better get ready to cry cause yours truely won the race." Dante said.

"Foolishness Dante... Foolishness. It is obvious that I won." Vergil said.

"You tied." Spike said.

"For last." Pinkie finished.

"LAST?!" Everypony shouted.

"Then who won?" Vergil asked.

Twilight came up with a first place medallion.

"YOU??!!!" Everypony shouted.

"Yep. While everypony else was strangely taken out while I was pacing and enjoying the scenery, I sprinted to the finish." She explained.

"Those ponies were taken out by traps set by my brother." Dante said.

"Tattle-tale." Vergil said.

"I expected that." Twilight said.

"And you came before me so you lost one point which makes us...." Dante started.

"Tied again." Both brothers said.

"I don't believe it. Twilight beat us." Rainbow Dash said.

"Well, with all your horsing around, it was quite easy." Twilight said.

The orange cowpony and blue pegasus then felt a little ashamed.

"You're right, Twilight. Our behavior was just terrible." Applejack said.

"We weren't very good sports." Rainbow Dash said.

"Sounds to me that an important lesson was learned." Somepony said.

Our heroes turned our heads to see none other than Princess Celestia. They immediately bowed in respect.

"W... What are you doin' here?" Applejack asked.

"Fall is one of my favorite seasons, so I came to celebrate the Running of the Leaves." Celestia said.

"I'm sorry you had to see us being such poor sport, Princess." The orange cowpony said.

"That's all right, Applejack. Anypony can get swept up in the excitement of competition." The sun princess said.

"It's important to remember that the friendship is always more important than the competition." Twilight said.

"Exactly, Twilight. Now, unfortunately, because the two of you were busy tricking each other instead of shaking down leaves, and you two brothers trying to out trap each other many of the lovely trees of Equestria are still covered." Celestia said.

"Why, Princess, I bet we can knock those leaves down for you lickety-split. Whaddya say, friend? Wanna go for another run?" Applejack asked.

"I'd love to stretch my legs." Rainbow Dash said.

The two then took off running.

"..." Vergil was silent.

"What's the matter? Upset you didn't win?" Dante asked.

"No. I'm upset that I had to resort to such brutal tactics to win.... From this moment forward I'm never cheating again." The dark slayer said.

"Yeah. Good for you." The demon hunter said.

"You.... want to help Applejack and Rainbow Dash with the rest of the trees?" Vergil asked.

"You asking me for help..... Who are you and what have you done with my brother?" Dante said sarcastically.

"Don't start with me." The dark slayer said.

"Sorry. I'd like that." The demon hunter said.

The two then took off running too. But Dante seemed to notice something about Vergil: He was smiling, not the usual cold smirk he'd make, but an actual smile. That made Dante warm inside.

He's starting to change.... I hope he turns out alright. He thought to himself.
