The next words that came out of Celestia’s mouth would change their lives

Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash , Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity.
We have a problem in the past two years you have faced many dangers but now comes’ the strongest. This enemy is stronger than Discord, King Sombra, and Queen Chrysalis combined. His name is Dent Death he is an alicorn himself.”

“Golly princess sounds very dangerous but what does he want rule Equestria?”

“That’s just it Applejack he could care less about being the ruler he wants anypony that had any involvement with his capture 1000 years ago and anypony who got rid of his friends such as Discord which includes you six in a how do I say it? A death battle between you six me and Princess Luna. Only one winner may be crowned. I Luna and other members from the royal party had a 12 hour talk the other day and we came up with a solution.”

“Celestia you cannot at all say what I think you’re about to say that’s impossible none of us could do that.”

“Twilight I’m very sorry this has to happen but after 12 hours and only two 10 minute breaks we have come to a terrible decision. Because none of are magic combined can destroy him and he will only go back when 1 pony is crowned the winner we are going into a death match this was the hardest thing to do and it has been set to begin in less than 24 hours The matches for the first round have already been decided.”

All the ponies Luna and the main six started to cry all hugging each other tightly knowing that in a matter of hours most of them would be dead. It all happened in the blink of an eye one second they were heading to Canterlot happy as can be next figuring out they have to kill each other. FlutterShy took it the worst and she knew deep down she was dead already no matter who she would go against too shy not knowing how to fight little lone pick up a weapon.

“Here are the first round line ups battle 1 will be between Applejack and Pinkie Pie.

They looked at each other in tears and hugged so tight.

“Battle 2 between Me and Oh no…. me and Cadence.”

They all stood in place shocked with a lifeless expression on their face princess versus princess. It was hard to know this Celestia grew more tears in her eyes but continued to read off the matches.

“Battle 3 is between Twilight and Rainbow Dash.”

Twilight looked scared and sad but knowing she wanted to live. Rainbow Dash cried also but was determined to win this and end it all she could hope for was not ever to face Fluttershy or Applejack.

“Finally battle 4 is between Rarity and Fluttershy.”

Fluttershy burst out crying and heavy breathing. Rarity was no different but she was not exactly to worried about that she was facing Fluttershy but that she would probably kill her in the end she never had much control of her greediness. This was not a good thing.

“Applejack and Pinkie Pie please report to the garden at the back castle at 10:00 AM tomorrow.”

“This is not good no not one bit nope nope nope! Not one little bit I can’t kill anypony little lone my best best friends.

Pinkie and Applejack were worried the most. The others also were scared shit less and worried. Killing each other, they would never even hurt one another. But know they have been forced by some creature to kill each.

“Excuse me language but what the fuck is wrong with this guy making us kill each other that some crazy shit.”

“I know Rainbow Dash but this is the only way to save thousands of lives family friends and everypony else. Just so you will know to end this whole thing quicker and less sad weapons will be placed around the battle field.”

In some ways this calmed the ponies down by maybe 10% since the wouldn’t have to slowly beat them up hoof to hoof a weapon could end this all quicker. Some would say that is not as bad as hoof-to-hoof, which it is not but still heartbreaking for the pony killing that pony even with a weapon.

“Hey Twilight I want you to know that I think you are an awesome friend and a good person and that I’m scared.”

“Me too Rainbow Dash please lay with me knowing these maybe are final hours together.”

Throughout the entire night, some ponies woke up crying and hugging each other others having nightmares of what would happen tomorrow on the field where for some it will become their final resting place. Death a word of a person that is not living anymore that is not possible to talk to or hear someone who’s body has completely shut down no movement no twitch not even a breath. Soon a lot of them would face death and their friends would have to deal with it the death of their best friends. They have to win some thought to themselves that they would not let some creature take them over. Princess Celestia and Cadance had similar thoughts. That they wouldn’t let Luna have to handle everything. Cadance also knew she couldn’t leave her husband. Shining Armor would be devastated. Knowing she would be gone would drive him insane and have some dark thoughts. In just a few hours the morning sun would rise and the day of death will begin. Most days are planned and go good in a somewhat predictable way. But tomorrow hold surprises and be unpredictable. Who will be dead by the end of the day? By Midnight Applejack relized. Nothing is going change that she would have to kill Pinkie Pie.
