You may be athletic but you are not magical kept saying the voice in Rainbow dashes head. She was worried she knew she was good at hoof to hoof combat but Twilight was good at her magic. So many questions and no answers there had to be something up with the Dent Death character he came out of nowhere. How could somepony be so much stronger than Celestia stronger than all the enemies combined she had about 10 minutes before the match would begin so she went to find Celestia maybe she had answers. Meanwhile Twilight studied the meaning of fighting and how too. Even after the worst came to Equestria she was still an egghead at heart.

“Celestia I had a question.”

“What is it Rainbow?”

“What made that Dent Death guy so strong and why is he back?”

“You see Rainbow 1000 years ago when Luna and I were ruling together we had a Student named Den which is where Dent comes from. He was one of our greatest students we ever had. Better than Twilight even he was one spell away from becoming an alicorn and a prince but after almost two months and many attempts he couldn’t do it and learned some other magic spells never taught at the school he then asked us if he could now be a prince. We of course said no that he needed to learn what we did. He argued that he learned even more magic and that because we did not make him a ruler he would teach himself new spells and make new magic after 2 years he became an alicorn on his own and vowed to make not just us all of Equestria pay.

“My goodness but why is he back?”

“Well Rainbow how do I say this w-“

The speakers came on and said for Rainbow dash and Twilight sparkle to report to the battlefield and everyone else would be able to come back to their seats in five minutes. They started down the stairs when Twilight stopped Rainbow and started to speak.

“Rainbow whatever happens outside just know I really will miss you either way if I live or you live, and that these years together have been great.”

“Same here Twilight you’ve been an awesome friend too me and the others.”

Like Applejack and Pinkie Pie they were greeted by the two guards and explained the rules to them as they practiced Twilight didn’t train much with weapons but more with her magic which would come in handy. After a few more minutes the others ponies started packing into the stands and Applejack was placed in the same box as Dent was. Dent grind at her and said congrats on your success in an evil voice. She stood in place not responding back. The speakers came on and said 30 seconds till battle begins.

“Twilight I love you but you do know what I have to do right?”

“I understand Rainbow I love you too and I hope you understand what I have to do too.”
“I understand too Twilight.”

“ Ten nine eight seven six five four three two one begin.

Rainbow dash ran back for the armor she started putting it on when a small bolt hit the table. Twilight had fighter on her face she didn’t want to die even if it came to this. Rainbow dash flew up and dashed for Twilight. Twilight thought she could doge it by moving left but Rainbow dash took a sharp turn and hit Twilight right in the chest. The crowd cheered and whistled for their favorite pony. But Applejack and the others sat there with sadness covering their faces as once more another 2 friends were forced to face each other. Twilight got back up but once more was hit with Rainbow’s tale, which left a big gash on the side of her face. She moaned in pane but used a spell to heal it. Rainbow dash came for another sweep at Twilight but actually missed. It sent her slamming into the wall she had a headache for a little bit then Twilight used an orb spell that could make her lose a limb from pain Rainbow move out of the way in the nick of time it exploded and sent Rainbow flying. She then spread out her wings and started to fly herself waiting for Twilights next move. After almost a complete minute of waiting Rainbow took the shot and hit Twilight head on but not with her body with a tiny knife that she had grabbed when getting the armor. Twilight started to bleed from her left leg. You ba bas ba bastard! How could you! Twilight sent yet again another bolt heading Rainbow’s way. She got hit and fell to the ground. Both lay injured on the ground moaning in pain. Rainbow was first to get back up she then scurried over to where all the medicine was being held at and applied as much as possible to stop the pain. Twilight tried as fast as she could to try and pull the knife out of her leg. Even magic barley helped it was deep down in her leg but lucky she pulled it out both ponies stood on opposite ends of the arena breathing heavily and prepared for what’s next. Rainbow started walking around then trotting then flying and Twilight started to regain her balance and started to slowly cast spells to hit Rainbow some did but were not powerful enough to do any harm or injury to Rainbow. That’s when Rainbow knew there was only one other way to end this. A rainboom could end it all. She flew as high as the stadium would let her she swirled around a few time to get prepared Twilight still sent bolts of magic to hit rainbow but it couldn’t hit her not one bolt. Rainbow was ready she sped up faster and faster then got into possession. She flew straight down no holding back she thought to herself. Twilight looked up and knew this was the last of her that she had lost. The impact came Rainbow had hit the ground and caused an explosion. Both ponies lay unconscious on the rocky terrain motionless and breathe less (Insert sad music here) the guards came out with medical kits to check their pulses. They had resumed laying there for 10 minutes by that time some ponies left. However, when a lot had started to leave they were forced by Dent to stay and wait. A bit more of time passed when Twilight had started getting up. She looked over at Rainbow who still laid motionless.

“I won? I WON! I did it! I won im so sorry Rainbow it came to this.”

She went over and closed Rainbows eyes right when she closed them Twilight was kicked 20 feet in the air and fell back down and broke her collar bone. She cried in pain weeping. Rainbow slowly started to get up and moaned while speaking the words.

“No~~pony UH AH! FUCK WITH RAINBOWDASH! Twilight quickly used a shield spell but was not sturdy enough to hold back a sword slash from Rainbow dash. Twilights head had been cut off and fell off her body. Rainbow fell to her hoofs and started crying.

“*sniff* why why did I have to do this why!

An evil laugh could be heard from the stands they looked up to see Dent chuckling about what had just happened to Twilight. They all went back to the mess hall for break before Celestia and Cadence would battle it out. Then a pony reporter came up to Rainbow and asked how it felt.

“It was tough and sad having to kill a longtime friend but in a way I’m glad I wo-
Oh no I won!

Rainbow dash gulped and realized she would have to kill her number 1 best friend Applejack in Two days. She ran off with pre-tears in her eyes. She went to her room and slammed the door behind her shut. It wouldn’t be easy like it was with Twilight Applejack was her best friend. That is when Applejack opened the door and said

“Rainbow I need to show you something.”

“Yes Applejack?”

Applejack grabbed Rainbow dash and passionately kissed Rainbow dash on the lips. Both enjoyed the kiss. After a minute Applejack broke the kiss and said.

“I may be a mare in love with stallions but you are the only mare I have those kind of feelings for and if we do have to kill each other I need to do that and confess to you.”

“Me too AJ I have felt the same way for a while and I wish you luck.”

Applejack smiled then left the room. Rainbow sat on her bed shocked of what just happened she laid back and closed her eyes with a bright smile on her face. Rainbow dash took a book out of her saddlebag and looked at the pictures from her as a Philly to now. They contained pictures of her and Scootalo. Nevertheless, she had two special pages of her and Applejack. At the top, it said Friends forever. She realized and told herself that she needed to do something that will stop her from fighting Applejack. Rarity opened the door and started to speak.

“You don’t want to face Applejack don’t you?”

“Of course not I don’t want to fight any of you but don’t take this as any offence but I don’t want to face Applejack the most if you understand what I mean.”

“I understand darling and don’t worry about the offence part well I must be going only a little more to eat.”

“Alright bye.”
