A Love That Burns Brighter Than The Sun

"Twilight, why in the hell did you tell her that?" Eternal asks all frustrated.

"Why not, I mean, Sunset and the others know I'm a princess, so there's no harm in letting the others know about you." Twilight says with a smile on her face.

"Twilight, when and why did you tell them that as well? I don't tell the others of my title because it's practically the same as bragging to the entire world." Eternal says.

"Well it wasn't exactly me who told them." Twilight says nervously

"Then who did?" Eternal asks.

"I did!" A voice shouts from behind Eternal, making him jump.

"SWEET BEANS IN A BASKET!!! What the hell? Don't sneak up on me like that." Eternal says with his hand over his chest.

He turns around and sees a girl with light pink skin and  pink poofy hair.

"Pinkie? Is that you?" Eternal asks

"Yup-a-roonie, that's my name! Pinkie Pie, party thrower EXTRAORDINAIR!!!" She says taking out her party cannon and shooting her graffiti into the air. This made Eternal get blown back and fall flat on his rear.

'And an effective ear blower, that's for sure.' he thought as he got back up.

"But how do you know my name? Are you psychic?! Are you?.....ARE YOU?!" she asks grabbing his tan coat and shaking him back and forth rapidly making him dizzy.

"Will ya calm down, sugarcube? Yer gonna damage that there brain o' his if ya keep shakin' 'im like that." said another voice.

Eternal immediately recognized that southern country voice. "Oh hi there Applejack." He says turning to the girl with a cowgirl hat with blonde hair and white shirt.

"Whoa partner, how'd you know ma name was Applejack? I didn't introduce maself." Applejack asks raising an eyebrow.

"Well, actually girls, he and I came from Equestria, he, his brother and his friends moved into Ponyville a few months ago. The reason why he knows you all by name is because he met the pony versions of you all. Except you, Sunset."  Twilight explains as she turns to Sunset.

"Unfortunately, my journey to Ponyville didn't start out so well." Eternal says looking down with his eyes closed.

"Why not?" They all ask in unison.

Eternal then explains what happened during his journey to Ponyville in very specific and yet very disturbing detail. While he was telling his story, the others had their mouths hanging open. Finally, after he finishes his story, he gets an unexpected hug from Sunset.

"I'm sorry you went through the pain and suffering during that week. I wish I could've been there to stop it." Sunset says with tears running down her eyes.

"There's no need to dwell in the past. What happened back then is just a memory now. I've moved on and I'll keep moving forward for as long as there's breath in my lungs." Eternal says as he's hugging Sunset back.

"Hey, since we have a new friend, and the fact that he's good friends with Twilight, LET'S THROW HIM A WELCOMING PARTY!!!" Pinkie shouts firing her party cannons again.

'YEOWCH!!! I'm never gonna get use her blasting that damn thing in my face. But it is Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie.' Eternal thought.

"Sure, but I doubt that we can throw one at Canterlot High. He's not even a student here." Sunset say

"Well, neither am I." Twilight says

"That's different." replies Sunset

"Hey I know, we can celebrate it my place! My parents are going on a boat cruise for their honeymoon anyway!" Pinkie Pie says.

"Well I guess we can do that. You ok with this Eternal?" Sunset asks

"Sure, I don't see any problems with it." Eternal says shrugging

While the girls were getting stuff ready for Eternal's welcoming party, Sunset takes Eternal over to Sugar Cube Corner for a little chat. Sunset was a bit interested in learning more about Eternal. They ordered their drinks, which were a strawberry milkshake for Sunset and cup of coffee for Eternal, which to him tasted exactly like the espressos he drinks back in Equesrtria. They take their seat at a table near the front door of the place.

"So Eternal, tell me. Why did you move out of your kingdom?"

"I wanted to start a new life over in Ponyville while at the same pursue 2 of my life long goals.

"What were they, exactly?"

"One: To find my mom, which I already have, and Two: To become the strongest guardian of Equestria."

"That sounds like it'll be a tough challenge. But I know if you put your heart into it, you'll get there."

"Thanks, Sunset, it means a lot coming from you."

"You're welcome."

"So what was it like growing up here?"

"Well, I wasn't exactly born here, Eternal. I'm actually from Equestria myself."

"Wait, you are?"

"Yeah, but it probably sounds like I'm making it up, so why don't I just prove it to you?"

"How?"

Without even saying anything, she leans over to him, places her hand on his shoulder and her eyes start glowing white. She sees one of Eternal's recent memories of when he was still at war with the dragons. She then lets go of him and sits back down.

"I guess even the war against the dragons left mental scars on you, didn't they?" Sunset asks

"W-wait...how di-" Eternal pauses for a moment and just sighs. "Alright, Sunset, I believe you. But why did you leave Equestria."

"I...I was blinded by my own anger. Because back when I was still Princess Celestia's apprentice, I wanted to become a princess as well, but I never had the chance." She says with her head hanging down. "When I came here, I wanted to rule the school, but it wasn't enough for me. I just..." Sunset was then stopped by Eternal who placed his hand over her mouth.

"I think I know. You wanted rule the school with strong magical energy right?" Eternal asks.

"H-how'd you know?"

"Because...back then when I was still a growing stallion, I had fought this guy who had the exact same ambitions. He wanted to rule the Rogue Kingdom because he was born with 2 different powers. In which case has never happened before in our entire legacy. But I managed to defeat him while my father sent him off to Tartarus."

"That's terrible! But...it wasn't as terrible as when I wanted to rule Equestria. But Twilight and her friends helped show me the error of my ways after the Fall Formal."

"That's good to hear." Eternal says with a warm smile. "If anything, I'd say you made quite a life here after they supported you throughout these past few years."

Without even saying a word, Sunset pulled in Eternal for a big hug. This made Eternal blush like crazy. No girl ever hugged him before in his entire life, besides his own mother. Eternal then wrapped his arms around Sunset gently hugging her. For the first time in his entire life, Eternal felt like...he was in love. The moment was cut short when Sunset's phone rang. She let go of Eternal and answered it.

"Hello?"

"... ..."

"Hmm, okay then."

"... ..."

"Alright, bye." she says hanging up.

"What's going on?" Eternal asks.

"Something bad happened at Pinkie's house, we gotta go." Sunset says in a rush.

"What?! Crap, I'm right behind you." Eternal says jumping out of the chair.

Eternal and Sunset had ran towards Pinkie's Pie's house. Sunset was leading the way since Eternal wasn't familiar with the neighborhood in the slightest. Eventually after passing a couple of blocks, they reached their destination.

"Alright, Eternal. You stay here, I'll go check it out. Don't worry, I'm skilled with combat as well so if I need you I'll yell for you."

"Alright I trust you." he says with a serious look on his face.

Sunset then enter the house and closes the door behind her with Eternal still outside. Eternal doesn't know what's gonna happen, but he kept his back hunched ready to dart in. Out of nowhere...

"ETERNAL, GET IN HURRY!!!" Sunset shouted in fear

Without hesitation he bolted at the door opening it with brute force. All too quickly, the light came on and miniature party poppers started blasting streamers at his face.

"SURPRISE!!!" Everybody shouted.

Eternal jumped back panting.

"DAMN, WHAT THE HELL?!" Eternal shouted

Pinkie started bursting out laughing and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Oh you should've seen the look on your face!"

"Alright, alright, laugh all you want. Where's Sunset? I thought she said something bad happened." said Eternal

"Something bad DID happen. You weren't here to enjoy the party with us, silly." Pinkie says with a giggle.

Eternal then facepalmed himself. He wanted to blast at Pinkie Pie with his own booming voice (which he got from his Aunt Luna at birth) but at the same time, he tells himself he's just being too serious and he needs to lighten up. Eternal decides to let it go and get on with the welcoming party. Once they had their fill of all the snacks, Pinkie Pie then had an idea.

"Hey I know, how about we play a game. This one is my personal favorite." Pinkie Pie says with a bright smile.

"And what game would that be?" Eternal asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Truth or Dare." Pinkie Pie says

"Hmm...I never heard of that game before...but I guess I can give it a shot." says Eternal, causing the other girls to gasp and then giggle since they have the one guy that doesn't know the joy and horror of Truth or Dare.
