Author's Note

Apple Bloom and her friends witness the Rainbooms and THEIR friends going through the trials of the Roomerang house.

August 26-Roomerang

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo walk down the streets of Jackbox Village. Soon, they made their way to the TV studio where the farm girl was a couple of times.

"So, this is where you took part in You Don't Know Jack and Quiplash, huh?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yup." Apple Bloom replied. "I've been having good memories of this village. Including this TV studio."

"So, who gave us the invitation to come here?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"I don't know. It just said to come here."

Soon, they were approached by a person Apple Bloom met weeks ago. She was surprised to see this person. "Rue!!"

It was indeed Rue, the slender host of Roomerang. "Hello, Cutie Mark Crusaders. Thanks for receiving my invitation."

"You sent us the invitation to come here?"

"I sure do. I have a great edition of Roomerang. And, I figured you three would like to watch it here in the studio."

"How special is it?" Sweetie asked.

"Come with me, girls. And, I'll show you."

The girls were shown into a lounge area to watch the show. Later, Rue appeared on the screen. "Hello, friends. Welcome to Roomerang. Where you make friends or points. But, not both. Let's meet the roomies."

The trio were shocked to see that all seven Rainbooms were there along with Trixie and Starlight Glimmer.

"I'll bet they were invited to take part in this show." Sweetie thought.

Apple Bloom and Scootaloo nodded. Rue soon appeared. "Round one: Introductions. How would you enter the house at the beginning of this show?"

The nine girls entered their responses. They each receive five points. And, will have more or less points depending on the votes. Some of the girls got votes for their responses. The winner of this round was Applejack. She received three votes for her response, "Marching in and saying Yee Haw!". Apple Bloom was happy for this. "Now, she'll get safety from elimination."

Pretty soon, it was elimination time. After the votes were casted, Rue came onto the screen. "The eliminated player is....." Her card read "Fluttershy". "Who's to blame? Let's find out!"

Seems three of the girls voted for Fluttershy. Three of her points were taken away and distributed to those who voted for her. Fluttershy looked at her friends and said, "I won't be gone long. You'll see."

She left the house. Rue was saddened. "Okay, we get it. Gone, but not forgotten." Then, the doorbell rang. "A doorbell? In this economy?"

Fluttershy came back with cat ears on her head.

"That's right." Sweetie Belle realized. "The eliminated guest returns with a vowel in their name changed and new identity."

"What's Fluttershy become?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Flittershy. Karate Girl."

Rue returned to the screen. "Round two: Relations. You help a fellow roomie out. What are you planning? I sent the name of the chosen roomie on your device."

After the names and answers were chosen, everybody voted. With three votes, Fluttershy (AKA Flittershy) wins. She was given Twilight Sparkle and responded, "I'll teach her Karate to defend herself."

The CMCs applauded their nature loving friend. Twilight also got points since she was the subject. Fluttershy was given a chance to cancel somebody's elimination vote. She cancelled Sunset Shimmer's chance. Soon, it was elimination time. After the votes were done, Rue made the announcement. "The eliminated player is....." The name revealed was "Trixie". "Who did this?"

Many of the roomies gave three of them two each. Rue broke the tie by choosing Trixie. Before leaving, Trixie said, "The Great and Powerful Trixie shall return."

As she left, Rue was a bit sad. "That's enough. Were they ever here?" The doorbell soon rang. "Hang on. I'm coming."

Trixie returns renamed Traxie. She has a straw hat on her head. Her new identity, race car fan.

"Round three." Rue said. "And, it's a quickie. What do you do before going to bed? We're doing this in the dark."

"In the dark?" Apple Bloom gasped.

"The roomies are kept hidden until their responses are shown." Sweetie Belle explained. "Their identities are revealed after the votes."

The roomies responses were good. From reading a book to meditation. Soon, the answer, "Listening to Music," got four votes. It was revealed as Sunset Shimmer's answer. She was given a chance to be the only one to vote somebody out. Rue soon came on the screen. "The eliminated player is....."
The revealed name was, "Rarity". "That's brutal."

Rarity saw Sunset's comment. "Sorry. Random choice." Before leaving, Rarity said, "I'll be back, darlings. I have no grudges."

Rue commented on Rarity leaving. "Nothing will be the same." The doorbell soon rang. "They found me! I mean, who is it?"

Rarity returns wearing sunglasses, and is renamed Rerity. Her identity, movie critic.

"A movie critic?" Sweetie Belle said. "This should be interesting."

Rue came back. "Round four: The Firestarter Round. One of your roommates stole something you brought to the house. Who was it. And, what did they steal?"

The responses were brutal. Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Starlight are tied with votes. Rue speaks. “If there's a tie, I decide and you have to live with it."

Twilight Sparkle was chosen. She picked Rainbow Dash. Twilight's response was "She stole a diploma given to me by Professor Nanners."

"You can't blame me, Twi." Rainbow said. "Diplomas are a big deal."

Everybody got a good laugh. But, the laughter stops when the elimination came. Twilight received the ability to save Sunset Shimmer from elimination. Rue made her announcement. "The eliminated player is......" Her card read "Pinkie Pie". "Want to know who did this?"

Three of the roomies voted for her. As she leaves, Applejack spoke to her. "Sorry, Pinks. It's how you play the game."

"No worries." Pinkie said. "This was fun. Bye."

Pinkie left, leaving Rue to say, "I miss them already." The doorbell soon rang. "The door? At this hour?"

The party girl comes in wearing a mustache. She goes by the name Punkie Pie. Her Identity: punk musician.

"Somehow, Pinkie looks cute with that mustache." Scootaloo giggled.

Rue came back to the scene. "Congratulations on making it to the final round." Pictures of Trixie, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity appeared. "We did lose a few friends along the way." She then turned to the roomies. "Here's your chance to prove why you and you alone should win Roomerang."

The CMCs watch carefully. Rue then set the stage. "Fasten your seat belts. It's the Finale Round. I want you to think of your time in the house and ask yourself, What's your favorite moment of this game?"

The nine girls made their decisions. All responses were good. From making friends to enjoying the atmosphere. The girls soon saw their points adjusted by who wants them to win, and who's holding them back. One by one, their points are shown. Soon, Sunset Shimmer and Applejack are the last two. Rue wondered, "Who will it be?"

Applejack had 17 points. But, Sunset Shimmer had 20. She was the winner of the game. Rue then turned to Sunset. "Give us a victory speech, darling. You deserve it."

Sunset then gave a short speech. "Party at my apartment! Woop Woop!"

"We're good, baby. Byeeee!"

The CMCs were soon lead out of the lodge to join the Rainbooms. Apple Bloom was getting over this experience. "Wow! What a show."
