It's party time for Chrysalis as she helps Pinkie Pie prepare for a birthday party.

A Party Full of Laughter

In her little home, Chrysalis watches a movie on TV about a camp counselor trying to offer help to an uncooperative girl. She looks at her parents who had plans to take her away from the camp.

"You aren't here to help me!" The girl said angrily. "You want to keep me in trouble!"

With that, she let her parents take her back home. This hit Chrysalis hard. "Starlight Glimmer offered me a chance to redeem myself and I refused it." She then felt sorrow. "I was so stubborn!"

Snapping out if her depression, Chrysalis looked at the pictures of the Humane Seven. Now that Applejack and Fluttershy helped out, there are five more girls to visit.

"They say laughter is the best medicine." Chrysalis thought. "So, my next guide is Pinkie Pie. Her pony counterpart represents Laughter, another Element of Harmony."

After finishing a bagel and orange juice, the former changeling stepped outside to head for the Pie residence. But, just as she walking down the street, somebody honked a horn and startled her.

"Hi, Chryssy!" Shouted a squeaky voice!

Chrysalis turned and saw Pinkie Pie waving to her.

"Oh. Hello, Pinkie Pie." Chrysalis greeted. "I was just on my way to your humble abode."

"I thought as much." Pinkie Pie replied. "I decided to save you the trouble."

"So, what are you up to today?"

"I'm one my way to Rumble's house to prepare a surprise birthday party while he's spending the day with his brother." Pinkie then opened the door to her car. "I'll give you a lift."

This confused the visitor from Equestria. "You're taking me with you?"

"Of course. Maybe you can help me."

This has Chrysalis concerned. But, she decided that it wouldn't hurt to tag along. "You got yourself a deal!"

Chrysalis went with Pinkie Pie over to Rumble's house to set up for the party. Chrysalis looks around and is surprised with the decorations. The backyard is set up like a fantasy story.

"I feel very nostalgic with this set up." Chrysalis admitted. "Know what I mean?"

"Rumble always like those fantasy stories." Pinkie Pie informed. "Dragons, knights, princesses, and so on. So, I'm going to greet the birthday boy as a magical princess."

Suddenly, Chrysalis opened her eyes widely. "Would it be okay if I join the fun?"

"Really?" Pinkie gasped. "What can you do?"

"I'm sure Sunset Shimmer told you about creatures from Equestria called Changelings."

"Yeah. She and Princess Twilight did. And, I heard you were the queen of that tribe."

"Yes, indeed. How about I portray a dark witch who wants to ruin the celebration? That would spice up the birthday party."

"Good idea! I'll have my friend, Rarity, design a costume for you."

As Pinkie reached for her cell phone, Chrysalis looks at the backyard with admiration.

"This version of Pinkie Pie has a great imagination when it comes to party planning." Chrysalis said to herself. "Just like her pony counterpart."

Chrysalis soon felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Pinkie who got her attention. "Rarity wants me to measure you so your costume will fit."

"Good idea." Chrysalis replied. "Got to be ready."

Using measuring tape, Pinkie measured Chrysalis for the costume Rarity is whipping up. The visitor is getting nervous. I hope this costume will turn out okay.

Later, Rumble and his brother, Thunderlane, return from their day together.

"Enjoying our time together, Rumble?" Thunderlane asked.

"That time in the movie theater was great." Rumble answered. "This is the best birthday I ever had."

"Well, I have a feeling it's going to get better."

They went into the backyard, and a bunch of people jumped out to yell. "SURPRISE!"

Rumble was shocked as Thunderlane comforted him. "Happy birthday, bro."

This was a nice surprise for Rumble. In another room, Chrysalis looks at her self in a mirror. She has on a dark green royal gown with lime green sleeves and has on lime green shoes.

"This look beautiful." Chrysalis said as she puts on a wicked looking crown. "I feel like royalty again."

The party goes well. Until Trixie, who was invited to the party, sees Chrysalis signal her. Trixie secretly throws a smoke bomb and it exploded. Everybody saw the puff of black smoke. When the smoke cleared, Chrysalis stood firm and ready to strike.

"Hello, fools." Chrysalis greeted wickedly. "Did I hear that it's somebody's birthday?"

"That would be my birthday." Rumble answered. "Who are you?"

"I am Queen Chrysalis. A member of dark royalty. And, your party is over!"

Chrysalis gave a maniacal laugh that scared some of the guests. Suddenly, a BANG was heard, and Chrysalis was showered by confetti.

"Nobody ruins any party with me around!" Called out a squeaky voice.

Out steps Pinkie Pie wearing a white top, red long skirt and shoes, and a flowing yellow cape.

"Princess Pinkie Pie!" Chrysalis gasped. "The party protector!"

"That's right, Queen Chrysalis!" Pinkie replied. "With my confetti cannon, I shall protect any celebration from ruthless fiends like you."

"In that case, there's only one thing left to do."

Chrysalis steps up to the party girl with the crowd watching.

"If you can't beat em," Chrysalis said as she extends her hand, "join em."

Pinkie and Chrysalis shook hands in friendship. The crowd cheered for this moment. The party went smoothly. Rumble liked the presents he got. Trixie and Chrysalis enjoyed each other.

"The trick with the smoke bombs worked." Trixie said proudly. "Impressive for a first time."

"Thanks, Trixie." Chrysalis replied. "I wonder if you'll perform your magic here. You are a magician, after all."

"I do have some tricks I've been wanting to try out. Thanks for the suggestion."

This was a great day for everyone. Later, Pinkie dropped Chrysalis back to her house. The visitor was given her queen costume as a gift for helping with the party. In her living room, Chrysalis was enjoying a piece of Rumble's birthday cake that was given to her by the birthday boy.

"Strawberry cake with chocolate frosting." Chrysalis said happily. "Talk about a sweet reward."

As Chrysalis enjoys the dessert, she can't wait to see who she'll learn from next.
